“Mixed feelings”

OverallI have been using, or should I say paying, for Contactually for the past year. I was looking for a CRM that would keep my contacts organized and in one place, and one which would help me follow-up with leads and prospects. Initially, Contactually seemed like the CRM for me. I loved the Outlook plug-in and the social intergrations. However, things started to go sideways quickly. Some of my contacts started syncing incorrectly with Facebook contacts--merging completely different people into one. Contacts that I deleted (repeatedly) were re-appearing with outdated info. Support was quick to respond, but they couldn't provide an answer, or a solution. They blamed Facebook and essentially said there was nothing more that they could do. I eventually had to un-link my Facebook account. About three weeks later, they contacted me to say that they had discovered a bug and that it should be fixed. Some time after that, they discontinued integration with Facebook. The next issue I had was the Outlook plug-in started malfunctioning. I would get error messages when sending email. Again, Support was quick to respond, however they couldn't locate the source of the problem. To be honest, I've never explored the marketing aspects of Contactually--the ability to set up automated email programs etc. I think I knew I wouldn't stick with the system long-term so I didn't bother to set anything up. I've been searching for another (cheaper) CRM for the past month.
ProsI love the clean interface. Support was always very responsive, if somewhat limited in their ability to provide answers. As far as relationship management, the system does a good job of prompting you to contact people you haven't interacted with in a while. It also gives you a letter grade every week to let you know how you're doing, which is fun and motivating. There are lots of free webinars offered on how to use Contactually and how to improve your business. The Outlook plug-in is great (when it works). I have colleagues who love and swear by Contactually.
ConsFor me, the cost is too much for a system that I am not using to its full potential. In the process of trying to find another CRM, I've encountered plenty alternatives at less than 1/3 the cost. The inability of Support to identify and solve problems I had with the system is also a con. The only Social integrations are Twitter and Linked In, so the benefits of those to me are slim. The bottom line is that I would probably stick with Contactually if the price was right--and for me that means no more than $10/month.

“Contactually does everything right!”

OverallOverall, this CRM lives up to its reputation. It isn't cheap but I've seen more expensive systems that actually suck. If you have it in the budget and also want a CRM that has vast capabilities and marketing -- this is your CRM.
ProsThis system is very user friendly. I picked it up within only a few days. Customization is vast but made so its not overwhelming. It is designed so well and is so amazingly intuitive it is super easy to use and makes you like using the system. The template library is huge but structured very well so it's not daunting. The templates also feel more personal and not a cookie-cutter mass email. The Bucked game is fantastic for getting those who drag their feet about categorizing need clients. Overall, this software is the bees-knees!
ConsThere are very few cons I found to the system. The largest one for my company is the reporting. It has basic reporting capabilities but we need a more robust reporting system to track all types of income from deals, especially the ability to see monthly revenue, total sale and the commission from this, lost $, etc... They are working on getting more reporting capabilities but doesn't help in the present. Another con-ish thing is a pro and a con. It syncs SUPER well with systems, especially with Gmail--- almost too well. We get so many mass-emails about other agent's open houses and it pulls all these people into the CRM. While it's handy, it can be frustrating at times. I wish there was a plug-in for multiple email platforms where you could choose email you want to link (or unlink) to the system. And finally, this one isn't really a big con for us but could be for those on a limited budget, the price isn't cheap; however, in my experience--- you get what you pay for. I'd say for us, Contactually is TOTALLY worth every penny.

“Great value CRM”

OverallI found Contactually as I upgraded my business's ATS. This is the perfect compliment, it ties in with Google email so anything I do in one system, shows up in the other. I've been looking for years and this is the first one that appealed to me for the features and the price.
ProsEase of use, love the Contactually Chrome Addon that allows me to save articles for forwarding. I appears very personal when sending these to clients; the response rate was through the roof compared to regular emails.
ConsI was disappointed by the 100% lack of follow through from the sales rep. Additionally, because I did the 30day trial using my old Gmail address, it is a mess to this day. Plus, for some reason, clients were duplicated and they still have not been able to fix it. So, use your account you'll be using from day one or do not do the trial.
Recommendations to other buyersOnly use the same email address and account for the trial as you will be using if you purchase it. My clients and accounts were duplicated and it's difficult and time-consuming to clean up. The sales rep should have cautioned me to hold back setting everything up until I had the correct email address.

“Excellent CRM for Personal and Small Project Work”

ProsContractually does all the basic things right - managing contacts, tagging them, emailing, tracking interactions, integrating with other apps effortlessly. For me as someone who uses a personal CRM system for my own strategic network, it is exactly what i need.
ConsI use an iPhone, and the iOS app does not automatically sync my phone calls to contractually, so I need to add them manually. same for whatsapp. this is of course no fault of contactually but a limitation of ios and whatsapp being closed gardens and inaccessible. but that's the one thing that make my life harder as a user.

“Amazing customer management software”

OverallIncreased customer follow and retention.
ProsThe simplicity of the entire system is profound. It's an extremely easy to use platform with a robust list of features to keep track of your relationships. Their concept of buckets is great and the email marketing automation is great.
ConsWhen I used this software, it was largely geared towards the real estate world. It is easy to customize however, there are some features that other CRMs do a little bit better from the customer management perspective. When I stopped using the software, email automation that was created prior continued to go out for almost a year after I had left the company and cancelled my account with them. It is an expensive piece of software, but if it helps you land one more deal - it's well worth the money.

“Read THIS before using that”

OverallThe software is very user friendly and stores everything you would ever want in one tidy place but it does not accurately store the data. It has deleted contacts, merged unrelated contacts and added incorrect info to contact profiles, rendering it more dangerous than helpful. I have used CRMs for decades and this was the best product I have ever used before it started corrupting all of the data in it.
ProsContactually is super smooth and easy to use. It will store everything you need and do everything you would want a CRM to do and more. I tried thousands of products before moving to this one about 3 years ago. It is user friendly and pretty, but read the HUGE con below before choosing it.
ConsWhile I think Contacually is the best CRM I have found to date and it will do everything you want, it has now mixed up all of my data. It has merged unrelated contact together, deleted contacts, added job titles and profiles to contact that don't belong to them. I am a HEAVY CRM user and now I can't trust the data I put into Contactually because the phone number I dial may or may not belong to the person Contactually has associated it with and may of my notes on interactions with people have just disappeared. BE VERY WARY of this product. I have lost decades of data on over 20,000 contacts because this software shuffled and deleted my data. With all of its flash and function, it did me far more harm than good because I will never be able to get the missing data back nor straighten out who is really who.

“Contactually continues to improve and expand the value they bring to their Real Estate CRM”

OverallContactually helps me keep on top of my contacts, relationships and follow ups. I love how user friendly and aesthetically pleasing and simple the website and app as well as the functionality are.
Prosthe real time linking with your email to show you emails to and from the client....and the newly added toolbar aspect whereby a right hand extension opens when you are in an email with a client or affiliated vendor
Consthe follow up features/emails etc. were somewhat lacking...however, they have improved this aspect incredibly

“Contactually Concierge Service ”

OverallWe are still relatively new to the service (just over one year). Caroline has made a major difference in making Contactually integrate with our other systems.
ProsCaroline Long is our representative. We were a client of Contactually when they offered their new Concierge Service. We signed up immediately as it was just what we needed. We were not fully using the tools within Contactually when Caroline was assigned to our account. We are very happy with her work and would recommend her and this service for other Contactually accounts.
ConsWe need texting within Contactually. We can only cut and paste presently to record these interactions.

“Really great for individuals, not bad for teams either.”

OverallI've used Contactually several times. I've used it personally and set up entrepreneurs and small sales staffs on it. This is the best CRM, in my opinion, for teams of three or less. Tons of automation options and scheduling options to help you "scale yourself."
ProsAutomation is great, really easy to use for individuals, dynamically monitors your inbox, so you don't need to "log" much.
ConsCan be difficult to implement for larger sales teams.
Recommendations to other buyersThis is PERFECT for entrepreneurs or for serial networkers who want to keep tabs on hundreds of relationships at once.

“Falling Behind”

OverallOriginally it was great for staying in touch with customers, but now most CRMs will provide similar functionality. Their lack of focus on their general users is really starting to show in their product with bugs that aren't being fixed and a general lack of innovation.

ConsThey have almost completely stopped innovating and improving their product. Their customer service directly says they are no longer focused on general users and they are only focused on innovating for Compass. It's a real shame as the product was great, but it's really starting to fall behind the other CRMs for real estate agents.

“Great for automation and tracking”

OverallContactually is the best CRM for business owners that want to track and automate lists of any size. They not only have email sending capabilities, but they track calls, texts, emails and manual notes as well. They integrate with all sorts of systems so that you can automate your business followup. Get some help to be most efficient, but it's easy to use right out of the box as well. I have service based clients that are 10K a year to 500K a year using this system and it's just what they need

“Best CRM, Worst Customer Service”

ProsIt's ease of use, overall visual appearance and it's excellent features for client follow up and maintenance.
ConsCustomer service always quick on chat but unresolved issues go, well, unresolved, for weeks. Zero follow up after multiple emails on 3 different occasions. Most tech platforms I use for real estate have issues resolved within minutes. Contactually takes weeks and multiple attempts to reach/resolve. I really hope no one has this experience but notice that others have as well after reading reviews. Too bad I like it so much or I'd go elsewhere. Good for you Contactually.

ProsSomehow this software always seems to know who you need to contact next! Compared to digging through contacts on other CRMs, this is the most intelligent one I've found. When I open up my app, follow ups appear and they are extremely relevant to deals I'm trying to close currently.

“Remembering what matters most, People!”

OverallAs a business owner in a service industry, real estate, it is critical for me to build relationships on a consistent basis and make sure that I foster them as much as possible. This has been realized by contactually in a very fun, easy to manage, and clean way. Their philosophies on organization make keeping in touch with people and locating people very easy. For someone that is focused daily on growing their database and not letting anyone get lost in translation, I can have confidence that contactually will remind me of the people that I need to reach out to once again and gives me a place where I can keep track of those conversations for future reference - which is phenomenal for someone that really wants to be able to focus on a conversation and then tuck it away for later when things need to be referenced again. I think one of the best things about the team at contactually is the fact that they are a growing company of people that are very passionate about helping others. I have not had one unpleasant conversation with them, and every time I feel like they want to hear about the features that I am looking for as well as how you they can improve the features that are already in place.
Prosgreat services, awesome layout, easy to learn the basics
Constasks functionality is lacking, very focused on messaging when I am very focused on over the phone - would like to see a faster way to update contacts.

“Great CRM for any startup trying to scale!”

ProsAfter having my team try several other CRM tools, I'm thankful that we found Contactually. Onboarding was simple, the customer service team is very responsive, and it integrates seamlessly with our existing systems. Overall, it is a great value for the price and I wold highly recommend it to anyone running sales for a small team. A few of my favorite features that I can no longer live without are: 1. ScaleMail - allows us to send large, personalized batches of emails to potential clients 2. Pre-built lead nurture programs to help our team stay focused in our outreach efforts 3. Library of pre-written (and proven) email templates which provide GREAT inspiration
ConsWhen we first began using Contactually we had one minor issue uploading contacts, but after notifying the team they quickly resolved the issue and uploading has since been a piece of cake!

“Used to be my favorite CRM but they are slow to innovate and add New Features”

ProsReally great CRM for computer novices. The dashboard is a great implementation of daily tasks & reminders. Many CRM's could learn something by looking at the Dashboard in Contactually. The Bucket Game is an easy way to classify your contacts into similar groups.
ConsFailure to innovate. slow as molasses on a cold winter day to add features. Customers have been asking for a "Birthday Field" for 3+years and it's still not part of the Contacts data set. Numerous other feature requests never get implemented either. They say you "own" your data and it can be easily exported but that's just not true. The do have exports of your data but it is an incomplete set of data. If you create 50 custom email templates there is now way to export them or save them if you choose to use a different product. That isn't data portability. Also, had some issues with backups not being able to be restored.

“Contactually review”

OverallFor the right person, this is a great CMS.
ProsI really like how easy it was to add different contacts to your "buckets". In fact, you could even play it as a game to make it easier to sort your contacts.
ConsIt didn't have a robust enough functionality for my business. I think if you are looking for a CMS that keeps your database in order, Contactually is a good choice. If you require more than just database management and email drip campaigns, you may be disappointed.

“After trying many CRM's I found this to be the most user friendly.”

OverallI can keep track of all my clients and stay connected in a way I wasn't able to previously.
ProsEase of use and the bucket system make this the go to CRM for realtors. I love that it can read my emails and recognize when I have a new contact or knows when there are double contacts. I am in my 9th year of real estate and wish I had found this sooner.
ConsI think I may need to upgrade to an automatic drip campaign version as it's tricky to figure out what to keep emailing contacts about.

“Easy to understand client followup and business development without the admin headache. ”

ProsI love that it takes the thinking out of a CRM so i can do the work. With templates, action sets, and recommended behaviors / tasks based on activities, I can know that I'm following industry-leading activities.
ConsI personally am NOT at the point were I can justify this cost each month. I certainly need to get my sales to a point that would justify spending this on a CRM. I also didn't like that I could only try it for a 14 day period. While this is enough to see the functions of a software, its NOT long enough to feel traction in your business, which is the ultimate selling benefit of a software program.

“Love this product. Couldn't work without it.”

ProsSo much to say!!! I love that contactually will automatically update contacts. I really like the ability to send template emails and schedule these. I think the pipeline and program feature is invaluable. Finally organizing by buckets is great as was the onboarding process.
ConsI price has gone up in recent years. I wish i could switch to the annual payment without losing the grandfathered in option. I also wish the app had more functionality especially access to the pipelines.

“Best Real Estate CRM ”

OverallI have been a user for many years. When I first signed up it took me some time to get comfortable but the product go better and I got a lot of support from the contractually team. they listen to the users feedback and work with you. Love my personal concierge Caroline Long keeping me accountable and on top of my database.
Proseverything.. buckets, scale mail.. best Real estate CRM I have ever used.
Consphone app, it got better over time but use to crash a lot. I now don't use it much so cant really say much.

“Extremely helpful software for beginning fundraisers.”

ProsThis software, overall, has good functionality. I love being able to keep track of a wide variety of groups and communication strategies using Pipelines and Buckets.
ConsDiffering functionality (and even look) depending on whether I am using it on the computer, iPhone, or iPad. I don't have the capability to do some of the contact editing I would like to be able to do on the go. Also, Contactually is not as intuitive as I would like it to be.

“An awesome CRM for maintaining relationships”

OverallContactually has helped me strengthen relationships and win new projects.
ProsContactually seems unique among CRMs in that it's focussed on maintaining a 'pace of communication', where you want to regularly re-engage with certain people. This makes it great when you have a lot of people you want to talk with, follow up with, and build a strong relationship with. I'm someone who tends to get focussed on whatever project I'm working on and forget to follow up with key prospects, clients, and even friends. Contactually helps me work around my own forgetfulness.
ConsI wish it wasn't so focussed heavily on Real Estate, and was maybe a little easier to use. It also doesn't provide support for multiple email accounts which is frustrating you really need multiple accounts for multiple emails.

“Contactually - Pure Disappointment - Terrible Service - AVOID!!!”

OverallTHEY WANT YOU TO PAY TO BETA TEST THIS CRAP SOFTWARE From the moment I started using this software there were bugs, and issues that cost me time and money. The redeeming qualities were always outweighed by the issues I had. If you are a busy professional looking to find a CRM solution look elsewhere. All the time spent going through my contacts and putting them in buckets was a total waste of time. Even though they gave me a 25% discount I still decided not to stay on with them, but the software was so bad I put my account on hold. They now claim it has been improved since then, but I can't even get a straight answer on how to get my contact lists downloaded without paying for another month. I don't really need them, but had a new project I could have used. They also wont honor the discount they promised me for "life" in writing. I even opened the door for them to show me how much they improved but their customer service completely dropped the ball this time when I had a really simple issue that couldn't be resolved within weeks. How do I download my contacts without a paid account?

“Changed. My. Life.”

OverallYes, yes, yes! This has helped me strengthen both business and personal relationships and I've already gotten several new consulting gigs because I followed up with someone. Contactually literally paid for itself in just a few months.
ProsIt really does live up to the promise of "a personal assistant for your inbox." Contactually checks your email to figure out the most important people in your life, and then reminds you to follow up with them. And it's super easy to use -- I barely had to do anything to get started. Perfect example of how it's helped me: Yesterday, I was thinking it had been a long time since I talked with a friend who could probably help me drum up business. And then today Contactually reminded me to get in touch with that friend, because it had been 6 months since we'd talked. Amazing!
ConsNo cons! Unless you count that I have no free time now because Contactually has made me so network-y and efficient that I'm constantly at lunches and happy hours because I'm following up with all the leads and contacts that really matter.

ConsProjects. It will tell me to contact every person in the project which is anoying. Instead the could work with a reminder for the project as a whole or if there were subtasks it could work as well.

“Use to organize my sphere of influence for my business.”

ProsI like that you can organize your contacts easily as well as upload brand new contacts and put notes down for that contact so I can remember exactly who they are.
ConsI don't like that it took me awhile to learn my way around the software and how to get everything organized, but after a while of using it I got the hang of it.

“Takes the leg work out of organizing contacts”

OverallAfter trying a bunch of other CRM products out there, I was frustrated. Salesforce was too heavy a solution for what I needed, and expensive. Products like SugarCRM and Zoho felt outdated and clunky. What I needed was something that would sync my contacts from multiple sources into one place and then keep them updated - and that's exactly what I found in Contactually. It's simple, lightweight and it works with a bunch of my contact sources (Google, Mailchimp, etc.), and now I don't need to worry about where any particular contact's info is. I get the added bonus of getting reminders for contacts I've fallen out of touch with. That's not what I was looking for when I started, but it's been surprisingly helpful in identifying people I need to get back in touch with.
Pros- Automatic import and update of contact info, no leg work required - Reminders to keep in touch with contacts I haven't talked to - Keeps a full history of my communication with the contact, across multiple platforms (email, twitter, Mailchimp...)
ConsNeeds more integrations with third party software!

ProsEfficient and friendly customer service, consistant through billing to tech support. They also focus on listening to feedback to address improvements and include customers when innovation their mobile apps.
ConsYou better expect to be active in putting contacts in your buckets, ensure you set realistic follow up goals as well as ensure the input of data from various sources does not continuously upload the same contacts you already removed. (thus always having to remove contacts you already deleted to ensure unbucketed contacts do not become overwhelming.

“Full of Glitches, Bugs and Flaws”

OverallWe purchased the team version with high hopes, based on the previous reviews. Little did we know that this is an unfinished product. Too much to put in one review--suffice to say, this product is several Betas away from being close to ready. A total exercise in frustration if you have a large number of contacts. Several calls to support only showed the flaws are on the books and they are working on it. In the meantime, what a mess. I am going back to a CRM that has been tested thoroughly. The bucket system is a great idea--and the only part of the program I will praise highly. As for managing contacts-- it has been a disaster for us. I hate to be so negative, but as a long time user of Top Producer and Agent Office before that--this is not a good CRM for our team.

ConsImport process, lack of features in contact management, does not refresh properly when making changes, freezes after too much use, only allows so much deleting and then stops working till later on--takes too long to get support

“Changes the Relational Management Side of Business”

OverallOur company loved Contactually so much that we integrated it into one of our main tools offered to our real estate agents. We are an "Enterprise" company with Contactually. When we launched, we had our own dedicated coach who held our hand through the 6 week adoption time. He did webinars, called to check in, and still (a year later) checks in regularly.
ProsIt integrates with Google accounts - if you did nothing more than use the integration, you'd be miles ahead of your competition.
ConsIt's a little glitchy here and there, but the support team is quick to look into those issues for us.

“Equal Pros and Cons”

OverallCustomer service professional were friendly, but slow to respond. I was also never successful at reaching someone by phone or chat. Only email.
ProsThe website is easy to use and the follow up reminders are organized. I was looking for something simple, so this CRM was attractive to me for that reason only.
ConsYou do not get enough for your money. It's too expensive to not be able to add email templates, etc...

ProsThe ability to round robin or import leads directly into my team members bucks is extremely nice. Also being able to see the analytics of how the team is performing is invaluable. We were able to build out a 14 year automated program that will bring us to the next level!
ConsAs with any system it takes a little bit to get used to, and then just when you think you have it down pat you realize there are even more functions you can use. so I wouldn't really call that a con. Just like any system, nothing is perfect but Contactually fits our team needs amazingly well!

OverallContactually has been extremely helpful in letting me streamline my pipeline, keep in touch with old contacts/clients, and has definitely paid for itself 10x over. The features are lightweight but still substantial enough for me (I run a small web design agency with 10 people and handle the majority of our sales/marketing). Contactually is an absolute must for my business. I highly suggest testing it out.
ProsLightweight, has mobile apps (iphone/android), allows for easy scheduling/tracking of emails, as well the ability to add users into 'programs' -- so you can nearly automate email campaigns to your clients/prospect list.
ConsThe cost is $40/mo per user (the package I am on), but like I mentioned the system has MORE than paid for itself. There are occasional hiccups with the platform, however I am an alpha tester so I'm seeing things before they go live to most people.

“An average web-based customer relationship management suite.”

ProsThe application helps people to control and manage their contacts activities. It can import contacts from an account already created and allows the user to make categories, merge accounts and automate actions for follow-up emails. The application has a good user interface and a very dedicated support service center. They do have a decent bucket system and email templates and even includes email automation. It has all the features that you require for implementing CRM for a small business. Easy to send the template emails and schedule.
ConsThey have some glitches, that sometimes you end up losing your unsaved and even saved work. It has some issue with merging, where they merge unwanted data that leads to duplication of work. This product is very much overpriced and you will find a lot of applications with the same features on the market that are priced way lesser than contractually. It eats up a lot of your time. The application lacks in advanced features, you would find that none of your requests about features will be implemented.

“Great Program, Customer Support Responsive but not Understanding”

ProsThis is a great CRM tool, I like the daily reminder emails and the ability to create entire timed programs to happen automatically once you upload certain contacts. For those who have worked with it longer, they say it is seamless.
ConsI did have some trouble tracking emails, and when I reached out to customer support, I received an answer that acknowledged my issue but didn't provide a solution, work around, or eta on improvements. It felt as though it was being swept under the rug, which was a little frustrating.

“I thought it was too pricy at first, but worth every penny!”

OverallHaving a CRM that intelligently tells YOU what to do once set up, is incredible. It's already paid for itself in old connections and leads being recycled. I even use it to keep in touch with family and friends!
Pros- Extremely intuitive and quick to pick up - Great customer support via phone - Automation - Pipeline visual support (also linked to automation) - Game to sort contacts into buckets - Only take a few minutes a day to maintain
Recommendations to other buyersIf they offer a one-on-one call during your trial to help you learn and use it, take it! It's worth it to be able to ask questions and learn about features.

OverallOverall, I like Contactually. It is one of the easier and more eye-pleasing platforms that is out there for CRM and campaign management.
ProsI like that Contactually is farely easy to learn to input your clients/contacts into the database. I also really like the feature that allows you to flag your contacts, and based on those flags, can send automated messages. This can help streamline tasks like on-boarding and keeping track of the process flow.
ConsFinding features can be kind of a challenge.

“Great CRM for a great price”

ProsThis software does a great job of staying on top of your client relations and reminding you to keep in touch with them. I really like the bucket system for the contacts.
ConsI think the software needed a better way to filter tasks. It felt like if they accumulated too fast for me, then I never got to the end of my task list.

“The best CRM I've used”

OverallLove the software, had been looking for a CRM for commercial real estate for a long time and finally found one that will organize things for me and help me make more money.
ProsEase of use, intelligent organization, perfect for showing me who I should follow up on and when the last time I spoke to them was.
ConsDidn't track some emails of some contacts when contacts were imported. Not really any cons so far. Could make it easier to edit contacts when you bring them up, instead of clicking another button in the contact to start editing them.

“Contactually - Helps me close more business.”

OverallI have been a longtime user of Contactually. I am in enterprise financial software sales, deployments that run from 50k-2M. Contactually connects right into my email account (most of my business is done via email) so it knows when I have contacted customers/prospects, you can also log calls and meetings we well. I create "Buckets" in Contactually, which are similar to a tags, and set a reminder time frame to ensure that I keep in touch with contacts within the bucket. I don't think there is a limit on the number of buckets, but I keep it simple and have 5 buckets (15, 30, 45, 60, 180 day followups). When I log into Contactually I am presented with a dashboard which tells me its time to follow up with contacts. No need to create a task like in most CRMs. Nurturing existing leads, keeping in contact with past leads, and staying in contact with your customers with Contactually has helped me close more business.
