They also set up FedRAMP requirements, so if your in need of this function, they can give you that. Pros ProjectTeam offers some of the most extensive customization available for managing projects across an entire portfolio. Their customer support team is also highly responsive, quickly addressing email requests from both system administrators and individual users. The tools for organizing documentation access and receiving notifications are strong, and the platform continues to expand these capabilities. Cons The system occasionally requires work-arounds that add a few extra steps to certain processes, but overall it performs the necessary functions. I would like to see ProjectTeam further specialize in certain features, though this is mainly because our company uses multiple separate platforms for scheduling and cost management. It is easy to train end users and help them learn the ropes. It has a few bugs here and there, but is still a better product than most competitors. Pros I like the ability to keep documents in a centralized location, and designate them to the appropriate form type - it helps keep Drawings, RFI's, etc in one place. I like the search function as well - it's helped me locate documents efficiently many times! For the price, it's an excellent platform! Customer support has been helpful as well. Cons I find it frustrating to assign access to users and designate Share Groups appropriately. I wish there was better document signature integration, especially with DocuSign. I also think the Contracting process and bidding ability could be tweaked a bit. I would like the reporting feature to be improved, potentially by straying away from Exago. In general, it is a good platform. My complaints are just with how information is organized and steps that are repetitive at times. Pros Nice compact way to gather project information and assign to appropriate team members. Generally has a good interface and keeps information at the teams fingertips throughout construction. Cons Some of the workflows are not intuitive, can be clunky to get things coded correctly. Some items, submittal approvals for example, seem to require the same information to be input multiple times to update the status of a submittal. It feels like this could be streamlined. I like that it is a fairly simple and straightforward software to use. Pros I appreciate the customer support team's responsiveness. When I have had issues in the past, it has been very helpful to have their quick responses and solutions that actually solve the problems I experience. They have been quite communicative and I appreciate that. Cons There are some functionality items that could be improved on, for example when importing contracts I also have to separately set up the project directory. Cons I hard as a try to remember something that was not to my liking, I cannot. There is plenty of capacity to store documents, pdf's files etc. Cons Once an RFI is closed it can't be reopened if new information becomes available. This makes multiple iterations of the same basis RFI. All form records in ProjectTeam, including RFIs, can be locked at certain points in your workflow, but locking is optional and not required by the system. Many organizations choose to lock records at closure to preserve a clear audit trail and prevent unintended changes. That said, project administrators have the ability to unlock records if new information becomes available, allowing updates to be made without creating multiple iterations of the same RFI when it makes sense to do so. It's a great collaboration tool especially for project management. I'm waiting for the release of a more robust marking up tool. Pros Intuitive interface. Easy to learn. It is easy to attach documents and keep track of the progress. I love that you can view file's version history and assign task to project members. Cons I wish it has a better interface for marking up documents. Perhaps a customizable mark-up tools. Things like a personal stamp would be a great feature. I am an administrator for my organization and the ability to adjust forms and workflows on the fly has been a huge help. Also, the fact that they have a FedRAMP authorized version of the system sets it apart from most the other solutions on the market. Cons There is not much I like least about the system. If I had to say something I guess I wish reports were easier to create in some cases. But they do allow users to add custom formulas and calculations so still very flexible. We also have some people that aren't very good with spreadsheets which made Smartsheets a little cumbersome to administer.
