During the time we used it, the software was a dependable solution that brought order to our asset lifecycle. It cut down ghost licenses, simplified equipment checkouts for onboarding employees, and made audit preparation stress free. It served as a solid workhorse that delivered real value throughout our time with it. Pros What stood out most when our team relied on AssetSonar was how easily it unified hardware discovery and software license management into a single platform. Setting up automated discovery agents across our laptops and workstations gave us complete visibility into active endpoints without constant manual audits. The software license optimization tools helped us identify unused subscriptions, which saved us significant money during renewal periods. We also appreciated its smooth integrations with ticketing tools like Jira and Zendesk, making asset checkouts and incident tracking very straightforward for our IT department. Customer support was solid, with ability to submit tickets for bugs and issues. Client version support updated regularly. Cons The main challenge back when we used it was the initial setup and customization period. Configuring custom asset fields and fine tuning user permissions across complex departments required a decent amount of trial and error. Pros Asset Sonar is a comprehensive and cost-effective asset management application designed to seamlessly integrate into any company’s ecosystem. Should any issues arise, Asset Sonar’s responsive customer support team is readily available to provide prompt and effective solutions. The platform is continuously evolving to meet the growing and dynamic needs of IT asset management, ensuring that businesses stay ahead with reliable and scalable tools. Cons I have not identified any cons when using asset sonar after 3 years of use. It is truly a great and beneficial application. Any questions or uncertainties are always easily addressed and answered quickly. Entering data has also been easy and communication is always a priority. Pros AssetSonar is a great software for data tracking. I like that it has capabilities for custom fields to allow us to track the information we need specifically. Cons Sometimes finding glitches in a system can be frustrating. However, the customer service is great, reliable, and timely. We have been able to connect the dots between different information systems and proper asset management. Pros The stability of the product configuration. The product is easy to configure and does not require any configuration maintenance. The platform is configured once and from then on it is just operated. Cons Some filters and field controls are excessive, and make the platform somewhat inflexible. Not having the ability to add unlimited custom fields to your modules limits the creativity and use of AssetSonar in different scenarios. Pros Compliance & Audit Readiness was the key for us to switch to AssetSonar. Integration to Intune is another win. Also each licensed IT asset allows you to track up to five IT peripherals and/or software licenses without requiring additional licenses. Cons Mobile App is pretty Basic. Also custom reports lack complex filtering. But that does not mean that it is useless.
