It does exactly what I expect it to, and Clearstream also exceeds those expectations! I use it as often as I need to send text blast to different groups and multiple groups.

Pros

The UI is very intuitive and the automatic help chat bubbles while I try to figure things out on my own is very helpful!

Cons

Nothing I can tell so far. External integrations are a bit complicated. Although I had a hard time on the external side, Clearstream offered no speed bumps or hindrances.

So far it’s been great, easy to use and there are so many features I need to start using like the tag words

Pros

“I love how easy it is to navigate and use all of its features. It’s also so well integrated with Planning Center, which makes connecting and communicating with our church members simple and effective.”

Cons

There’s not much I would see as a con, but if I had to pick one then it would be lack of some features the app has compared to the browser such as being able to send a note in a text from the app

Somewhat positive because the product provides a basic texting service that is designed to increase communication between the church and attendees.

Pros

It is another way to reach members and visitors. I prefer the capabilities to communicate back and forth with the person.

Cons

I cannot see the person's response to me and establish a two-way communication with them. Additionally, there are still some features that I do not know or understand how to use the feature if it is available.

Working with Clearstream has been a consistently great experience. From early conversations with \[sensitive content hidden\] to make a plan for transitioning to their platform, to working with the Clearstream team to set up texting services, to the follow-up to my many questions and the top-tier communications and support, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a text provider. I coordinate with a lot of vendors and services, and by my standards, Clearstream is one of the best companies I have worked with.

Pros

Clearstream is excellent. They have top customer support, a clear and effective website, well-designed user interfaces, transparency in their pricing structures, and simplicity to their services. Additionally, their best feature outside of texting services is their web chat communications that links with email and is easy to use. Communication with customers is clearly a priority for them.

Cons

If I had to pick something, I would like to have a few more options to customize texting reports through their platform, but what they have built out is sufficient.

Initially, the website had a clean user interface, the services were simple to understand, and the pricing structure was very transparent. I was able to find the information I was looking for very quickly. After reaching out, it was very quickly apparent that the company had great communications and customer support.

over all Clear streams is a good app and I'm very happy I am using it. It's clean and versatile, and has great costumer service.

Pros

I love how your team is very professional and responds to the in app service incredibly quickly. What I use the app for most is texting my youth student's about pick ups and drop offs and I love how quick and seamless the texts are, it feels like I'm texting on my personal number.

Cons

their are two features Id like to be changed. One I'm ministering to low income students. These kids often changes phone numbers all the time, or don't have it. I am not able to change a subscribers Number, I need to make a new subscriber. This is probably something a little harder for ya'll to fix however. it seems like a foundation thing. something I would love that is probably easier to add, is a notes section for subscribers. Just an extra place to type by the name and last name area. It's good to know who is the parent of who (last names normally don't line up) and things like address.

Pros

It's easy to use & organize the contacts we're following up with! I love that I can schedule texts! I also love the Dashboard area where I can see the feedback & statistics.

Cons

I wish the phone app had more functional features where I could try to resend a message that failed to send. Also, would love it if I could send e-mails from Cleastreatm

This has been a wonderful addition to our communication department. We are always looking for new ways to share church information and updates with our members while being good stewards of the resources God has provided.

Pros

Being able to schedule both texts and emails. Also, live chat with customer service has made the onboarding with Clearstream an exceptional experience.

Cons

I would like to be able to put an attachment with an email. We send quarterly reminders for business meeting and weekly newsletter by email.

Our experience so far has been great. It seems you are adding new features like voicemail which will be great for us. Your service team has been exceptional with answering questions and follow up to make sure everything is going well. Great onboarding training as well. I highly recommend to any church!

Pros

It's ease of use & great customer service. It is designed for the church and makes communications easy and effective to our church family. It's also very cost effective.

Cons

It would be nice if you could embed a link into a word so that links don't take so many allowable characters. Also if notification for incoming messages could be sent to a designated person via text or email so that we know right away if a message comes in if we aren't in Clearstream.

We are learning, but so far ClearStream is making our communication management much easier! The import tool makes contact management simple, and the scheduling saves us time typing the same message over and over!

Pros

Scheduling makes Church Admin so much easier! I can create a message to go out to everyone or only a selected few on a regular basis without having to type the same message out each time.

Cons

We are still learning how best to use the product, so there may be things I don't like simply because I haven't figured them out yet.

Our overall experience, from enrollment to implementation to active, has been a snap. It integrates very well with planning center allowing us to keep everything in one system and place and easily add new folks as they visit and to stay in touch with them as they get to know us. As a church plant this is a fantastic tool to get us started and going.

Pros

Clearstream is a fast and effective way for us to communicate with our people. Whether it is for last minute changes, welcoming new folks, or sending out prayer requests it can all be managed with just a few clicks. The ability to send out both text messages and email to the entire team to help with scheduling makes it an invaluable tool.

Cons

There is nothing that I can think of at the moment that gives me concern about this product. At our level the pricing is certainly reasonable and the system has so far been very reliable.

My overall experience has always been positive. Tech-support has always been attentive and knowledgeable. We oversee 13 sub accounts on top of our parent number. It can be a complex world to navigate, but we have had very few issues in training or understanding.

Pros

One of the many pros is that it is very volunteer friendly. We have a team of 20+ people who utilize two sub-accounts for a prayer ministry. The inbox can fill with conversations quickly… 100 conversations. One of the newest great features is you can see if someone else is responding to a message! Huge plus.

Cons

It’s hard to come up with something. I would say my least favorite feature at the moment it is the dark theme. The purple is a little hard on the eyes.

It has been fantastic working with Clearstream. After being put in charge of deciding on a text-service for our church, and reviewing multiple options, Clearstream stood (in my opinion) head and shoulders above the pack. With a modern, clean, and responsive UI, regular new updates and free features, and a world-class customer service, I have had no regrets or complaints working with them.

Pros

Their customer service is outstanding! They are quick to get back to you when you have any questions. One of the other features that I love about Clearstream is the ability to buy individual packs of credits which do not expire, and will rollover with you month to month.

Cons

The \*only\* con or issue I have with Clearstream is, what seems to me, to be an oversight on their Android/Google Play app. (I can't speak to iOS.) When using the Android app, you are unable to swap from your five-digit 'shortform code' number they provide you with, to your standard, ten-digit 'longform code' number. Example: (XXX) XXX-XXXX So when I am away from my computer, and I need to send a text from our ten-digit number line, I have to open Clearstream on my mobile browser, go into browser settings, select 'Use Desktop Site' and THEN send the text, verus simply being able to use their app as usual.

Awesome! It's been able to take our assimilation process and add another level that's been missing regarding automation and using texting as another means for communicating with our people.

Pros

I like the ability to automate follow-up systems for the church! It takes the hard work of remembering and setting reminders to run certain assimilation processes. I love being able to text members and guests not suing my personal number as well. It's also been nice to build out effective promo workflows for larger events.

Cons

There is a learning curve for those not working in systems and using that brain muscle all the time. Also, how you can't loop people through certain work-flows but we've found workarounds:)

It has been fantastic. The platform is rock solid, intuitive, easily accessible via web and app, and connects with all the tools we need such as Planning Center and Zapier.

Pros

Clearstream makes effective communication incredibly easy. We can communicate to mass groups or one-on-one, all with information and lists synced automatically from our church database. There are great tools to create workflows, advanced auto-responses to keywords, and polls. Polls have been a huge hit, allowing us to build interactive sermons with real time voting on topics.

Cons

They added an AMAZING email feature. However, we can’t use it for critical communication yet because my understanding is contacts only import to Clearstream if they have a valid phone number attached.

I am very satisfied with Clearstream and this platform does exactly what we need it to do. Overall, we love it.

Pros

Clearstream was very user friendly. And the customer support is excellent. The platform is very easy to understand and use.

Cons

I think the only thing I could say here is that I wish all the functions in the platform when using an iPad or desktop were available in the app. But maybe they are and I’m just not using it correctly.

Overall I use it for this current ministry and would use it where God put me next. Unless a cheaper option was available.

Pros

The functionality of Clearstream is great. I like the iOS app and the ability to sync with planning center. I just use the simple features but it's good to know that you can get in-depth reports for more growth. Also the ability to add users and delegate to volunteers is nice.

Cons

I dislike how there is no standalone iPadOS app. I use my iPad a lot for work and have recently moved away from a smart phone. It's usable just not at nice.

Best church texting service I've used by far. The design is beautiful and intuitive, whether it's on computer or iOS. The team is responsive and kind, and I love seeing updates and innovation. It lets me know that great things are ahead!

Pros

The Planning Center integration is outstanding. It's so easy to sync and create lists that expedite communication to different groups.

Cons

I wish there was some integration with Realm, which is the church database service our church currently uses. For sub ministries, Planning Center integration is sufficient.

We are so thankful for a way to communicate with our volunteers and Church Family outside of Facebook.

Pros

Very easy to use! Key words are so helpful to add people to a subscriber list. The subscriber lists make weekly text communication with volunteers a breeze. I also love the NOTE feature on texts so I can give all the details for serving.

Cons

The only concern we've had is our messages going to people's spam. We know that this was an issue on our end and that in initial communication we should have alerted folks to the number in which it would be coming from. This has been resolved.

Pros

I appreciate the value of being able to both email and text from a single, unified platform. One of the features I especially enjoy is the ability to send texts from my existing personal business number. What I like least about Clearstream: The inability for unused credits to roll over into the next month’s cycle. As a ministry, our communication needs often fluctuate, and having the option to carry over unused credits would add flexibility and maximize the value of the service. A rollover feature—even with a cap or limited window—would be a welcomed improvement.
