Pros: The ability for an entire team to utilize it from a central hub. Keyword functionality mixed with the ability to text individuals and groups is excellent. The pricing for this service is more reasonable than the mass texting service we were previously using. The integration with Planning Center is helpful as PCO is our database system. Overall, this has been a very effective tool for our church, and we are looking forward to seeing how the continued updates to the software will make communication and organization that much better.

Cons: The software has many pros for our organization. A few areas where we have struggled are that the inbox does not tie the response to the original message. Also, with multiple users on the same account, we would like to be able to filter messages and responses by who from our team sent them. A greater ability to filter or tag messages and responses would help us organize things more effectively. Lastly, when sending a message, you have the ability to shorten a URL, however, that feature is not available when responding to a text from the inbox. These are features that we hope are in the works

Overall: Clearstream helps our Church communicate with volunteers, group leaders, and people that are looking to get more involved at NewSpring. The keyword functionality paired with mass and individual messaging has been very helpful.

Pros: Running a coffee truck I need to bypass HR and speak straight to potential buyers in office buildings and areas we visit. Social media is great but has very little organic reach, so, I set up customized keywords for places I visit often, letting my customers opt into places they want to be notified about and it's as simple as sending a text straight to their cell phone. Clearstream is fast, robust, and I do everything from my cell phone with their mobile app. Their support is almost instant so if I ever hit any roadblocks it's immediately taken care of. Seriously consider them for mass communication needs, I think you'll be very happy.

Overall: Instant communication and increased sales.

Have uses Clearstream for years; extremely useful

Pros: We use it's integration with planning center online--it is relatively easy to use and pull up unique lists of recipients.

Cons: Reply notifications go to every user in the system, rather than just to the original sender. Could also really use an Android app for some push notifications!

Also, we're just a couple weeks away from launching our Android app (finally!).

Pros: I love how easy it is to set up and send messages through the desktop or the app. Also, their customer service is very responsive.

Pros: I love the simplicity and ease of use. Everything feels intuitive, there is no need to dig deeply into an instruction manual. Just get out and do what you came to do... communicate with your people.

Pros: I love that it integrates with Planning Center Online and that the system is easy to use. The inbox is helpful for catching people that respond to our messages.

Cons: I don't like that you can't see who unsubscribes or what numbers bounce. This would be helpful information for us to strengthen our communication strategies.

Overall: It allows us to communicate quickly and effectively with our congregation in a manner that they are likely to see right away.

To address your issue with viewing opt-outs, you can do so by going to Subscribers > Export > select "Opted-out". This will give you an Excel file of all opt-outs/unsubscribes.

Pros: I switched to Clearstream because it integrated with planning center which made my life a lot easier. The price is also the best I have seen for the amount of messages I can send out per month. I also enjoy the fact that I have more characters per message and don't have to keep rewording things to get under the limit. I have enjoyed it.

Cons: The mobile app needs a little work I think. I am not able to select individual people to send a message to like I am on the online version. Other than that, I can't complain.

Pros: It's an easy-to-use product. Great website and accompanying app. Any time I've had a question, I've received a quick, detailed response. It's integrations for PCO have been extremely helpful as well.

Cons: It's a little more expensive than other options, but you get what you pay for. Other than that, there's not much to fault.

Very easy to use! Integration with Planning Center is what sold me!

Pros: I like how it integrates with Planning Center. It makes keeping up with church members and students very easy.

Cons: Not being able to take individual people off of lists. When sending texts and reminders to students, it is difficult if you need to take one student off the list for various reasons.

Hi Michael, thanks for the input! To address your issue: you can remove someone from a List by going to the List and selecting the person, then clicking "Delete" in the dropdown. But we could do a better job of making this more clear.

And as you know, if someone replies with any opt-out keyword (Stop, Cancel, Quit, End, Remove, etc) they are automatically unsubscribed as well.

Pros: I can use lists I have already created with information I have already collected! Before we had 12 people responsible for sending out 15+ messages a week. Now with a few clicks we can do it much faster with more time to connect. We are praying this increases our communication.

Cons: I've had to do a lot of trial and error. When someone opts out of my list I have to re-import the full list from Planning Center into Clearstream.

Our Planning Center integration automatically syncs every day. If someone opts-out, they of course won't be including in the sync going forward until they opt back in.

Pros: The fact that you can sync lists of people with PCO, create easy opt-ins and schedule messages efficiently.

Cons: The limitations of manually adding subscribers. I don't think there's much that can be done to improve that outside of carrier limitations.

Pros: The fastness of getting out information, the ability to schedule texts, being able to implement subscribers on my own

Cons: Having to sign on to the computer to send texts, id like to be able to schedule and send through my cell phone

Pros: I love the multiple scheduled auto response feature and that you can send multiple auto generated texts to the masses.

Overall: I can easily communicate with my congregation while putting very little work into trying to reach the masses of our church body. You all are doing an excellent job with this service. Keep up the good work!

Pros: - Texting is very easy.

- Mobile app is up to date, and does not lag.

- Grouping is a good function to have, if I only want to text a certain group I can select that.

- You can have multiple headers for different groups (Youth Group, Young Adults etc)

Cons: - For the amount paid, I believe there should be an unlimited amount of texts able to be sent.

- We should be able to manually enter in more than 10 people into the system.

- There is a character limit on the texts.

- Not easy to move, remove, or add people to different groups.

Hi Brianna! Thanks for the feedback, especially with being able to move or remove people from Lists. You can do this for any subscriber within a List (just go to a Subscriber, select them and click the dropdown button), but it could definitely be easier to get to.

Pros: Clearstream makes it easy for our non-technical team to import contacts and create messages to communicate to our audience.

Cons: Would love to see the ability to send MMS. Any plans to add this in the future would be greatly appreciated.

Pros: How easy is it to set up a keyword and how easy it is to integrate with Planning Center. We also enjoy the dashboard

Cons: The layout of the UI is not user friendly. The mobile apps could also use a little more attention.

Overall: It helps us communicate with various groups within our congregation. Email just isn't the most effective way to communicate anymore, but Clearstream helps us keep the lines of communication open.

Pros: It has a very easy user interface and easy to get started. I can sync list from Planning Center to my Clearstream account, making it easy to text a large audience I already have within my system.

Cons: I honestly don't have a complaint about Clearstream. Their prices are very fair compared to other platforms out there.

Overall: Making our communication to our congregation more effective.

Pros: It has increased our effectiveness as an organization in pushing out important information, at a price we can afford.

Cons: More options for workflow would be nice, but this service is meeting our needs currently and additional features are available for a small upgrade.

Overall: Saves a ton of time send out updates to our members.

Pros: I like the simplicity of the interface and overall ease of use. In very little time with no training, I was set up and using the service.

Cons: As an administrator, I could use more notifications. E.g. credit levels, message success/failing, click reports, reminders of scheduled messages, etc

Pros: Easy to use. It's the greatest advantage is the fact that it can integrate with Planning Center Online.

Cons: It was a little overwhelming getting started. Might be nice to have a more step by step explanation readily available for non-tech folks.

Pros: It is easy to use and makes communicating with your church very easy. I am able to send important messages out at any moment the need arises.

Cons: Having to renew your list to add new contacts. People get let off of list if I forget to update the lists.

Pros: I love this product, it has a simple but very intuitive interface.

It allows creating subscriber lists, scheduling messages and even managing the responses of subscribers.

Excellent for sending promotions and offer coupons.

Cons: There is nothing that I do not like about this program. It is designed in the most intuitive way possible. It works perfectly, it's exactly what I was looking for. I would love it to work for other countries besides the USA.

Overall: Excellent product, I highly recommend it. It has allowed us to send promotions to our clients and receive feedback through keywords

Pros: Simple, took me 10 minutes to train my teams. Worked out to be a great solution to our weekly routines

Cons: would love it to be able to text one person from PCO easily. other than that its great for us as it allows us to do most of what we need

You can definitely send messages to just one or a few subscribers instead of entire Lists. You would just search/select only those individuals, instead of a List ,when creating and sending a message.

Pros: Easy to use and functions smoothly! We also love that it integrates with planning center! The site is easy to use and customer service is easy to access.

Cons: Wish there was less of a price gap between plans. Don't like that once you opt people out there's no ability to add them easily without them using a shortcode. For a business, this makes sense, but not so much a church when we want to make it as easy for members as possible, and the need for more admin control (since there's no risk of spamming them). :)

It would be very helpful I I stayed logged in and I could send from my phone.

Pros: We loved the seamless integration with Planning Center. The app makes it very user friendly for our teams to adjust.

Cons: The cost is some what prohibitive as the over all usage in our teams is limited due to cost. So, we only use it for entire organization communications not team or are specific needs.

Easy platform to use and has been very effective at reaching our volunteers!

Pros: I like that I can track how many people it was delivered to and that it syncs with Planning Center automatically.

Cons: I don't like that we lose the messages we don't use at the end of the month. I wish that our messages rolled over into the next month.
