Pros Having converted to virtual only services, I'm pleased with how well this works. Cons I had issues with what sounded like background noise that was not from myself or my client at times but those no longer seem to be there. During COVID it was essential to stay in contact with my patients and ply my trade (mental health counseling). DOXY became a lifeline to my patients and a job saver for me. Pros It has allowed me to work remotely without any noticeable decrease in the quality of service I can provide. In fact, my clients often comment that it feels as intimate and safe as in person psychotherapy, if not more so. I also like being more available on short notice to my clients, because I don't have to commute to an office or compete for office space as I formerly did in a group practice. Cons I live in a very rural area where internet connectivity can be an issue, particularly on very rainy or stormy days. There have been a few times when I've had to turn off the video and rely on audio only, and one occasion where I had to reschedule because I could not get a connection. Review Source LG Lexi G. My patients like it too! Pros Ease of use for me and my patients. Also a free version that works great. Cons Occasionally, connectivity isn’t the best. Re booting usually fixes the issue. Pros We are very happy with the ease of use for providers and clients. The video and sound have overall been very clear with little interruptions. Cons The cost for all users in our office is a concern. We do not know where the viral pandemic will take us in the months to come. In our area, it seems to be settling down, but we are still concerned about ongoing local and state governance of business related to the same. Switched from [Zoom Workplace](https://www.capterra.com/p/144037/Zoom-Video-Conferencing/) Found out that ZOOM was no longer HIPAA compliant. Plus, the cost for our clinic was going to skyrocket. Plus the fact that there were breaches in the platform and that some provider's sessions were accessible to other people, whether hackers or not... Patients are not familiar with this word and try to spell it all kinds of ways. Also, when using their phone, they don't always. have a forward facing camera, or get confused about how to get audio. In early 2020, our \[sensitive content hidden\] in Michigan shut down our state because of Covid. My business as a counselor needed to change very quick to go online, to meet the ongoing needs of my clients. Doxy was easy to set up and to use, and I have used it ever since. I have even seen clients from other states. So It helped me to continue to see people remotely, and continue my business during the crazy covid times. I still use it several times a week now. Pros easy for both me and my clients to usereliablefree version Cons I wish I could have the ability to have people from two different locations connect - but I use the free version, so that is not an option. Doxy.me has been the best and easiest one to use. Patients also like it. Pros I have been using Doxy.me since March 2020 due to COVID-19. I am a child and adolescent psychologist and I work with children, adolescents, and their parents. I have been successful using Doxy.me to meet continue meeting patient goals throughout the pandemic and beyond. I have resumed seeing patients in-person, but the platform continues to be useful for parents who have challenges obtaining child care for their appointments. The interface is very user friendly for both doctors and patients. Picture quality is mostly clear, depending on the internet connection on either side. Patients can easily log in to any device, including cell phones to meet with the doctor. It is HIPAA compliant! Cons I have one patient that I like to share my screen with and the free version does not offer screen share as an option. I purchased the professional version and have enjoyed using the screen share. My patient is 10 years old and she was able to figure out how to share her screen so that we could easily work together on her goals. The simple and intuitive way that it is able to apply your office's phone/caller ID is remarkable. Pros The ability to do private calling is above and beyond an invaluable feature. As a licensed mental health therapist, I had to quickly adapt to telehealth and technology. We are not almost 7 months in, and I noticed positive improvements with my calls. I sometimes experience audio or lagging issues, but not as much as since the start. I have also used the group calls and share screen features. For the group calls, not sure if it was Wifi connection on my patients' end but it was a little difficult to hear. The issue seemed to resolve better when headphones were used. Thank you Doxy.me for being a daily reliable method I can do therapy online! Pros The best feature of Doxy.Me is the single touch connectivity making it a seamless process. As a user, I like the quick and efficient way to send an email or text with the link to connect. Cons Patient queue can get distracting when you have someone logging in and out. It was simple to use professional and met HIPAA compliance. However since March 2020 the quality has suffered in regards to connectivity. I now have to use a second software program because I cannot rely on this one. This has been very disappointing for me Pros Clients don't need to download anything they just need a browser to log into. Simple-to-use features. HIPAA compliant. Cons Connectivity has compromised usage over the last six months. Making it unusable as an option for professional meetings with clients without interruption. Reason for choosing Doxy.me I preferred doxy. Me because of a confidentiality and affordability along with clients not needing to download anything. Pros Ease in set up and text, phone or email messaging. Cons Poor customer service access even for premium/paid service and frequent loss of service completely.
