Pros Compliance & Audit Readiness was the key for us to switch to AssetSonar. Integration to Intune is another win. Also each licensed IT asset allows you to track up to five IT peripherals and/or software licenses without requiring additional licenses. Cons Mobile App is pretty Basic. Also custom reports lack complex filtering. But that does not mean that it is useless. We went from managing our assets in a spreadsheet to having a concrete record of every device include users, repairs and donations. The flexibility of reporting makes it extremely easy to compare our asset data against any of our other platforms. Pros More than anything, AssetSonar provides incredible flexibility and compatibility with several major MDM solutions as well as allowing a very large degree of customization to tailor your workspace to you exact needs. The ability to create custom fields, substates, retirement reasons and more. Another great feature is the ability to generate Custom and Detailed reports which the option to run a report of essentially any specific data that you want as opposed to being forced to run a generic report and then pick through the information that is presented. They are also constantly expanding their offering to ensure that they are providing you with the best management platform available especially with their new and expanding offering of SAAS Integrations. Cons At the moment nothing really comes to mind. Any issue I've had previously has already been fixed or resolved the primary one being the lack of an AssetSOnar Agent for Linux devices and a more straightforward process for instaling the agent on macOS devices. Although their UX has had a major upgrade recently, it doesn't have that "whole new world" issue a lot of platforms have where suddenly navigating your own solution is impossible. Cons I find the reports panel pretty busy, but it's still one of the better reports tabs I've seen. Most of the starred reports are logical and would be used by IT teams. It covers all basic inventory needs. Overall the onboarding process was simple with some minor hiccups in terms of software inventory. Cons What attributes can be synced between Jamf MDM and AssetSonar. It would be great if we could sync things like who the device is assigned to and recovery key. I'm not a fan of the bidirectional sync for software licenses synced through Okta. I would prefer a single direction sync from Okta to AssetSonar to avoid any de-provisioning issues. We have been able to connect the dots between different information systems and proper asset management. Pros The stability of the product configuration. The product is easy to configure and does not require any configuration maintenance. The platform is configured once and from then on it is just operated. Cons Some filters and field controls are excessive, and make the platform somewhat inflexible. The platform makes it super easy to use so that I can get in, do my work and get out of the platform in a short amount of time. Pros Ease of use is at the top of my list with a lot of functionality hidden within. My team mainly uses it for contract / vendor management. Very efficient within that realm. Cons No dislikes as of now. The tool seems to do everything that is required from a vendor contract management perspective.
