Newest 2.0 client allows for SSO which is great for our users Cons User-based installations. Since this software installs on a per-user basis it makes it impossible for our Helpdesk to install when users are not present. There might be instructions for bypassing this but I'm not aware. December 13, 2017 5.0 Pros The versatility it provides in handling many different file types , email, encryption/decryption options, etc. needs. It's also nice that it runs on different platforms, as we have it deployed on more than one operating system. Cons The reporting functionality is pretty minimal in the base product. The support portal is limited in that it doesn't allow customers to update a case from the portal once it has been submitted. And once you get everything set up & running, it's easy. Interface is pretty intuitive. I like the job logs. Cons Personally I found creating the "projects" very challenging. I don't know how it could be made easier for me. It just doesn't fit my skills & knowledge. But you can pay support to help you, prices are reasonable, and they will work hard for you. Used the software for: ### "Positive Experience" March 23, 2017 4.0 We were seeking an iSeries based software solution for data exchanges with a few of our clients, some of whom required Secure FTP connections. Not only did GoAnywhere MFT satisfy those requirements, functionally it exceeded our expectations. It is relatively easy to setup and use, and it's ability to monitor for new data availability has proven invaluable. The built in help features are extensive and easy to navigate. When we needed additional help their customer support services were quick to respond and quickly answered our questions. I highly recommend this software. May 24, 2017 5.0 Pros The product is extremely customizable and can tailor to just about every need possible. It can deal with a variety of uses, from secure file transfer to HTTP/HTTPS sessions. Cons Setting up projects can be a bit difficult and may require support assistance. Also, forms need the ability to add multiple upload sections and/or different file types in one session. Used the software for: ### "One Stop MFT" March 23, 2017 4.0 GoAnywhere MFT is a great product. We started using it in our PCI environment. We liked the ease of use and features so we decided to use it as our MFT for the entire company. Linoma continues to add relevant features and improve the software. One of the best features of the product is the customer service. They are very helpful and responsive to their customers inquiries, I find this as an invaluable feature of any product. If you are searching for an MFT product, I would highly recommend that you download a trial version of GoAnywhere MFT and give it a try. That it integrates with Active Directory. Cons The installation process is not easy to deploy in a remote user environment and since it's a per user install and not a per machine install it increases the deployment process greatly. What we were using was an FTP server that only sometimes worked and was only accessible by a network engineer. I was aware of Linoma Software because we had their Surveyor/400 product. I spoke withCustomer support representative at a conference about Goanywhere Director. We used Goanywhere Director so extensively that it only made sense to upgrade to MFT. The new features such as drag and drop were easy to use without any additional training. As with any of the Linoma products, MFT support is quick and efficient. Despite being a product that i did not consider initially I was surprised when performing the concept tests. I've only found two little problems: - Do not have local technical service in Spain and we have to work with intermediaries. - Product updates go through a new installation of the new version. I have not really run into any issues while using this product so far. We have had a few users that were having issues with the outlook plugin but was able to fix pretty easy Pros This product is very easy to use and get going with.
