There is a learning curve, especially if you have never worked with the template type before, but it is easy to grasp with some practice. Pros PT is a great platform for project management. I like the separate projects for each job, the directory for each, the email address to copy emails and send directly to the project. The implementation and support teams were great. Always ready to help or troubleshoot! The templates are extremely helpful so you can easily churn out documents like subcontracts in no time, once the initial set up is complete. Cons I wish there was a more customizable project home page. I would like to see the main project details along with customizable fields, like budget items, important contacts, quick links, checklists. There is the ability to add checklists, but it would be nice to have a checklist template (ie: project setup, handoff, close out, etc.) to move to and from each phase. It would be nice for the terminology to be customizable as well, like changing Field Reports to Daily Reports. Using "forms" as a title for all paperwork was confusing to our employees. It became a critical platform for managing project information, workflows, documentation, and accountability across a large and growing portfolio. What stood out most was the flexibility of the system and its ability to support the way our project teams actually worked, rather than forcing the organization into a rigid process. We were able to configure workflows, forms, and project controls around our business needs and create much better consistency and visibility across projects. ProjectTeam was a key enabler of the project management and construction processes we built at Invenergy and contributed significantly to our ability to scale those functions successfully. We were able to configure the platform around Invenergy’s project delivery and construction processes rather than changing our processes to fit the software. As an owner/developer managing a large portfolio, that flexibility allowed us to standardize workflows, forms, approvals, reporting, and document controls across projects while still accommodating different project needs. They also set up FedRAMP requirements, so if your in need of this function, they can give you that. Pros ProjectTeam offers some of the most extensive customization available for managing projects across an entire portfolio. Their customer support team is also highly responsive, quickly addressing email requests from both system administrators and individual users. The tools for organizing documentation access and receiving notifications are strong, and the platform continues to expand these capabilities. Cons The system occasionally requires work-arounds that add a few extra steps to certain processes, but overall it performs the necessary functions. I would like to see ProjectTeam further specialize in certain features, though this is mainly because our company uses multiple separate platforms for scheduling and cost management. The workflows and continuities between features makes it seamless to work through either Pros I enjoy that project forms can be linked to one another directly through references and workflows can be made it that make it easy for all team members to use. Cons When logging in, a prompt always pops up that asked if I’ve used the platform before. It would be nice to have an option to not show this again. Easy to find help if or when needed. The support is solid as well. Cons Possibly nitpicking here however sometimes the UI felt a little flashy. It will take a little time to get to know it better. Pros Accessibility and Transparency of information. The site has a good layout and it easy to navigate and the ability to export information. Cons How people forget to tag groups/people on items. Might be user error on their end, but it would be nice if there was an easier way to make sure everyone sees all the information. I wish the email notifications had more information on what the responses are for RFI's/Submittals. Regarding your comments on tagging groups or individuals, ProjectTeam includes a feature called Share Rules that allows teams to automatically share RFIs, submittals, and other records with the right people based on defined criteria such as form type, status, or role. This helps reduce reliance on manual tagging while still ensuring the appropriate stakeholders are kept informed. Unlike systems that take a “share everything with everybody” approach, ProjectTeam places a strong emphasis on security and role-based permissions, so information is shared intentionally and only with those who should have access. It’s great to hear your overall experience has been positive, and you’re absolutely right that the platform becomes even more powerful as you spend more time using it.
