Doxy.me allowed me to get an online Christian counseling and life coaching business off the ground when I did not have an appropriate place in my home with a home business to offer client services in person. My overall experience with Doxy.me has been excellent. I highly recommend the platform.

Pros

What I like most is its one-stop shop for everything. I can see clients, collect payments from clients, share and request documents, and so much more using Doxy.me.

Cons

Thus far, I have no complaints. Some of my clients are not too computer savvy though and struggle using the program.

I use Doxy for my waiting room needs and virtual office. My clients find it easy to access and has traveled with me well throughout North and Central American journeys (it doesn't require a giant Internet signal).

Pros

Doxy.me is an easy to use, HIPPA compliant (with BAA), free program. I love how easy it is to set up and send my own waiting room information to clients. They simply sign in and we are able to have a great quality video session with no cost to them or myself.

Cons

There really are no cons for this program. The free one is great for simple video and voice. If a person wants more features, pay for it. It's helpful and the additional features are well worth the price if you don't have another EHR platform that has those features. I have one set up already and just needed a video platform, for me it works great!

Occasionally wifi is bad and the call freezes or drops but I like that it shows where the error is (my side or client's side)

Pros

I love how easy it is to send a link to my clients, and for them to feel at ease at being in my waiting room before seeing me for their session. It is more user friendly for clients than any other program I have used.

Cons

Sometimes audio or visual are interrupted by my client receiving an incoming call on their smart phone. At such times, we may need to restart the call to overcome the audio challenges.

Doxy.me is easy to use, without my clients having to install additional software or an app on their computer., plus they can save the link to their favorite for easy access.

Cons

If client is using the software on their cellphone and they receive a call, it will interrupt the session by either interfering with their mic or occasionally causing them to have to disconnect & rejoin the session.

The most that i benefited from was being able to make appointments with my doctor. And get medication when i couldn't make it into the office

Pros

It is very easy to use. Very convenient. I have never had any issues with this software. The audio, live chat, and appointment scheduling is the best.

Cons

I have no complaints ! This software is something i would recommend to everyone.

Positive. I used this to start my telehealth practice and save a lot of money over paying for integrated EHRs or Zoom Workplace with BAA.

Pros

Free and HIPAA-compliant, thisis ideal for starting telehealth practice. It was easy to have the same link and waiting room.

Cons

Felt out-dated in appearance/layout. No screen recording/sharing when I was using it a few years ago.

I do not have any problems . Once in a while I may get disconnected as the call drops, or I lose audio but it is not frequent.

Pros

It is simply and very easy to use, and calls do not drop often or you don't lose audio often.

This is easy to use, easy to set up and my clients have not had trouble trying to get in, no need to download an app. Very user friendly

Cons

Does not have a Calendar , I am a muti-state therapist, and it would be nice to see my clients I will have in a calendar , instead of going to back Calendar book, which I may not have with me when a potential client calls, if I am not in my office.

I have always heard of Doxy me and I had a former college when she started her private practice used it and recommended it. When I started my online private practice this year, I choice to use Doxy.me. I am glad I did.

It has been a life-saver in that half our visits on any given day may be done remotely.

Pros

This allows us to see far more patients without them crowding in to an actual waiting room For the most part connections and quality have been good. It is easy to direct patients to our waiting room. You can send a chat message to one person in the waiting room while talking to another. Our practice logo can appear nicely on the landing page.

Cons

Occasionally it take a minute for the outgoing sound to connect, although I can hear the people on the other end.

I am grateful to have access to a simple-to-use, free, HIPAA-compiant platform.

Pros

I've been using doxy.me for about a year, but during the coronavirus shelter in place order, being able to offer HIPAA-compliant telehealth is a lifesaver. I use doxy's free version, which is totally adequate for my needs as a solo practitioner. It's incredibly user-friendly for my clients.

Cons

The tech isn't perfect, but it's dependable and absolutely adequate, even during times of extreme internet usage in my area. The picture can get degraded or there are occasional lags in speech, but nowhere near the problems I used to have with Skype.

The ability to use a free HIPAA compliant virtual website in my supervising residents working towards licensure as counselors because my state allows virtual Clinical Supervision.

Pros

I was happy to find out about doxy.me at an ethics conference for counselors because doxy.me will sign a BAA to maintain confidentiality, unlike Skype or FaceTime. That allows me to meet virtually with my residents and to discuss confidential client information. I also am very happy that doxy.me has a free version for someone like me who is retired and only needs a few hours a month of access to see my residents. It was extremely easy to start with doxy.me, easy to sign the BAA, and easy to use. It also allows a simple way of access for my residents to come into my "waiting room." Additionally there are very few glitches in using the software, i.e. the video and sound are almost always perfect. And customer support is always ready to help. I have recommended doxy.me multiple times to colleagues including adding the website information to a bi-monthly newsletter article I write for my local counselor association.

Cons

I truly can't think of anything I don't like!

Pros

Doxy.me is very easy to set up, and my clients just click the same link to enter my virtual "waiting room" when it's time for their appointment. There are easy, intuitive features such as mic on/off, video on/off, screen share, and file transfer. I appreciate that it's HIPPA compliant.

Cons

The cost is a little much for a paid plan, when I consider that I could be using Zoom for free... but people are "Zoomed out" and I like the professional/healthcare design. Sessions are difficult when the video is glitchy - but that is probably more of a function of users' wifi more than anything. Doxy seems to compensate well when there are glitches.
