Pros

The processing is simple. love you can email and processes through the portal. lots of information. !

Cons

The follow up from customer support wasn't as great. but this was all to do with the clover customer support, they tried to do their best.

Very easy to setup and low fees compared to others. Alex was super helpful getting it all setup and easy to talk with

Cons

I have to do my PCI myself. They do send you a notification when it needs to be done and are available to help

easy process from day 1, getting set up, we had guidance each step of the way as needed, the portal is easy to use when needed and the pricing structure is easy to understand

Pros

Easy to use, saving me tons of money on CC transaction fees monthly, any time I have a questions, someone helps immediately!

Cons

I don't love that the cc processor cant be used unplugged but it is no biggie! No other complaints or problems!

Pros

Save Time. and its very convenient for our clients. Efficient and effective. It gives the results right away and it is fast.

Cons

None. They combined some of the amounts. I wish they just separate each one specially the large amount of deposits. It is just a suggestion.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] was extremely helpful and communicative. He went above and beyond to ensure that my request was properly completed, which is something that previous support staff did not do with me on a previous/similar request.

Cons

My previous request was not handled properly back in October, so my request was not completed in that first ticket due to a less-helpful Support Specialist named \[sensitive content hidden\] (this person may need additional training on better supporting customers and problem-solving). This first request for help was never completed, and I ended up being ghosted.

\[sensitive content hidden\] has been wonderful with helping our office get up and running and I feel more confident with the systems and being able to help patients.

Pros

I have enjoyed the customer support so far. It's a new system for the office and I already have a lot of questions. The terminal seems like it will be very easy to use. \[sensitive content hidden\] has made my learning curve less steep with getting the system integrated.

Cons

I don't like that Stax is not able to integrate into our EHR system and we will now have to do more steps to take payments.

I left Square for Stax, and I am so glad that I did, as the customer service is at a phenomenal rate compared to Square. I'll never go back. Stax is the place.

Cons

I have not experienced a con to date and have been very satisfied with the service. I am only a few weeks young.

We like everything, it works like it is supposed to. Maybe we would like not to pay the debit card fee if possible or pay less.

Pros

Stax saved me .5% off my monthly bill, which doesn't seem like much but REALLY added up fast. Add to that the process was quick and easy and it's a no brainer.

Cons

Nothing much to say in the "don't like" camp. I guess that I had to buy my own terminal? But that's anywhere and the savings paid for the terminal within months.

Processing can be slow, deposits up to 5 days til deposit clears from payments.

Cons

I have been with Stax for about 6 months. No cons at the moment. Service is great. Transaction are consistent.

It was a bit getting Stax working properly. However, I am very satisfied at this point and happy I am using Stax processing.

Pros

Customers spend more when they can pay by card instead of cash. Businesses that accept cards often see higher sales and larger purchases because customers aren’t limited by cash on hand. Credit cards also encourage impulse buying. Simply put: more payment options = more completed sales.

Cons

Customer service is very good but it some times takes a while to reach someone. Having said that I am happy with Stax customer service overall.

Outstanding experience with Stax The approval process with Stax was incredibly smooth and refreshingly straightforward. Their team was responsive, clear, and genuinely helpful at every step, which made onboarding feel easy instead of stressful. After working with Stripe and several other competitors, Stax stands out by a wide margin. Their platform feels more transparent, more merchant-friendly, and far better suited for real businesses—not just developers. The pricing structure is clearer, support is more accessible, and you actually feel like a valued customer rather than just an account number. If you’re comparing payment platforms, Stax is hands-down a better experience than Stripe and others in the space. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, efficient, and well-supported payment solution.

Onboarding, ease of use and cost structure. The person who handled my onboarding was really friendly and communicated so well.

Cons

Nothing. I really cant think of anything that I don't like about Stax. I really hope they don't change anything because everything is perfect the way it is.

All of the sales, customer service and training people we have worked with have been great. They explained everything we needed without going on and on. I appreciated that.

Pros

Ease of use. The rate is way better than what we were paying before. Terminal is easy to use and easy to find the items we need.

Cons

The portal is easy to understand, although I don't know where everything is yet. some of the things aren't obvious.

Pros

Our company is spending less for CC transactions than we ever have before. Other company didn't seem to care how much they were charging a small business.

Cons

Nothing yet - too early to tell. The application was pretty intensive, but I understnd why it is like that.

It all starts out well. But, it's very far from transparent and extremely shady with the fees and the pricing. If you try to get support on a fee/pricing issue, it's almost like a planned ignorance type of framework where you'll have to make many calls and send many emails to wade through the mess of nonsensical and unhelpful responses to get to someone who actually knows what they're talking about. It took months and proably 20+ emails and 20+ phone calls just for Stax to tell us they're keeping the more than $10,000 in improper fees charged to us after we have in writing that these fees would not be added back to our accounts.

Pros

It seems straightforward when you start with Stax. If there truly was a flat-rate fee structure, that would be very appealing.

Cons

Stax adds extra fees that aren't explained up front, and aren't explained when they're added. They add these fees with little or no notice and wait for you to dispute them. These are Performance Analytics and Chargeback fees. They've now added these fees to our accounts three times, to the tune of more than $10,000 in additional fees. After months of back and forth, with many circular communications and nonsensical answers, Stax ultimately just said they're going to keep the ill-gotten money. We've never used Performance Analytics, we've never asked for it, and we've already gone through this once nad have emails from Stax from years ago wherein they state they will not add back these fees. Well, they did it again anyway, and now they're keeping the money.

Overall, it's been great! I appreciate all the support the system provides and customer service has been so nice and helpful. I see my money transfers quickly and I love not having to deal with the high percentages taken from my profit like other processors.

Pros

It's low cost and convenient. Their helpline is always open and has been super supportive in getting my questions answered. Payments are processed quickly and my clients have found the system easy to use and invoices were helpful.

Cons

The only con I can link of is the learning curve that the interface has for me. Also, I'm a private practice owner, so I think that Stax isn't primarily meant for my type of business, so that has made it a little tricky.

Overall, very positive especially as compared to our previous provider which I believe, intentionally makes it difficult to use.

Pros

Love the ease of use, very intuitive and operational very friendly. Also, less expensive than our previous provider.

Cons

The text when cleared through our bank is not clear, not associated with the client. It is like detective work to figure out who paid.

Pros

POS Terminals. Nothing else is positive about Stax. Thry are there to take your money period.

Cons

THEY ARE A RIP OFF COMPANY. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. JUST INCREASED THE MONTHLY FEE ANOTHER 20%. TO $120.00 per month. STAY AWAY!

Money is directly deposited to my account with no problem usually within 1-2 days and the service provided and fees are reasonable. I get many calls to switch to competitors but have no reason to at this time.

Pros

Fast and easy customer support. Payment fees are reasonable. The machine is user friendly, and it automatically prints reports at the end of day for your production numbers.

Cons

Pretty satisfied with the machine and service. I really do not have anything bad to say. We had some glitches going on and they took care of us and sent us a replacement.

Stax has been smooth to implement and easy for my team to use. Payouts are consistent, fees are clear, and the tools save time versus other processors we’ve tried. The one major drawback is the lack of a QuickBooks connection—adds unnecessary bookkeeping work.

Pros

Stax was easy to set up and start using. The dashboard is intuitive, support is responsive, and fees are clear. After trying other processors, this one has been smoother and faster for daily operations.

Cons

Big drawback: it doesn’t connect to QuickBooks. Without a native sync, we’re stuck doing duplicate data entry and manual reconciliations.

Cost effective pricing great value for money great customer support in helping to get set up and make sure it was running properly

Cons

payment processing on some charges was put on hold until I had to provide the invoices to confirm. Even after providing the requested information, I was told that it could take 48-72 business hours for information to be reviewed
