Pros We use uberconference for almost all video or multi-person conferencing. It's easy to set up (doesn't require the download of any software) and pretty customizable. Cons The free version only allows 45 minutes of calls, which is adequate for most calls. However, when you're approaching the 45 minute mark there is a very loud recorded voice that tells you that you have only 5 minutes, then 1 minute left, which can be quite disruptive to the call. Pros Easy to set up and very reliable during meetings. Cons The ios App is Brutal. it works and connects but you can only view shared screens or see the control panel I wish there was a way to navigate better. Conferences can also be recorded for those who can't watch the training live. Pros UberConference can be used on any mobile device- anywhere in the world. Meetings can be recorded and screen sharing is featured to enhance online trainings. The best part? It's free! Cons Nothing really, everything has worked great for the simple conference calls I need to schedule. Its a little weird that when I have a call set up I get a text message right before the call saying some named person (who I don't know) is waiting to conference with me. We originally used Skype but would have constant connection issues and that's no problem with UberConference. All we have to do is dial in and we're ready to go. Pros The best feature is that it can be integrated into other work tools such as slack to coordinate meetings and it has a very intuitive interface for clients and users in general. We will continue to use it as long as we are all working remotely, and maybe beyond that as we have some team members who will continue to work remotely. Perhaps I will use it in the future during or after my maternity leave. Pros Right now UberConference is particularly helpful because they are offering a free trial during the Coronavirus outbreak. You can have up to 50 people join your call and the call can last up to five hours. Our team started using it this week and it worked quite smoothly. You can see everyone who is participating and when someone speaks, their video camera pops up on the bottom of the screen so you know immediately who is speaking. Cons There were some on my team who could not get their audio to work and others who called in by phone who couldn't see the videos from other team members. Review Source KC Keith C. Cons I wish there were a little more control from the administrator side. For instance when you are hosting a call and waiting for more people to join, if you are the host, it still plays the hold music, but if it is a meeting you are prepping for, it would be great to have it on and passively waiting for more attendees. Highfive allows us to do that with minimal trouble. Pros The best thing about Highfive is the easy setup. You're up and running in just a few minutes. To get on a call, you create a "meeting" and then send a custom URL to whomever needs to join. There is no limit to how many people can jump on a call. The Slack integration is very handy and the ability to pick which window you want to share (instead of broadcasting your entire screen) is beyond useful. No more awkward social media messages popping up on-screen during a conference call. Cons No chatting function during video-conferencing calls. There is also a bit of lag during screen sharing but I have yet to find a conferencing software than doesn't. The look and feel of the UI is great, very user-friendly and delightful. It’s cross platform, allows dialing-in from a regular phone and the quality of the call has always been outstanding in my experience. There isn't another conference service that provides a simple or consistent platform for small businesses. UberConference is really in a league of their own. Pros Having a dedicated number and pin that never changes means we can present a professional face to our clients and reduce issues with dialing in for conferences. The consistent information makes connecting simple and the web based client makes monitoring calls easy. Cons The default hold music is a little bit chintzy and is basically an advertisement for UberConference. Given that this is a free service, this is a minor inconvenience at best. We have many outside sales people and this is a way for them to connect with us in the office easily and quickly. Pros I like the ease of use with just a phone number. I also really enjoy the music/talking when you are the first person to join. It is humorous and pleasant. I do not mind being the first person to call in and actually prefer it. It is easy to set up a conference call as well. Cons I wish there was a better announcing system when someone joins the call. I don't recall introductions when someone joined the call and if they decide not to say anything, you'll never know they were there. Otherwise, it is an easy and useful product.
