Jotform is designed to make it easy for users to quickly design their forms, test them and put them into production in very little time. Experienced users can create forms and push them into live mode in amatter of minutes. But Jotform really is thought for the unexperienced, non-programmer user who wants to design form applications and does not want to deal with any coding at all. The application works through an online interface/work area in which an empty space is filled with fields and texts that the user selects and drop until a form is created in the feel and manner of the user. Once the form is completed with fields and texts, the experienced user can copy the code that the application generates for him and past it in any website and the form will display in the manner it was design. You can make any modifications to form at the source, and the destination page in which the code was pasted will automatically update all the changes and modification made. The best feature of Jotform is that you can test it for free, they allow one of the best bargain in the market: 100 submission, 10 secure submission and 10 submission with payment, all for free. I have not seen this offered anywhere yet. The other great feature of Jotform is that you can get your collected data and take anywhere you want: Google spreadsheets, an SQL database or download to your local excel application. Perhaps the area in which Joftorm needs improvement is the way you sort the collected data in their severs, especially if you have data collected that needs to be validate by a human hand. Of course, this types of form are more more advanced, cuttingedge project. For the average form developer, Jotform is the perfect tool. Pros East drag and drop online form builder, with 100 submission, 10 secure submission and 10 submission with payment all for free. Owner Accounting Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Lack of features, overpriced, poor customer service" October 16, 2023 3.0 I have used JotForm for 2 years. They have a nice interface which may trick you into purchasing a subscription, but it's overpriced and lacking basic features. For example, I needed to have seperate links for one form, and there is no way! The workaround I used was a pain in the neck. Rather look for alternative with better features and lower pricing, there are a lot out there.Also, they lack proper customer service. Unfortunately my business closed due to unforseen circumstances right after renewing an annual subscription, so I asked for a refund. They refused to do so, because the 30 days have passed and they cannot do it "because it violates their terms and conditions" (in their words). Come on, every normal brain will understand that when closing a business there is a lot going on and canceling a subscription is not the first thing on top of the mind to deal with, but they don't care. "It violates their terms", so they are simply bound and unable to help, really. They act like the big tech company crushing the small person, but they are really the small one and not of much value to the world, and of course not for the prices they ask. Aside from the few cons they are more of an invaluable asset. Pros They have a massive template library barely having to start anything from scratch. You can generate forms using AI. They have forms that are integrated that are like a spreadsheet database with filters and tracking ability. Firefighter Public Safety Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great for Order Forms" September 17, 2019 4.0 JotForm is a great software for creating order forms, but with the fact that they don't advertise that they end up charging you once you reach a certain amount of orders in a month, I believe that this only deserves 4 stars. Just be careful and plan ahead to pay if you plan to get a lot of orders for your form. Pros This software is great for tshirt ordering campaigns. I have personally used it for 2 campaigns and it has made life much easier. With the ability to send orders to Google Sheets to organize them and the ability to use PayPal to accept credit and debit payments rather than having to attempt to collect cash and checks in person. Cons This software seems free at first, but as soon as you start getting a certain amount of orders in, you will quickly learn that you have to pay for having those additional orders. This software could also be organized a bit better as when you're editing your form, it can be difficult to get back to the home page. Reason for choosing Jotform JotForm seemed free at first, so I went with them to try and get my tshirt campaign off the ground. Departments can upload their own content but they were using incorrect names and file types. I created a form that validated this process. " July 3, 2018 4.0 I have enjoyed setting up a system which has saved me a considerable amount of time administering the membership system for our soccer club. I find the various features in the software easy to use and I like the ability to export to Excel. Pros I find it easy to use with pick lists, free format data entry fields, email & date checkers, email outputs which I can condition. I also like the flexibility to export data to Excel. It meets our needs for a paperless system for membership of our soccer club and it saves me time compared to our previous paper based system. I have found their support service to be excellent. Cons It's a bit of a challenge when you set up a form only to find later that the limits have been reduced but in my experience it's not been a show stopper and Jotform have helped me with workarounds. For users it is easy to use, it is very intuitive. Pros It is a very good tool to automate the process of sending and collecting data for internal satisfaction surveys and those that are sent to the client once each project in the company has been completed. It allows you to modify the CCS of each form, which allows you to customize it to the company's standards. You have a good option to generate the analysis reports of the survey result. It allows you to condition questions which makes it more versatile. It integrates with many applications and with the website of the company. Cons You need to have an option where using the option of individual choice you can repeat several fields on the same question, for example: add another study ?, by indicating that yes, I can request the same fields that I had already filled and saying no , move on to another question. It would be ideal to have an option that allows the user after completing the form, modify it at any time, this because there are forms in the company that must be updated (add more information to the one that was initially had). January 28, 2021 5.0 Overall, I recommend JotForm to anyone who is considering to utilize this platform. It is easy to use, has great features to offer and also collaborates with other platforms such as Google to help integrate responses into one cohesive page. JotForm can be used by a variety of audiences from students to businesses to help gather data for projects. Pros JotForms is an easy online platform that allows you to create forms for any event. I particularly love how there are many features on the website. There are plenty of templates that one can use, depending on what your needs are. For example, if you have a business and want to track your customers feedback, you can choose the "Customer Satisfaction Survey" template and it would populate all the things you can edit on the form. Another cool feature that I like is that you can integrate it with Google Forms which allows you to populate all the responses from the survey into one sheet. The best part is that Google Forms auto-saves these responses, and also tracks any changes that were made. There are other platforms that you can also integrate it with, such as Zoom and Slack, which are great sharing platforms as well. Cons If you have a lot of things to add onto the form, it can be a little laggy and slow to load. But if you're patient, and there's no rush for the form to made instantly, then it should not be an issue.
