Pros I'm a big fan of having tried it a few years ago. More recently they have brought it on leaps and bounds. The interface is easy, the functionality is simple but comprehensive and for every data capture need we have found a solution. Very strong option and has a large number of integrations and options with Zapier and Integromat. Cons We have found a few (non-critical) bugs here and there and the support have been strong in acknowledgement but not so fast in resolving them. " May 31, 2023 5.0 has been effective to use to gain quick information from our viewers when planning events. Jotform has made it easier to have forms sent in when entering events etc. All the information is at our finger tips. Pros The customisable features of enables users to get their content effectively to the viewer in a smart and easy to follow way. The whole viewing, recieving confirmation of completing the jotform and then getting data to analyse has become effortless when using jotform. Cons I feel a feature that is missing is the ability to add a document within the for viewers to download that may contain extra information about that particular part they are required to complete the form. Pros I love the fact that I can get detailed information about a client who may need my help and I can tell beforehand what problems they are encountering and if at all I can truly assist them. It gives the client room to be themselves and in a safe and quiet environment share details about their challenges or problems they want solved. The one in charge of setting up the survey can collect any and all useful information in advance that speaks to their being able to help or not.A lot of time is saved and especially in my line of business, it is helpful in giving me the ability to tailor my services exactly to what my client needs as the form helps me to know better whom I am serving. Drag and drop fields make building forms easy. Or, you can utilize one of dozes of pre-made (but fully customizable) templates available to JotForm users. The best part of JotForm to me, though, is how easy it is to access and search user input. I like the flexibility of being able to download reports in spreadsheet or PDF format. We use JF at my agency for other purposes and its fine but I'm really shocked at how poorly it is set up for creating surveys and for data visualization. For example, if you want to convert a survey that uses Likert sliders into a PDF, JF just deletes those questions instead of converting them to a standard Likert format. The form building is not intuitive. There is incorrect (or outdated) information on use in their self-help library and customer support is very hard to get. Pros For the purpose of research, even Google forms (which I hate) is better. Cons It's like they built this capability and never spoke with anyone who does actual real research. The form building options are not good. Data visualization is terrible. Customer support is terrible. I kind of wonder why they even offer a survey capability if it's going to be the worst on the market. It's versatile enough to be used as a contact form, or a detailed survey or questionnaire. No need to mess with HTML code either. Simply copy and paste and your form is available for others to use. I personally use Wordpress, and their WordPress integration is a game changer. Once you install the plugin, it connects to your JotForm account and will allow you to pull in any form you've created to display on your page. Cons Some advanced functions require a bit of tinkering to get right. For example, you can enable encryption for your forms, but make sure you keep the key you created. If you lose it, you will need to create a new form. This isn't a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of as you create your forms. I love that kind of has all the ideas I need and layouts in one place, so I can drag-and-drop and build it sort of from scratch, I often pick up new ideas from what they've provided in their template library as well. The clients think I'm smarter than I am!! As you'd expect you can change the type of survey with sliders and scales and multiple choice, there is a lot that can be done. You can also analyse this on the other side, the reports are pretty as well, in some cases I have screengrabbed and added directly to an internal report (saves me time making them!) I don't know much about data collection or the forms side in massive depth, but even from the small amount I use it I think it is a very valuable tool. Cons I haven't had any cause for complaint at all, I believe the package I am on is 100 free responses but the businesses I need find this is plenty for employee or small customer data set surveys.
