Pros

I love that I can go back to a recorded call and find topics of conversation. makes it easy to pass calls on to other reps and great for training

Cons

This is probably an organization issue but I wish we divided our calls into folders - Demos, Discoveries, Purchase calls ect

My team previously used Salesloft Conversation Intelligence to record calls and track best practices, maintain transparency, etc. - but I like that Gong offers the ability to link emails and Salesforce activity in a single timeline view.

Pros

Intuitive user experience and accurate transcriptions. Stock keywords already pulled out of calls by Gong are relatively strong and the chronological view of communication is extremely helpful for managing the sales team from prospect to customer support.

Cons

The emails I get from Gong's marketing are a little out of touch in the sense that they are always sent at the strangest hours and on weekends. I'd prefer to not be bothered when I'm not at work and it's annoying to have my phone buzzing with something I don't need at 10pm on a Saturday.

Excellent. It has allowed me and my org become more customer centric. We can listen and engage in calls more effectively, we can revisit previous calls, and we can analyze what's working, what's not, how we can improve and makes it easy to share with others.

Pros

It allows me to be more engaged with my customers in conversations. Instead of spending time scribbling notes, I can have a conversation, and review later to add proper notes and allow me to revisit conversations before a call to add important context.

Cons

No real cons. It would be great if it could transpose notes for me from the call or an "executive summary" but I realize that's asking alot. Love it as is.

Gong allows me to revisit my own calls for clarity of conversation with my clients so I can always cover off the needs and requirements of the client. In addition I can use it to guide my team, myself and other members of the group

Cons

It doesn't always transcribe perfectly from my accent

Gong.io helps us to review calls and better follow-up with prospects. It's also great for training, identifying areas of improvement and managing sales teams.

Pros

The best part is that the solution seamlessly integrates with your existing apps and is super easy to use. All your calls are right there in the home dashboard and its very easy to find what you're looking for in calls. Overall great user experience and product.

Cons

The mobile app needs improvements, but overall not a big deal.

Super excited about really getting going. GONG

Pros

For the life of me, I don't know how I ever worked without this platform. ONE month in. Gong is a GAME CHANGER. If you are looking to scale up your team for success this is a tool that is a MUST have. It will save your team, literally, 100's of hours of time. Over the last month, I have started at a new company, leading a team, and this is single handle the best way to coach, give feedback, and develop a sales process. It was also an amazing tool for me to be trained and getting up to speed quickly. In my previous positions, if I had gong, I think that I would have been 30% more productive, and my team would have infinitely been more successful. Don't think about it, just try it, the only regret that you will ever have is not getting it earlier. Super intuitive platfrom and stellar customer service, and self-serve training programs.

Cons

The transcription isn't perfect but is works better than any other transcription I have ever used. It would be cool, if you could edit the transcription for library assets for training purposes

Seamless implementation, effective product. Not much more you can ask for.

Pros

We have only been using Gong for a few months but already we see that it's making a difference. We're not longer bending over backwards pulling data from other systems into google sheets to create coaching dashboards. Our Sales leaders have instant visibility into what's happening in real-time, and our marketing team is able to glean valuable and actionable insights to help us hone our marketing strategy. On top of that, their support team is top-notch. They're responsive, professional, organized and friendly. More than we can say for other partnerships.

Cons

I'm sure there will be some small thing that comes up but I have yet to find anything.

Pros

Gong is an intuitive platform that syncs seamlessly with our calendars and meeting software (Gsuite and Zoom). The ability to review calls to make sure I have all the details of an opportunity tracked has become absolutely essential to my process, and I love the AI breakdowns of interactivity, topics covered, etc.

Cons

Occasionally Gong will not automatically connect to the Zoom meeting, but luckily I can addd it manually on the fly

As a recruiter, having my manager review my phone calls allows her to offer me really great tips and feedback for a lot of the nuances of navigating conversations that are not very cookie-cutter by nature.

Pros

The playback quality is great, and I really like being able to see who's talking at what point in time which allows me to pick where in the conversation I want to fast forward or rewind too. The ability to listen at a faster speed is also great.

Cons

The NLP for the speech to text transcription needs work. I'm a Technical Recruiter which means there are a lot of software engineering specific lingo like programming languages and various acronyms that don't get picked up. It's obviously a niche market for a user, but it does make the transcript function a lot less usable for me. Also, the categories for the timeline such as "small talk" and "pricing" are all sales focused. Again, I'm a niche user base, but if there was a "recruiting" mode and categories specifically to that then it would be a lot more useful to me. Plus recruiting and HR profressionals should definitely be using Gong and could be a good market share.

I have had a great overall experience using gong!

Pros

Gong allows me to focus on my calls knowing that I can rely on the recordings for note taking. It's extremely beneficial to be able to share comments/feedback with my teammates. Additionally, I like to include demonstration recordings in my proposals to prospective clients which is always received well.

Cons

The search function to filter through call library doesn't always appear to work.

Pros

Apart from maybe Salesforce, Gong is the second most important tool in my stack as an AE. It's easy to use (almost no set up), allows me to listen to my calls and most importantly gives me the opportunity to use analytics to see how I can improve with every call.

Cons

I don't have any negative feedback as of now, the platform does exactly what we wanted it to do. I can see the future of gong being a virtual assistant to sales reps, that not only transcribes notes, but logs them for you and set's up tasks for you automatically in your CRM based on what it heard on the call.

My overall experience has been great it was increased my sales by 20% scheduling 3x more meetings and my pitch has become stronger.

Pros

I like the fact the calls get recorded and that it shows your speech pattern on the right hand side. It has made my pitch 3x stronger now I focus on the main things I want to get across in a more smooth transition.

Cons

As of right now I don't have anything I dislike about the software.

I believe that one of Gong's biggest selling points is actually the content they continue to put out!

Pros

Gong's software has really helped my sales career progress. I can focus more on asking great questions and listening rather than constantly having to write down notes. It also monitors words/phrases which has helped me tweak my mannerisms and filler words for the better. The transcript option is pretty good even if some words don't make it through.

Cons

The mobile app on an iPhone or iPad leaves a little to be desired. It doesn't auto-rotate which is unfortunate. Sometimes the recorder joins late or not at all but that may be a me error. Overall there are very few changes/gripes that I have for the software.

Gong has saved my skin more than once as it provides a safety net for me as a sales rep, that way I don't have to be taking notes during calls all the time - I can focus on what my prospects are saying and go back to listen to important parts of the call afterwards and structure my follow-up in that regard.

Pros

The ability to look at what other colleagues wrote to my customers The ability to listen back on important calls The ability to search by keywords within a recording Transcribed recordings

Cons

I don't think there are a lot of cons with this software. If anything maybe it has gotten too complex as they released more and more features.

Gong is allowing our team to learn from each other, which is especially helpful as we are located across the globe. Futher more its allowing for self reflection with all the data and analytics that come from each call.

Pros

I LOVE this tool for learning! The recordings are great so go and listen to again so you can pick up the little nuances that you didn't catch during your call. This makes your future calls way more effective. It's also great to learn from your co-workers and listen to their calls. Furthermore, the level of data and metrics that it gives on calls is amazing. I now know my filler words and have been able to actively work on removing them from my calls.

Cons

I don't like how it chimes in awkwardly during the call to announce that it is being recorded.

Gong has an incredible team that lives the thought leadership they espouse and is there to help whenever you need them. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Pros

Gong is critical for any sales, customer-success, or client-facing professional who wants to grow in their role. It also allows for extremely easy collaboration with peers and managers by being able to tag crucial moments in a conversation for coaching purposes and just helping to push that deal over the finish line. I don't know how I ever did my job without Gong.

Cons

I had an important call with a strategic customer get lost in the ether and was not able to recover it :(

Pros

Our entire sales organization uses this tool. It is essential in our tech stack. BDRs use it for training and to review discovery calls. Account executives and Account managers use it to review calls so that they can get a better understanding of what our prospects need.

Cons

Training and onboarding for the product can be difficult at first. This tool is more modern than other tools. I recommend reaching out to the support team. They would be more than happy to help. They provide great service.

Pros

I love how intuitive the software is on the back end. Their AI tech which records, analyses, and transcribes calls seems like magic. Gong makes it so easy to follow up with people and improve my calls Im not sure what I ever did without it

Cons

At times there are snags in usability. The problem with a software that can do as much as going is that it can be tough to organizer it all in a way that is super user friendly. Not a terrible problem to have, better than an easy to use UI that does nothing you want it to I guess!

I love being able to go back and listen to calls directly after a cal to send my wrap up and before my next call as a review. This is incredibly helpful for game planning and allows me to gain the intel that I missed during a demo.

It does only an ok job at knowing what words were used - but seems like this is being worked on

Pros

I like that it's fully integrated to Zoom and Gsuite. I can easily create conference calls within my Google Calendar, without needing to log into Gong.io. Once the call is over, I get an email with a list of action items written there. Makes my summaries to send to the client very accurate and quick. Further, it enables me to communicate key points to my team internally. There's super accurate transcription (even with my Aussie accent), neat analysis tools (e.g. what are your filler words) and suggestions.

Cons

Nothing to complain about in the slightest.
