August 29, 2022 3.0 The customer service has been good. When I have an issue, I get a pretty prompt response. Overall I'm satisfied with the product in that it mostly fills my needs. I'm definitely still going through some growing pains so I'm not sure how I'll feel about things in a few months. Pros I like that you can integrate videos, stills, and background music. You can set an expiration date on graphics so I've used this to promote events and then have the graphic expire after the event has happened. You can create playlists and organize in a number of manners which is nice and you can easily integrate videos from YouTube. Cons The preview function doesn't work for me which is a big deal as I'm remote. Videos embedded from YouTube do not show subtitles. In a waiting room setting where volume can be an issue, this is problematic. The integration with social media is confusing. It only pulls from Instagram (and maybe Twitter), doesn't happen in real-time, and can be clunky. I've also found the admin user interface to be challenging to navigate but that could just be me! We are able to put announcements on UPshow that everyone will see instead of relying on word of mouth to get information out. It has helped retain employees because it makes them feel engaged/informed because they can learn about their store family especially alternate shifts/other day parts. They enjoy being able to see their birthday/service anniversaries. It is very user friendly. Pros It allows stores to have competitions with each other, it is nice to see their progress in real time at all of our different locations, it makes the employees want to work harder. Also, it is good for employee engagement, allowing them to give shoutouts to fellow employees and creating employee bios, so their coworkers can get to know them. Finally, the customer service is amazing! Cons When we click to preview what is showing at one of our locations, it takes awhile to go through all the slides, it would be nice if we could just arrow/skip through the slides quickly. UpShow is very easy to work with with entertaining content that is relevant to viewers with local options. Pros What I like most about UpShow is controlling our messages in clinics, the ease of updating our screens, its interactivity with Canva, being able to have a Dashboard and even view my playlist in action without having to be in clincis and tracking content in real-time. Very efficient. The entertainment and background music options are excellent, too. Cons Nothing. I adore this system. My only critique is not being able to "hear" the audio on my viewing screen at the office -- but I am glad I can view them which is something I was not able to do with our previous system. Our customers absolutely love seeing themselves on our tvs and it really adds to their experience. It's so easy to use from an administrative standpoint. I can quickly add spotlights to our our locations without taking too much time out of my day. Cons We've had a few issues with the software not working correctly. Typically the device gets replaced right away so it's not a big deal. I haven't been able to fully use the connected commerce tool yet because of the way our social media accounts are set up, but I'm looking forward to using that tool. Review Source Kent T. I love that I can schedule Marketing Screens so that they expire after the event has run. I wish all of our systems were this seamless. Cons This is a double edge sword, but while I love how easy UPshow is to use, there are times that I would like to curate how frequently (and which of) my screens appear. If I would make a suggestion I'd add giving the main admin access to add and control user access level so I don't have to always bother the upshow team with management changes. There have been problems, but they are quick to reply and resolve the issues. I would definitely recommend working with them. Pros The interface is easy to create new Spotlights on the fly. And able to make your own ads and upload them and even links to Youtube videos. I like that the hashtags for the location are easy to put into social media when posting and even afterward and they still will show up on the TV screens. Cons There are some limitations on using the interface on an iPhone or iPad. Usually it's easier to create your ads on a laptop and then make subtle changes or scheduling if needed later on an iPad. Reason for choosing UPshow While Clickspace is more powerful, it's also more confusing and definitely not for making quick ads for a restaurant or bar manager. The social media integration requires very little effort, too, which was a plus for my clients. It is fun to put together the content and see it up in action. Our loan officers utilize their social platforms a lot, and #GR all the time, so we have a TON of company social posts that pop up. Helps to connect all GR communities. Also, my contacts at Upshow have been great and very responsive. Pros \- It is a unique alternative for internal communication - The software is very easy to pick up on, and can be self taught. - Great mix of entertainment and the social posts to break up the company content - love that you can create trackable QR codes straight from the Cons \- Could be easier to track those QR code scans. The insights tab is not that easy to figure out - Having an easier/more convenient way to duplicate, and re-organize slide posts would be super helpful. Currently you have to be on the "all" tab in order to change up the order of the presentation, so you have to move the slides over ALL slides created ( archived and disabled). Would love to be able to do that on the "Now Playing" tab. - Would like there to be more control of what comes through the entertainment channels. Some videos are WAY too long, and also some of them have commercials. Pros I like that I can display our offerings in a minute. I can change and keep our members updated in real time without waiting for other people or programs to be downloaded. Speed is great! The ability to switch on the fly helps us promote in real-time. With this information, our team is able to easily conclude that through UpShow we reach more people per dollar spent than any other advertising outlet, 3 millions impressions and counting! Cons Content screening has been a challenge at times . Monitoring the content and making sure that only relevant material appears becomes a daily chore. Cons Military timing AND on Chicago time makes it challenging to use the scheduling features. Pros The ability to customize so much, to set certain date/time limits. The website is very easy to navigate and is simplistic but also offers a wide variety of options. The ability to link with Instagram is also a nice feature. Cons I wish that the text options that overlay the pictures were more diverse. Sometimes I need to pick a different color so that it would show up better and I am unable to do so. Having a variation in fonts would also be nice. We have gotten a great response from our Team Members about UPshow. They have more access to company information, significant milestones, and much more.
