### "Powerful Texting for Churches"

Very positive. Our team picked up using it fast. And it seems like we've been more organized and less overwhelmed keeping up with text messages.

Pros

I just convinced my church leadership team to switch to . I had used it at my previous job (after researching all the options). When I moved to a new job, they were using a different platform. The reason, we made the switch was how customizable the notifications are for our team and how each number has a completely different inbox. On our previous texting provider, all the numbers were lumped into one inbox. And you always had to double check which number you were sending from. It also had wayyy too many steps to send a simple text message. It's made each number feel like that person's individual number and helped us keep up with communication. We love how easily clearstream integrates with Planning Center. We love being able to send notes, videos, and polls from the desktop site. Plus their customer support is TOP notch. They get back within 1-2 hours or less.

Cons

The mobile app doesn't have as much functionality as we would like. You have to use the desktop for anything other than a basic message. We would love to be able to record and send videos from the app - we send out birthday videos to each volunteer. And when you archive something, you can't access the conversation history of that person from the app. The other issue we've run into is some people (especially moms with teenagers serving) have the same number. associates 1 number with 1 name. And it seems random over whose name is chosen if there are multiple people with the same number. We are still working through this functionality.

The functionality was not what we needed with our current team. It was a little clunky and time consuming to manage 6 numbers. We did keep our Talk in Church subscription because their digital receptionist is perfect for our needs.

So far we haven't fully engaged with all the function and options. It has been working great as a communication tool for our teams.

Pros

Easy to use, simplified platform. I find it's easy to navigate, find what I need, and execute task. At this point it's only been to send group text, and we ordered custom Tap Tags.

Cons

Haven't had an issue yet, still a new user. We been slowly transitioning from older complicated platforms. We are still integrating.

I would have given it a 4 but it is not letting me do what I want to do. Which is to have open feedback from the members in one text. Also, you can't attach pics from your phone to the text group.

Pros

What I like most about is I am able to add all our members phone numbers to send one group message.

Cons

That members cannot text back to the group. When a text goes out from the administrator the members are not able to respond.

There won't be group threads where members all see each other's replies. We built it this way specifically to avoid the large group threads, but I can definitely see a need for that as well! Our team is working on adding picture messaging to our mobile app, so stay tuned!

### "Moved from another service, and glad I did"

It’s been great. There’s always a helpful person waiting to answer my questions, and they were invaluable in helping me through the startup process.

Pros

We replaced another service with . Our old service offered only mass-texting, but for the same price we were able to add a web presence and support for tap tags.

Cons

I don’t really like that the limited number of messaging credits expire and are replenished monthly. I’d rather get a fixed number of credits, and purchase more when I use them Up.

On two occasions, when I had a critical need to send a text out to the congregation, I signed in only to find my account disabled. Once was because the credit card had expired (even though no payment was due) and another was when they decided to do a features update, and decided the best way to implement it was to force everybody onto a new platform. It just seemed like they were really disconnected from the real needs of people using their system.

Our experience so far has been great. It seems you are adding new features like voicemail which will be great for us. Your service team has been exceptional with answering questions and follow up to make sure everything is going well. Great onboarding training as well. I highly recommend to any church!

It's ease of use & great customer service. It is designed for the church and makes communications easy and effective to our church family. It's also very cost effective.

Cons

It would be nice if you could embed a link into a word so that links don't take so many allowable characters. Also if notification for incoming messages could be sent to a designated person via text or email so that we know right away if a message comes in if we aren't in .

Being able to schedule both texts and emails. Also, live chat with customer service has made the onboarding with an exceptional experience.

I would like to be able to put an attachment with an email. We send quarterly reminders for business meeting and weekly newsletter by email.

Seemless transition from our previous platform. Great product for the value. Innovative tools and integrations.

Pros

We love that is created for what churches need! The tools and integrationsare wonderful! Having long messages, short codes, microsites, taps and email functionality all in one place is very convenient. The customer support articles, videos and chat have made our transition very easy!

Cons

We would like to update all subscriber information, instead of creating a new subscriber. Tracking the microsite clicks without having to create shortcodes for each link would be ideal. Also, being able to add icons for each microsite, without having to add emojis would be helpful. We would like to be able to assign inbix messages to users. Also, having all fonts and font colors available for emails would allow for consistent branding and visual interest. A bit more formatting opions for emails would also be useful.

When we first introduce the software to the team, they immediately fell in love with how easy it was to navigate and understand the product. We love the fact that it filters easily and connects well with PCO by pushing it back to update or create new profiles. We love it!

Pros

It provides a simple and effective process to get people connected to our church. The price point is good and gives us what we need for the size that we are and gives us the ability to have it grow with us. I also love that support is always there to help answer any minor to major questions/concerns that we may have.

Cons

The transfer wasn’t a smooth process as everything had to manually added. And as a portable church, we’d hope they’d have more options for tap tags functionality.

Awesome! It's been able to take our assimilation process and add another level that's been missing regarding automation and using texting as another means for communicating with our people.

Pros

I like the ability to automate follow-up systems for the church! It takes the hard work of remembering and setting reminders to run certain assimilation processes. I love being able to text members and guests not suing my personal number as well. It's also been nice to build out effective promo workflows for larger events.

There is a learning curve for those not working in systems and using that brain muscle all the time. Also, how you can't loop people through certain work-flows but we've found workarounds:)

My experience thus far has been overwhelmingly positive. Excellent price point and service for our church size (~ 350). We were pleased to be able to use to stay in touch with parents bringing their children to our VBS program.

Pros

The service and the trial period was easy to understand. Their staff was also very responsive to questions before we purchased the product. We were especially thankful for two things: 1) We did not have to inquire to our congregation about their phone carriers in order to begin using Clearstream--and could get started right away. 2) We could import lists of names and numbers. Additionally, the website so far has been very intuitive to use, and staff support has been excellent--very responsive.

Cons

So far I don't have a "like least" regarding the product.

Pros

So far, I find it very easy to use. I appreciate the format. It has really helped out church with communication, and since I am not of the youngest generation, a very easy user-friendly interface helps me a lot.

Cons

I was confused about the credits remaining and credits per text. It caused us an issue about two weeks ago. staff was awesome and helped us. But I would say, this should be clearer for all customers :)

over all Clear streams is a good app and I'm very happy I am using it. It's clean and versatile, and has great costumer service.

Pros

I love how your team is very professional and responds to the in app service incredibly quickly. What I use the app for most is texting my youth student's about pick ups and drop offs and I love how quick and seamless the texts are, it feels like I'm texting on my personal number.

Cons

their are two features Id like to be changed. One I'm ministering to low income students. These kids often changes phone numbers all the time, or don't have it. I am not able to change a subscribers Number, I need to make a new subscriber. This is probably something a little harder for ya'll to fix however. it seems like a foundation thing. something I would love that is probably easier to add, is a notes section for subscribers. Just an extra place to type by the name and last name area. It's good to know who is the parent of who (last names normally don't line up) and things like address.

I love it. It’s different from Text In Church, and in my experience, it works much better. Instead of having messages split into two or three parts because of character limits, you can simply purchase additional credits and send the entire message at once. This makes communication much clearer, more seamless, and far less confusing for everyone receiving the message.

Pros

I really like how this allows me to communicate with my entire youth group through one message. Instead of sending multiple texts or trying to track people down individually, I can share important information all at once and know that everyone is receiving the same message. This makes communication much more efficient and helps keep students, parents, and leaders on the same page. It saves time, reduces confusion, and makes it easier to keep our whole group connected and informed.

Cons

I wish there were an AI option that could help tailor a message to a specific character limit. Being able to adjust wording while staying within required character counts would make it much easier to communicate clearly and efficiently without having to manually trim or rewrite messages.

Our overall experience has been incredible. We have yet to be disappointed by any aspect of their service. I would absolutely recommend to a church of any size looking to enhance their communication.

Pros

Their customer service is incredible! Someone is always available to answer our questions. Additionally, in the 3 months since we subscribed to Cleartream, they have rolled out a small handful of enhancements to their already extensive services. They've made our communication systems as a church better and easiter. Absolutely worth the small monthly investment.

Cons

We are not fans of the fact that using subaccounts requires the use of unique phone numbers. We want to make it as easy as possible for our church to stay connected with the ministries/groups they are involved in, and we want the backend system to be simple for our staff/leaders to use. By only allowing subaccounts to exist with unique phone numbers, we are concerned about overwhelming our congregation with options. But by having all of our staff/leaders use our main account for their communications, we're concerned about muddying what should be a very simple communication system.

I wish the phone app had more functional features where I could try to resend a message that failed to send. Also, would love it if I could send e-mails from Cleastreatm

### "Thankful for Clearstream"

We are so thankful for a way to communicate with our volunteers and Church Family outside of Facebook.

Pros

Very easy to use! Key words are so helpful to add people to a subscriber list. The subscriber lists make weekly text communication with volunteers a breeze. I also love the NOTE feature on texts so I can give all the details for serving.

Cons

The only concern we've had is our messages going to people's spam. We know that this was an issue on our end and that in initial communication we should have alerted folks to the number in which it would be coming from. This has been resolved.

### "A must have for church communication. "

I am very happy with . They were recommended to me by another church plant and I can clearly see why! We will continue using this service for all our communication needs.

Pros

Their customer support is so very helpful! And being able to email and text from the same place is amazingly helpful! My people now get a weekly email and a text with a link to our email, they have said how helpful this has been!

Cons

It was difficult at first because I didn't realize it doesn't automatically sync up with Planning Center, but since I received help from the customer support, It links well with Planning Center and even allows people to text back.
