Overall experience has been super. This has become a very valuable part of my day-to-day and how I grow in a customer facing role.

Pros

The ability to go back and listen to my calls, tag my highs and lows, learn what I did well and what needs improvement has been instrumental in my growth in my current role. It has also enabled me to better impress my roster of clients, as I can easily go back and brush up on our last conversation, reminding me of important tid bits.

Cons

There is not much I do not like. What you put in is definitely what you get out of it. You have to invest time in learning how to best use the features available and streamline what you are trying to get out of it.

Super easy to use, robust functionality for sharing calls/comments with other team members

Cons

While it's great that there are many ways to search within the tool, it takes a minute to make sure you're choosing the correct search option after typing in your keyword(s), instead of just a quick type and enter.

Overall great tool for learning & feedback

Pros

I love that I can go back and re-listen to a call where I may have forgotten details (even when I take notes I always miss little things). It's also been extremely valuable to listen to how other reps pitch & pick up new ways to pitch and demo, new ways to word things, etc. I can also pass my calls to peers for feedback, which I love. I've also occasionally sent a recording to customers, which I'm able to edit (only share certain parts), and make temporary (10 day access for example).

Cons

It can be difficult to filter for certain types of calls or certain people, and the mobile app isn't as intuitive as the web app

Fantastic, not only is the tool great, they share best practices and observations based on their aggregate data, and the content is incredibly helpful as well.

Pros

I LOVE Gong.io . Being able to review calls, check talk ratios, quickly skip to relevant topics, change speed, and leave comments for others... all of these features used to seem like a 'nice to have' now the are 'need to have' for success.

Cons

They changed some of the UI so that calls are on a timeline and not listed. I haven't been able to figure out how to change it back, and I really dislike the timeline.

Very positive. Gong is the first and most important tool for my CS teams. I can measure the impact to both my internal and external customers.

Pros

The ability to use metrics to deliver the value of my team. Gong is the first tool I implement with my CS teams. It provides parameters to monitor how my CS teams are engaging with customers. I can correlate the impact of Gong to my retention and expansion. I believe the ability to share calls with our internal teams has an impact on how CS can shape an organization.

At time is can be hard to find features.

Creating strong talk tracks and finding your own weaknesses on calls.

Pros

Listening to your own calls is a painful exercise, unless you're the ultimate narcissist, but Gong makes it much more enjoyable. The AI analytics that identifies different parts of the call is hugely important. In addition, being able to search through our company's call library for specific key words and phrases has proven to be extremely valuable to me.

Cons

The iPhone app doesn't show video and it crashes often. Not super reliable.

Value for money. It does the job, easy to use, it’s never down and without a doubt an invaluable asset to any sales organization.

Pros

Easy to use, links to your CRM, allows you to view call transcripts, easy to listen to other team members’ calls and share them

Cons

The transcript is hard to understand 90% of the time. Also you can only rate the call using their scorecard, you can’t really customize it. Also sometimes it’s hard to find a call if you used a conference line as opposed to dialing directing from the CRM.

Pros

Being remote and spread out, Gong makes it easy for our teams to cross collaborate and provide the best customer experience. For example, if Sales talks to a customer about a feature during and 6 months later they have questions for success, having the call in Gong makes it super simple to see what the customers needs are. Without having to go through a lengthy back and forth! Additionally, it makes it easy to pull customer testimonials out that happen on the fly.

Cons

It can be hard if a meeting is rescheduled or if the customer comes in late to get the notetaker back in the meeting.

It has been an excellent addition to our product management stack. Having the ability to connect with different systems for virtual calls it's really helpful. The UX of the product is great.

Pros

In our customer-centric approach listen to our customers it's religious. I really like the ability to quickly identify who is talking in the conversation, general areas and interact with my coworkers based on the findings for every call.

Cons

This is a great tool but kinda expensive compared with other similar tools. You should consider your budget first before making the decision. If you can afford it, it will pay the price.

Easy to use. Great for training new and tenured reps. Provides market insight for non-sales reps that we find very valuable. Has been instrumental in enabling us to continually optimize our messaging while at the same time ensure standardization across all reps. Daily triggered emails are strong.

Cons

You get out of it what you put into it. Simply buying and setting up gong will not deliver ROI. Would also like to see more Hubspot integrations - typically trails SFDC on their release schedule.

Saves a lot of time in having to search through SFDC and recordings etc. The transcript and AI also allows me to dip in and get a feel for what my remote team are doing. Listening to call recordings used to be a real pain, mainly due to all the work trying to find them, and make notes, share with team etc. I think the data collection is also very powerful.

Pros

I no longer have to search through SFDC to find relevant records and then search through recordings to find them. I also love the transcript, and tracking the movement of the accounts through the pipeline. The AI for sales coaching too is great.

Cons

Honestly, nothing I can think of that impacts my usage of the platform. Everything is pretty intuitive. There isn't really a workflow, that could be useful.

I have never used Gong in previous roles but as I was learning and ramping, it was a great tool to help get me going and once I was in the role, it was a great tool for reflecting and continuous learning.

Pros

The statistics tools that listen to your calls and score you in various different sales aspects. You're able to get a good idea of your call as well as rate your performance against your organization and see how top performers are achieving results.

Cons

The navigability of finding previous calls from certain accounts or sales reps.

Sales team was amazing ... and then the product delivered against a high expectation. CS team is the best I have encountered in a long time.

Pros

We were literally using humans to listen to calls and coach on effectiveness before gong. It was slow, expensive and didn't scale. Gong suddenly, like overnight, gave us a view into our customers that we never had before. I don't usually give reviews. I am a \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and really respect a transformational product that makes my life better and our revenue stronger. Gong is that for us.

Cons

I haven't found things I like least... though I can make up lots of feature requests, overall I am happy with the product and the roadmap of features we have seen added.

at first, I felt like big brother was watching, ie management listening in on what I am doing and everyone on the team was able to listen to my calls... I soon became a convert though

I like the features that come along with Gong like being able to view a transcript of the conversation rather than re-listening to the entire call. It's easy to navigate and saves us all a lot of time. The reporting and metrics it can track are really helpful as well.

Cons

Depending on how the calls are logged into the system it can be a little tricky to find some specific calls, especially if your name is not associated with them.
