SIU Manager Insurance Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Audit Manager Review" March 3, 2023 4.0 Overall I really like Audit Manager and I am a return customer. No system out there is perfect but this one is almost there. Pros Audit Manager is fairly easy to use once you get to know the system. I like that as an administrator I can see the status of all projects. It is very easy to create the projects and upload the supporting elements. Implementation is very easy and quick, and all of my staff got started right away. Customization is amazing. the Healthicity staff is amazing and very knowledgeable in their field. Cons We have found that we have to double enter items in order for them to be captured. We really wish thing could be captured during the first step in the review instead of having to re-enter at the end. The screens take a little time to load and the number of times you have to click on save becomes tedious and thing do get lost. Customizing to capture elements for reporting purposes when the data is already available is causing double work on the staff and possible human error. Reason for choosing Audit Manager I choose Audit Manager because of my past experience with the system and because I knew the staff works so hard to find solutions that work for us. You can customize both audit settings and report settings. It also has short webinar modules for training on provider issues. Cons I am unable to import all fields of reports from Cerner to match all fields that I utilize for audits. Coding Audit Manager Hospital & Health Care Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Terrible and slow Integration/Claims Connect " February 17, 2023 2.0 Training and support team are available however having them as a middle person for integration is frustrating. Pros Robust reporting, Training Team and Customer Support are awesome Cons My team have been using Audit Manager to perform physician audits since September however the integration/claims connect still is not complete. We've been paying for this feature and haven't benefited by it. In addition, a significant request to add charge and payment, since we were told adding and maintaining payers FS would be cumbersome and resulted to refer to the Medicare FS, required an upgrade with an additional cost. Our organization uses financial compliance accuracy to benchmark our audits, this is a deal breaker as we are not changing our current method. Reason for choosing Audit Manager We had 2 reputable options and chose Audit Manager because promise to increase the efficacy of our audits by 40%, less keystrokes and its robust reporting. February 17, 2023 5.0 We perform different types of audits, Annual audits, New Provider audits, Compliance Committee audits, Integration Audits, and New Business Analyses. We also perform focused audits depending on the OIG watchlist. Pros Ease of customization, user-friendly to perform audits. Historical data for a specific provider or group is easy to capture. Cons They got off to a bit of a rocky start in the beginning. At the time, Healthicity didn't have a lot of end-user training for their new clients. Customer service was a little slow. It's easy to use, flows nicely just like an audit tool and is highly customizable based on how you want to audit. You can make it as easy or as complex as you want. Pros Easy to use, compliant, tons of features, customizable, great reporting tools, can audit surgeries, add your own templates. Web Based, free educational tools and webinars to assign to providers! Cons Uploading bulk notes doesn't work well, can't separate out automatically within software. Cannot report out by comments used. (in excel format all the comments are put into 1 cell) Reason for choosing Audit Manager I had switched from Intelicode when I was at a previous company to Audicy (now Audit Manager) and loved it. When I started up my audits at my new employer there was no question as to what software I was going to use. Pros Very helpful when it came to organizing audits and seeing what needed done and when. Initially prior to 2021 E/M guideline changes, the program was very helpful in determining overall MDM levels. The software was easy to use and the reports were clear and easy to understand. The reporting process is easy and the provider report is very easy for me to review with the provider. Pros I have been using Audit Manager for a little over 5 years and have been extremely happy with the product. The pricing at the time that we were looking for audit software drew our attention. Before this purchase we documentation audits manually with a spreadsheet document but had no way of monitoring or comparing our provider results. This quickly met our needs Cons I cannot think of any cons, AM does everything that we need it to do. Reason for choosing Audit Manager The cost was the reason we selected Audit Manager. This keeps us compliant with CMS, etc. Pros The system is easy to add/delete physicians as they come & go. It is also very easy to create an audit with the parameters and assign the MD's & auditor. The audit reports are very helpful, they do all the math for you. Less clicking than MD Audit! Cons Occasionally there are slow downs. Cons I just audit the assigned providers and I cannot remove providers that may have been added in error, manager needs to do that.
