Stax has a great support team if you have any questions or concerns. The website is easy to manage and I get an email every day telling me how much was deposited into my account.

Pros

Stax has saved me money by letting me charge the customer for using their credit cards and a low fee if they use debit cards.

Cons

The least thing I like about Stax is just navigating how to take out the Debit fees and the monthly fees out of the deposits daily.

The best part is the quick response - even when submitting a ticket! I can literally just wait a few minutes and know that someone will email me back pretty quick with an answer to my question.

Pros

I prefer chat BUT even though you may sometimes have to do "a ticket" - it doesn't take long for someone to reply.

Cons

Would be nice to have access to your processing limit amount somewhere inside your account. Between my two businesses I have a hard time remembering what is what.

Very easy to setup and low fees compared to others. Alex was super helpful getting it all setup and easy to talk with

Cons

I have to do my PCI myself. They do send you a notification when it needs to be done and are available to help

Pros

Stax has made it easy to process payments and keep fees reasonable. Shae was really helpful with answering questions I had quickly.

Cons

The login link is really hard to get to. We have to have it copy and pasted to each other and keep it bookmarked to get into the portal. The 2MFA also has me redo it twice, so it's like a 4MFA instead.

I don't have any cons! My role is admin assistant for the office, so I never used the Dejavoo terminals personally. I was just calling to find out if we needed to return the third one we used.

I called the number on a previous statement but that was not the number for customer service. I had to ask the customer service rep for the number I need to use.

easy process from day 1, getting set up, we had guidance each step of the way as needed, the portal is easy to use when needed and the pricing structure is easy to understand

Pros

Easy to use, saving me tons of money on CC transaction fees monthly, any time I have a questions, someone helps immediately!

Cons

I don't love that the cc processor cant be used unplugged but it is no biggie! No other complaints or problems!

I just started using Stax/Swipe Simple for a week now and I LOVE it. It’s very easy to find everything you need

Pros

I love how easy and understanding it is to use Stax and how the recurring billing is set up. I will recommend this company to everyone I know.

Cons

I haven’t found anything that I dislike about using using Stax/Swipe Simple. I have used other credit card processing companies and they were very hard to understand and the pricing was to high.

### "If credit card processing is a major source of cashflow, DONT USE STAX"

Switched over to Stax at the beginning of 2025, all was well, ran approx. 450 transactions a month, was close to $1mm in revenue through them and they froze my merchant account without warning. The freeze started on a friday and lasted the whole weekend (in which we were working and running cards). The total they froze was $45k in revenue. Customer service was awful and acted like this wasnt a big deal, to a small business its a very big deal. Never could get a direct phone number to speak with someone through this whole incident, email only. Took me 14 days to for them to release my funds. But you can bet they took there fees and monthly membership out right on time (before they released the funds). I requested a two month membership refund (which wouldnt even cover the cost of money I had to borrow to float this cashflow nightmare) and they refused. If you own a small business and credit card processing is an important part of cashflow DO NOT USE STAX

Pros

Nothing special about their processing verses my previous company, was promised better rates and im not even sure that was happening

Cons

Horrible customer service. The savings pale in comparison to the pain and heartache of dealing with them.

Overall, more training of other staff members is necessary to help them improve their communication and problem-solving skills. \[sensitive content hidden\] on the other hand, was fantastic.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] was extremely helpful and communicative. He went above and beyond to ensure that my request was properly completed, which is something that previous support staff did not do with me on a previous/similar request.

Cons

My previous request was not handled properly back in October, so my request was not completed in that first ticket due to a less-helpful Support Specialist named \[sensitive content hidden\] (this person may need additional training on better supporting customers and problem-solving). This first request for help was never completed, and I ended up being ghosted.

0/10 this was the worst experience in 23 years of practice and dealing with credit card processors .. I will not be referring my you

Pros

Stax set up cost me $12,000 in set up as when we switched clover system they didn’t do auto batch even though your onboarding staff said everything would be the same ..The lack of auto batch was discovered 2 months later which caused charges to drop & we didn’t get paid and those credit cards are no longer valid

Cons

We had to collect over $150,000 from past payments because of your setup error which you blamed on clover … bottom line if we never switched to stax I would be $12,000

I never initially signed up for Stax Payments as they bought out the company I initally signed up with. The other company, Payment Depot, had great service, super friendly and nice always. As stated, they never had anything that set themselves apart that you can't get at any other company. Their biggest thing I felt is how their customer service at Stax is not good at all, they don't care about you, especially at 10-year long customer at that. You are cattle as a customer here. Why join them? You don't really save any money any more compared to anyone else, so why join them? There is no advantage of being a customer of Stax Payments. Goto a company that will treat you right and really want to earn your business, which Stax doesn't try to earn, its almost like expected. Yuck. Shop around, they are a little cheaper and really not much cheaper than Square their biggest competitor and Square at least has all sorts of great analytics dashboards, great service, and they pay out a whole lot fast even same day payouts if you need! Go elsewhere, forget Stax. By the way I have no ties whatsoever to Square, just using them as an example of a better option and there are probably even better options than them, but all of them are better than Stax Payments.

Pros

Honestly, nothing really stood out because they didn't have any cool features that were different from any other processor.

Cons

Their payments took 3-5 days to clear, customer service is not that good, and they always found every way they could to increase my prices monthly. They nickel and dime and don't go to bat for you.

I’m happy with it. If the direct deposit occurred next business day morning. That’s my only real gripe.

Pros

I like the ease of set up. And that you can use multiple devices to run the dongle. It makes it easy.

Cons

I’m frustrated that deposits are not always next business day. Sometimes it happens next day others two days. Sometimes it’s there early in the morning others late in the afternoon.

Our overall experience with Stax has been wonderful. There is virtually no learning curve and the performance and speed of the program is phenomenal. We have bragged about this company to several of our clients.

Pros

The thing I like most about Stax is the customer service. Every time that I call they are so friendly and efficient. Stax comes easy to use and the security is out of this world! We consider Stax the best payment processing company we've ever used.

Cons

The only thing we didn't like is that you have to go through two separate approvals; one to take credit cards and another if you want to take ACH payments.

It was a bit getting Stax working properly. However, I am very satisfied at this point and happy I am using Stax processing.

Pros

Customers spend more when they can pay by card instead of cash. Businesses that accept cards often see higher sales and larger purchases because customers aren’t limited by cash on hand. Credit cards also encourage impulse buying. Simply put: more payment options = more completed sales.

Cons

Customer service is very good but it some times takes a while to reach someone. Having said that I am happy with Stax customer service overall.

Outstanding experience with Stax The approval process with Stax was incredibly smooth and refreshingly straightforward. Their team was responsive, clear, and genuinely helpful at every step, which made onboarding feel easy instead of stressful. After working with Stripe and several other competitors, Stax stands out by a wide margin. Their platform feels more transparent, more merchant-friendly, and far better suited for real businesses—not just developers. The pricing structure is clearer, support is more accessible, and you actually feel like a valued customer rather than just an account number. If you’re comparing payment platforms, Stax is hands-down a better experience than Stripe and others in the space. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, efficient, and well-supported payment solution.

Onboarding, ease of use and cost structure. The person who handled my onboarding was really friendly and communicated so well.

Cons

Nothing. I really cant think of anything that I don't like about Stax. I really hope they don't change anything because everything is perfect the way it is.

Their support people are excellent. Only problem is there's not enough of them so it takes forever to get a call back.

Cons

Their billing policies are less than optimal. If you don't press them on billing issues, they won't get resolved.

All of the sales, customer service and training people we have worked with have been great. They explained everything we needed without going on and on. I appreciated that.

Pros

Ease of use. The rate is way better than what we were paying before. Terminal is easy to use and easy to find the items we need.

Cons

The portal is easy to understand, although I don't know where everything is yet. some of the things aren't obvious.
