Excellent. My church's boys club uses to schedule parent communication via both email and text messages.

Pros

The ability to send blast text (SMS) messages, in particular the ability to scheduled them ahead of time! This is very, very valuable, as SMS has a much higher read rate than email.

Cons

Dealing with false optouts is a little clunky. Emails who optout can resubscribe, but only by opening a past email. There should be a way to send an email so somebody can resubscribe.

It’s been great. There’s always a helpful person waiting to answer my questions, and they were invaluable in helping me through the startup process.

Pros

We replaced another service with . Our old service offered only mass-texting, but for the same price we were able to add a web presence and support for tap tags.

Cons

I don’t really like that the limited number of messaging credits expire and are replenished monthly. I’d rather get a fixed number of credits, and purchase more when I use them Up.

On two occasions, when I had a critical need to send a text out to the congregation, I signed in only to find my account disabled. Once was because the credit card had expired (even though no payment was due) and another was when they decided to do a features update, and decided the best way to implement it was to force everybody onto a new platform. It just seemed like they were really disconnected from the real needs of people using their system.

Working with has been a consistently great experience. From early conversations with \[sensitive content hidden\] to make a plan for transitioning to their platform, to working with the Clearstream team to set up texting services, to the follow-up to my many questions and the top-tier communications and support, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a text provider. I coordinate with a lot of vendors and services, and by my standards, Clearstream is one of the best companies I have worked with.

Pros

is excellent. They have top customer support, a clear and effective website, well-designed user interfaces, transparency in their pricing structures, and simplicity to their services. Additionally, their best feature outside of texting services is their web chat communications that links with email and is easy to use. Communication with customers is clearly a priority for them.

Cons

If I had to pick something, I would like to have a few more options to customize texting reports through their platform, but what they have built out is sufficient.

Initially, the website had a clean user interface, the services were simple to understand, and the pricing structure was very transparent. I was able to find the information I was looking for very quickly. After reaching out, it was very quickly apparent that the company had great communications and customer support.

has been phenomenal. Great features, great customer service, and high quality products. Very grateful to have this company for our communication needs!

Pros

has made mass communication incredibly easy for our church. The monthly cost is affordable and gives us access to all the tools we need. We absolute love the tap tags as well! Data tracking was an issue for us, but Clearstream’s data tracking has given us such helpful information about our communication processes. Specifically, the mass email feature and its link tracking, unsubscribed report, etc. Data tracking is SO convenient.

Cons

The pricing breakdown of text credits was not the most upfront. We were excited to use images, links, emojis, etc for our mass texts, but the cost to include those things in a mass message was more than we expected. Still a great option to have. If a chart is not already published somewhere, that would be a helpful addition to the price breakdown.

Seemless transition from our previous platform. Great product for the value. Innovative tools and integrations.

Pros

We love that is created for what churches need! The tools and integrationsare wonderful! Having long messages, short codes, microsites, taps and email functionality all in one place is very convenient. The customer support articles, videos and chat have made our transition very easy!

Cons

We would like to update all subscriber information, instead of creating a new subscriber. Tracking the microsite clicks without having to create shortcodes for each link would be ideal. Also, being able to add icons for each microsite, without having to add emojis would be helpful. We would like to be able to assign inbix messages to users. Also, having all fonts and font colors available for emails would allow for consistent branding and visual interest. A bit more formatting opions for emails would also be useful.

AWESOME! So grateful for the tools. Value for the cost is a no-brainer. Setup was easy and I love the image and video options in the texting tool.

Pros

has made communication with our church congregation SO EASY! But it also has DEEPENED our connection with our church family as they are able to hear from our pastoral team more regularly and they feel like they have better access to us which is awesome!!

Cons

Integration with planning center has not been great. We add new members to the “People” section in planning center and oftentimes they do not port over to when we update the integration.

is currently meeting the need of our prayer chain at church. We often have messages for prayer requests and then we can post updates as well. I would like to expand the usage from just our prayer chain to other ministries but we have been using it for 3 months and each month I have had to change my plan to the next level due to my usage. I will have to see how we do over the next few months as the next level is a significant jump in cost. I am still evaluating. Overall I am satisfied with the product but want to be a good steward of the church financial resources.

Pros

Easy of use. Customer support has been awesome and adding members is very simple. Even upgrading my plan as the need arises has been simple.

Cons

The small number of characters allowed in a text. We use as a prayer chain and it is often difficult to get the message in one text and uses additional credits if you go over just by one character. Cost is also a factor since I came from a free product, however the cost is not prohibitive at this point. I have had to upgrade the plan each month and hopeful that we have found the correct plan for our use now. I am not sure about adding other ministries due to the additional cost of communicating in this way. I am still in the evaluating process.

We use it for daily emails and text to our church. Each ministry uses it to stay in touch with notifications about upcoming events and needs. Our old contact management system was failing because not everyone was receiving the texts and emails that we sent out.

Pros

It is easy to set up and use. When we started using , we were connected to our whole church within minutes and were able to send text and emails to everyone. It is far easier to use than any other contact management system that we tried, including MailChimp and others.

Cons

I cannot think of anything. The system has met every one of our needs and we were able to start using it the same day that we loaded our contacts into the system.

My overall experience has been great—I truly love the system! It’s been incredibly helpful in streamlining communication and keeping everything organized in one place. The features are user-friendly, and once everything is set up, it really allows things to run smoothly and efficiently.

What I truly appreciate about is the ability to build out structured workflows that allow communication to flow seamlessly and automatically. Instead of having to manually send out messages or follow up with individuals one by one, I can set up a system where the right information is delivered at the right time without constant oversight.

Cons

While I really appreciate the ability to create workflows and automate communication in , it wasn’t as customizable as I initially expected. I was hoping for more flexibility in how workflows could be structured and tailored to fit specific needs, but I found some limitations in the customization options.

### "Effective and worthwhile"

I've tried many other softwares in order to help me with text communications and CCB has been by far the most effective for the cost. The number of sub-accounts that you get for the price is much better than other companies and my church will be moving towards a much larger usage.

Pros

It's user friendly, has drastically improved my follow-up with new guests, increased my ability to communicate with leaders, and overall made my work much easier. The software that you get for the price is better than many other systems.

Cons

I wish that the option to include short links was integrated into the messaging system so I didn't have to go to settings to find them. I would also like a better way to move profiles from into CCB.

### "Clearstream review"

I love it. It’s different from Text In Church, and in my experience, it works much better. Instead of having messages split into two or three parts because of character limits, you can simply purchase additional credits and send the entire message at once. This makes communication much clearer, more seamless, and far less confusing for everyone receiving the message.

Pros

I really like how this allows me to communicate with my entire youth group through one message. Instead of sending multiple texts or trying to track people down individually, I can share important information all at once and know that everyone is receiving the same message. This makes communication much more efficient and helps keep students, parents, and leaders on the same page. It saves time, reduces confusion, and makes it easier to keep our whole group connected and informed.

Cons

I wish there were an AI option that could help tailor a message to a specific character limit. Being able to adjust wording while staying within required character counts would make it much easier to communicate clearly and efficiently without having to manually trim or rewrite messages.

Safe. Reliable. Quick. Simple. These are the main areas we need to assure this platform was a good fit for us. check all of those boxes and more.

Pros

The reliability that A) our messages would be delivered B) when people text us back, we are immediately notified so nothing falls through the cracks.

Some months there doesn’t seem to be enough credits for us. We only budgeted the cost per month and cannot afford to add additional credits.

Our overall experience has been incredible. We have yet to be disappointed by any aspect of their service. I would absolutely recommend to a church of any size looking to enhance their communication.

Pros

Their customer service is incredible! Someone is always available to answer our questions. Additionally, in the 3 months since we subscribed to Cleartream, they have rolled out a small handful of enhancements to their already extensive services. They've made our communication systems as a church better and easiter. Absolutely worth the small monthly investment.

Cons

We are not fans of the fact that using subaccounts requires the use of unique phone numbers. We want to make it as easy as possible for our church to stay connected with the ministries/groups they are involved in, and we want the backend system to be simple for our staff/leaders to use. By only allowing subaccounts to exist with unique phone numbers, we are concerned about overwhelming our congregation with options. But by having all of our staff/leaders use our main account for their communications, we're concerned about muddying what should be a very simple communication system.

Our overall experience, from enrollment to implementation to active, has been a snap. It integrates very well with planning center allowing us to keep everything in one system and place and easily add new folks as they visit and to stay in touch with them as they get to know us. As a church plant this is a fantastic tool to get us started and going.

Pros

is a fast and effective way for us to communicate with our people. Whether it is for last minute changes, welcoming new folks, or sending out prayer requests it can all be managed with just a few clicks. The ability to send out both text messages and email to the entire team to help with scheduling makes it an invaluable tool.

Cons

There is nothing that I can think of at the moment that gives me concern about this product. At our level the pricing is certainly reasonable and the system has so far been very reliable.

My overall experience has always been positive. Tech-support has always been attentive and knowledgeable. We oversee 13 sub accounts on top of our parent number. It can be a complex world to navigate, but we have had very few issues in training or understanding.

Pros

One of the many pros is that it is very volunteer friendly. We have a team of 20+ people who utilize two sub-accounts for a prayer ministry. The inbox can fill with conversations quickly… 100 conversations. One of the newest great features is you can see if someone else is responding to a message! Huge plus.

Cons

It’s hard to come up with something. I would say my least favorite feature at the moment it is the dark theme. The purple is a little hard on the eyes.

It has been fantastic working with . After being put in charge of deciding on a text-service for our church, and reviewing multiple options, Clearstream stood (in my opinion) head and shoulders above the pack. With a modern, clean, and responsive UI, regular new updates and free features, and a world-class customer service, I have had no regrets or complaints working with them.

Pros

Their customer service is outstanding! They are quick to get back to you when you have any questions. One of the other features that I love about is the ability to buy individual packs of credits which do not expire, and will rollover with you month to month.

Cons

The \*only\* con or issue I have with is, what seems to me, to be an oversight on their Android/Google Play app. (I can't speak to iOS.) When using the Android app, you are unable to swap from your five-digit 'shortform code' number they provide you with, to your standard, ten-digit 'longform code' number. Example: (XXX) XXX-XXXX So when I am away from my computer, and I need to send a text from our ten-digit number line, I have to open Clearstream on my mobile browser, go into browser settings, select 'Use Desktop Site' and THEN send the text, verus simply being able to use their app as usual.

Overall we came to from a competing platform & we are so grateful we made the switch. We’ve been able to reach more people on our church and create customizable follow up experiences.

Pros

Things we like most about is the customer service, user friendly platform, & seeing where each subscriber belongs to in a workflow, list, or tag.

Cons

Something we’ve experienced with a competitor that we wish we could have in is the automatic removal of subscriber in workflow once they have been removed from its list.

Very positive! Customer service is prompt and helpful! I have recommended to several people, including other ministries

Pros

The overall clarity and ease of use. Very smooth and actually enjoyable to use. The plan pricing is clear.

Cons

The expense to grow the reach of our single use daily devotional. Totally understand the costs of doing business, however there could be some flexibility to the credit plan pricing when the additional sub accounts and other features aren't being used.

Enjoy the software! I'm still getting to know it but so far - so good! Having lists for different ministries is amazing!

Pros

The ease of use of the software - especially the desktop site. Everything I need is right there! Names & numbers - lists & lists!

Cons

I wish the app was able to do a little bit more. The app is fairly limited as far as things I can do - but it does work exceptionally well!

has been incredibly easy to use. When I have had issues, they were able to answer my questions and provide solutions in a very timely manner. Highly recommend this service

Pros

The app is easy to use. Love the personalization capabilities. People being able to individually reply to messages is a big plus as well

Cons

Having to choose your own phone number to text from instead of being able to set it up as the existing phone number for the church

We usually can set up your existing church number to send texts through Clearstream. Not all phone numbers are able to do that, but most landlines are.
