President Insurance Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Easy to use for basic forms" November 1, 2021 5.0 Pros Jotform is very easy to put together, customize, and get a link out there so you can gather some information, and promote whatever product or business you are wanting to promote. We have had no issues in putting our logos on the form, customizing the templates, or even being able to look through other templates on the site to be able to get a few ideas for what we would like to put together. The free version is great, because it does everything that we needed to do, however, it is obviously limited in the number of submissions you can receive so paying for monthly service will be necessary if you intend more than 100 submissions per month. Cons I think the biggest point of contention for me with the software is the pricing levels. To go from zero dollars to $30 a month is a big swing, especially since we only need maybe up to 500 submissions per month. Paying $30 a month for submission counts that we will likely never use is a bit frustrating, and I hope that jot form will have a better entry level category in the near future. To be able to play 10, maybe 15 bucks a month to have 500 submissions would be excellent for your small businesses like myself who are getting started utilizing the form. There are also two different types of forms - card (1 question at a time) and classic (all questions on one form) Cons It's not very visually customisable - it has a default style which is difficult to edit. We are moving to Gravity Form as a result. Pros The UI is pleasant for both the user and the integration. Setting it up was easy and getting it integrated with ActiveCampaign over the API wasn't difficult. Cons The support is a HUGE problem. We work in mental health and having client inquiries transmist can be a matter of life and death if someone is in crisis. We noticed we were not having contacts transfer some times and other times, parts of data which was mapped, wasn't transmitting and deals weren't being generated due to missing tags and data. This alarmed us and we reset the integration to no avail. We contacted support multiple times to find responses that regularly took 4-7 days and sometimes no response at all. It was infuriating and irresponsible on their side. As I´ve use forms with branching, I had a better experience using jotform. Cons It is a good software that you can use for free (with a limit of form visualization/answer) or using a signature. That can be consider cons if you take into account that google forms is free. Of course we've tweaked the forms in order to make the experience smoother for our team. It is quite easy to learn, and we've even added in some computations in the forms, and it's been really helpful. It does take a while to figure out the approval feature, but once you've overcome that hurdle, it gets easier. I particularly like the fact that we can customize it just enough so it doesn't look like Google Forms or Microsoft Forms. Pros We use Jotform for leave applications and petty cash requests in our small team. Before Jotform, we would typically do it manually and though it is seemingly mundane, does contribute to some inefficiencies specifically for me an my partner who approve these requests. Jotform helped streamline all those. I like the feature that allows people to sign in the digital forms. This allowed us to completely remove some of the basic forms we have in our office and just transition to digital. It then gives us a PDF report after. Cons The free version is quite generous, allowing you to use the useful features of the app. I do find the pricing a bit expensive. It start from free and then suddenly jumps to 34 USD. A wonderful piece of software that provides us a professional front end appearance while cutting our labour hours in half. I can create forms that appear exactly as I want them to since it is so user-friendly and gives tremendous customization choices. Pros Jotforms offers extensive capabilities for complex form development and is an easy method to create forms to collect information. I adore how the API functions and how it relates to the other products that power my company. It makes handling customer requests for my staff very simple. The process of developing and disseminating multiple data-collecting questionnaires, monitoring surveyor answers, and producing data reports has been very excellent. Cons The mobile app does not allow you to examine analytics; the only option for downloading data is PDFs. On the mobile application, it occasionally refuses to convert to PDF and forces a shutdown. IT Recreational Facilities and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Too many bugs & quirks, too little support" August 25, 2022 2.0 I've had 2 experiences with trying to build a form to accomplish an important task, and it's failed both times. The tools don't work properly, there's no support, and when the issue is on their end, you're just out of luck. There's no fix time, ever. Don't use this for anything where you can't work around this service's repeated failures. Pros It appears, on the surface, to offer a ton of really nice form elements & features. You can make the forms do a lot of seemingly cool stuff that's difficult, if not impossible in some other form builders (until you actually deploy them & discover their true, undisclosed limitations/quirks). Cons There are constant bugs, quirks, and downtime, with ZERO live support regardless of subscriptions level. My biggest issue is with prefilling forms for customers. Important fields like the product list can't be prefilled so all the customer has to do is review & sign. Of course, it doesn't tell you this until you go to actually prefill a form. Now I'm left with a situation where I have to have a different, less-capable form if I want to prefill contracts for customers using existing info. What a waste. Better yet, there's no support. If you have a question or issue, you get to wait for an email response. Of course, they only deal with part of what you've asked, so you then have to send another email, then wait another unknowable period of time for the next person to deal with half of the problem, then requiring another email, another wait.... and so forth. Of course, if it's an underlying issue with their software (like the improperly functioning dropdown quantity selector), they say they'll send it to the developer team, and who knows when/if the problem will get addressed at that point. They literally tell you that they can't tell you. Not acceptable for commercial deployment, imo. From the limitless possibilities with the form builder to the knowledgeable Q&A support staff, JotForm definitely has a winning solution. I would recommend this for small and large businesses, from technical to food service, from cars to dress alterations, from vacation rentals to feedback portals. The people at JotForm listen to feedback and feature requests, I myself was able to have a widget updated after I found a bug that had previously gone unnoticed. You won't find a better combination of power, flexibility, compatibility, user-friendliness, and helpful support in such a refined package. Pros In short, everything. For starters, the ability to sign up for free and begin immediately creating forms that work within minutes is unmatched. I am impressed by the extensive amount of widgets that can be utilized for custom data entry, from QR code scanners to file uploaders to widgets that can perform custom calculations. The logic editor for controlling if and where questions, textboxes, widgets, etc. appear is very powerful and allows for virtually limitless form possibilities. I've used these to in conjunction with QR scanners to load pre-populated forms that allow technicians at my workplace to upload photos of machine issues, describe repair procedures, and even add parts used for repairs. Seperately I've also worked on forms used to report inventory / ERP data discrepancies that can be mailed to specific recipient groups based on which part of the ERP system is in question. I could ramble on about the endless customization with the design editor, the ability to do advanced back-end coding including the addition of dedicated HTML, PHP, and other code languages, the ability to integrate forms with everything from Google Drive to Airtable to PayPal, secondary integrations with Microsoft Flow, you name it. And the amazing thing to me is, the forms look stunning on desktops, tablets and mobile devices. And if you don't like how a particular widget looks, crack open the CSS on the back end and you can build pretty much anything. Cons The power and capabilities of the system can be a bit overwhelming to a new user. There isn't an easy tutorial to get you going right off the bat, so you're left searching at times for how best to accomplish a particular goal with your form. That said, the Q&A portion of the website is very helpful, and the ability to ask questions and get fast feedback more than offsets any initial disorientation. The only other con is the weak integration with Microsoft products and web-based services. I'm not sure what the issue there is, but it has been a hiccup during my integrations and projects. There are work-arounds for this, but those are weak as well. That said, JotForm is always developing new plug-and-play integrations, which means this is something that could be seen in the future. And they listen to their users' feedback. We did not face any kind of system issues or troubles so far. We use it daily to collect our customers data and responses via 25 Jot Forms. Finally i should say, as a system admin, JotForm is a Very Powerful Form Builder that can archive anyone's business requirements with a grate value by using only few simple clicks. Pros First of all, The user interface is brilliant. Very easy to understand. Easy Drag and Drop form builder saves lots of time in our corporate life. JotForm design process is very straight forward and gives ability to customize out forms according to our requirements. It allows our team to collaborate simultaneously which is a grate feature that i did not see from other competitors before. Another Plus point is that JotForm has lots or integration options with 3rd party systems like Paypal, Stripe, Skrill & etc. They provide few different pricing plans with a very attractive Free Plan which includes 5 Free Forms. Of course JotForm has a reasonable price when compare to its competitors. It has a grate library with over 10,000 Templates. E Signature is a another grate feature to mention. Cons Sometimes, Its confusing to find the right template for us. But eventually we do. I would appreciate if they can improve their customer service center. sometime it is harder to get a help instantly form their side. July 17, 2022 5.0 I have been using this product since many years, I used it first and then left it due to lack some budget issue, Just to accommodate few more submission, I could not upgrade. But then I soon realised that JotFiorm is one of the only kind that lessens my workload to export and real time tracking so I convinced for paid plans. Pros There is a long list of capabilities that JotForm comes with, in starting when we were searching for a solution that can build a WYSIWYG form, that can store the data, and reflect the data in real time excel sheet, and Boom, we got it. It solved our problem of payment + data collection in a simple frame. Hats-off to the founders and developers. It would take at-least a week earlier to make a HTML form with custom fields and on top of that validations of each field was a standing nightmare. Now we got an express way, simply loving it.. Cons To be honest, the pricing plans are not use pocket friendly. If you are not working with regular form business then it will be better to use Google or Zoho. In free tier you get 5 forms with 100 submissions each, which is not a great deal. You at-least have to upgrade to their silver plan to accommodate marginal amount of data. Also, the payment gateways are limited to Stripe and PayPal. Not much useful for your audience based out in South Asia. However it may not be the best product for our smaller mental health practice right now. Pros Jotform is very easy to use and gives my practice the ability to easily send paperwork to clients. Building specific forms and gathering data are part of jotform's primary use for us as an organization. Cons Jotform is a system that is likely meant for an organization that is bigger than ours (2-10 employees). I find that many of our clinicians and clients prefer using physical paperwork even when given the option of digital form. There is also some integrations issues when switching between desktop and mobile devices that clients have reported several times.
