The forms are easy to create, easy to use, and look beautiful. Even a notice can build customized forms that can be added to nearly any website or page to collect information or files. As an author, I've used them for contests, newsletter signups, raffles, and ARC book requests. Support is done via a forum, but they are quick and usually extremely helpful. Cons For all it's perks, Jotform has sadly gone the way of many companies lately... all about the money. Prices were consistently increased while amounts of form entries were lowered. Suddenly they decided to start charging us just for form VIEWS as well, so those that had forms on our main page for newsletter signups had to move them to another part of our website, or run out just because people viewed our webpage. They quickly grew too expensive for small indie authors to use. When the nickel and diming got too much, I sadly had to move elsewhere. August 13, 2018 4.0 Pros Whenever a form is completed, the user receives an email and also can download a PDF or spreadsheet in which all the data entered through the form is updated. There is also a feature to save the form before submitting so that the user could return to it for filling the details later. Since there are a lot of drag-and-drop options, the job to create forms is not very hectic. Cons There is a limit set up over the available space. And also the number of forms that can be made also has an upper limit. The support team can be only approached through emails. They do not show any interest in solving the problems of the users. Zero customer service to even determine why our account was suspended. Pros It was free. What else do you want me to say? Cons The Google doc form that Jot Form eventually produced could have been produced through Google docs tools or templates. I wasn't impressed. What was worse, after spending an hour sending out our Jot Form sponsorship form to old and potentially new sponsors, I received an email from a potential sponsor saying that the Jot Form link didn't work. To my disbelief, Jot Form not only disabled our non-profit form but suspended our account - all without notice or explanation. We have never knowingly violated any terms of use on any site and even if done inadvertently, at least a warning or notice before or after the fact would be the professional response. If we exceeded our free usage, which is not likely, at least a pop up could give us an opportunity to upgrade. There was none. And then there was the Contact Form. After taking time to change our password and complete the contact form, you can only contact them if logged in. The login was blocked.Adding to the false claim of having 40 million users while having such basic issues, this platform is one I will avoid at all cost. Appearing to be completely unprofessional, we probably lost thousands in potential sponsorships. Reason for choosing Jotform It was free and had good reviews that I now wonder if they were sekf generated. The claim that is has 40 milliom users isnt even believeable. I use it to send and recieve client contracts for photography sessions. I'm able to upload a photo of my contract and then I add all of the questions I need answered into the jotform manually. I also use it to recieve signatures electronically and im able to make my questions a requirement to answer. Pros Jotform is easy to use. You can get five free forms at any given time. They plans are extremely affordable as well if you use it for business. Cons I'd like more image options. We will continue to use it over other products as the interface and email notifications suits our team set up. Pros Great program, with very customisable content allowing multiple purposes. Easy to swap and change the form template and didn’t take long to work out how to edit it without a tutorial. Cons Takes time to set up the form or find the closest template, once it is all up and running and glitches fixed it’s great. Can also be a delay with the emails coming through for completed forms we found in the trial stage. I also love how professional it looks compared to other online forms and how I am able to customize it to my look, desires, and needs. Cons The computations for if/then scenarios took a little longer than I would have liked and was a little more confusing, but customer service was really helpful in getting things sorted out for me.I also wish there was a way to customize some of the automatic form details such as "First and Last Name" to customize it to just "First Name".
