I will definitely use it again for future projects. I've been able to use it without having to Google how to do anything, which is a good sign of an intuitive product. Pros The free tier of Jotform has plenty of features to handle simple projects. The form builder is easy to use and intuitive, I was able to customize it to get what I wanted. It was simple to embed into my existing website (hosted with GitHub Pages) and looks very clean. The Jotform branding, included on the free tier, is only at the bottom of the form and not at all intrusive. Cons The feature to have users take a photo as part of their submission seems to result in really low quality images. But the same component gets much better quality images when they select an existing photo off their device. It's frustrating because having the ability to open the camera on the form is a nice touch. Also no more digging through emails to determine what a client wants and people can simply fill out on their own time. They automatically dump data into other systems using zapier. Beats sending messy word docs that people can not even open or fill-out properly. Pros I am currently waiting in line at a cafe with an empty stomach, so i will keep this short. I like that you don't need to be able to program to get something looking good, just drag & drop. Using the AI function to build your form for you really saves you from having to type alot on a small screen. Also all of the answers get sent directly to my email so i don't have to be logged in all the time checking to see who has completed it. Cons They let you create 5 free forms, but there is a response limit of 100, which is far too quickly. Then they want you to pay and their pricing is a bit steep for what you receive. If you have a longer title for your form it gets cut off on the dashboard and i cannot tell whether it is the copy or original. My username also sticks to the end of the link of the form even though i try to change it. Trying to edit the background colors on my phone is a nightmare. June 5, 2026 5.0 It is a good tool overall, the submission and signature limits do get annoying on the licensing and you can see they use it to make people pay for higher tiers but it does the job well. Pros It has great functionality when it comes to data collection and storage in one place, it has integration with Google Sheets so the data can be stored on our corporate Drive and shared among our staff. Cons They do not have a small team option and you can only buy the enterprise license so without it collaborating on a form is cumbersome because you can only give temporary access to the collaborator, not being able to store on a team drive location and when we need to collaborate at a later date then it has to be shared again otherwise the collaborator cannot access it. The platform has a variety of features and capabilities, making it easy to streamline nearly any process or workflow you can think of. I think the flexibility of the forms is a strength and makes the not-so-techy person feel empowered. We have also found the AI helper Podo to be extremely helpful. By providing a description of the form or project, the AI can generate a form that is very close to what is needed, significantly reducing time spent creating the forms. Pros Jotform helped us streamline many of our internal processes at our organization. It also immensely reduced our reliance on paper forms by allowing us to move applications, onboarding documents, and other workflows online. It's super user-friendly and they make it easy to collect, manage, and report on your data. If you can picture a workflow and want to streamline it, Jotform likely has a form, tool, or workflow that can help you accomplish it. Cons Like any software platform, there is always room for improvement. One challenge we encountered was that on the Gold plan, the HIPAA features could not be completely disabled on all forms. Even when a form did not collect PHI, certain reports still required password protection when downloaded. It would be helpful if these security features were optional for forms that do not contain sensitive information. Another challenge involved the identity verification process for a visitor sign-in/sign-out form. End users were required to complete CAPTCHA challenges/games and other verification steps to confirm they were human, which created additional steps for patrons who simply wanted to sign in or out. While this was ultimately resolved by verifying users through a valid ID and a photo of the individual holding their ID, the process initially felt cumbersome for our use case. One more challenge we encountered was with the Jotform Sign feature. The file size limit for uploaded documents was restrictive, allowing uploads of only up to 10 MB. So larger documents could not be sent through the platform. We work with lengthy packets and a larger file size allowance would be beneficial. Due to this limitation, we ultimately used Dropbox Sign, for our documents. However, I am sure that they are working to increase the size limit. My most frequent use is to create a registration form with both Zoom and Salesforce integrations, so respondents get a Zoom link upon registration and also get added to a Salesforce campaign. It has made event sign-ups so much more efficient! Pros I really love the value you get for even the lower-level subscriptions--it makes it a really cost-effective tool for data collection. I have been really impressed at how the AI assistant can help you fix integrations with other platforms. It is very easy to set up Salesforce and Zoom integrations and to customize forms for every use. Cons I do wish it were a little easier to get customer support from a live person instead of AI for especially tricky questions, and it would be nice if you could have multiple people on one account, even if it were a more expensive account. Cons For some reason, the confirmation emails that go out to our customers/applicants often goes to spam. It's the only issue we have and we don't have that issue with our email address normally. We've used it to create pipelines for several projects, as it can integrate with other applications like Planning Center and CRM tools like Go High Level. Creating fields for data that you care about is as easy as using MS Excel. Cons My least favorite thing about Jotform is that you have to pay to over a certain number of records. As I noted earlier...it was easy to create the form I wanted with the options that I wanted. Customers have found the form to be user friendly but have noted that the picture verification/authentication block can sometimes prove challenging for them. Pros I found the platform was easy to use both from a creative standpoint, as well as a submission standpoint. I was able to create a form that captured the customer information I needed without difficulty. Cons I don't like that, upon saiving a new item or editing an existing item, the form returns me to the top of the list. Additionally, I wish the form would allow some customers to select online payment through a payment gateway while giving other customers the option to submit without payment... currently, if I set up the payment gateway, everyone has to pay prior to submission. I don't like that. I've also found that customers who have certain email providers (ie Comcast) do not receive a confirming email. Perhaps it's my perception, and while I know the information from the form can be exported to an EXCEL spreadsheet, I wish there was the capability to have an easy to read printout of orders I need for a particular day. It makes reviewing registrations simple also on the backend. With integrations we can move data around without much effort. Pros Jotform has both the power for complex forms, but also the ability to make it look good to both sides of the data-from those filling things out to those reviewing the data later. The cost is also in the sweet spot making it a great value. Cons Without the enterprise level you can't have multiple users. I'd love an option to allow 1-3 more named users on our account without having to jump to the enterprise level of the product.
