Maybe if I upgraded I would find everything runs smoothly. I don't know. Pros I am not paying anything, so I can't be too critical. It's easy to explain to client; easy for client to link into waiting room. When everything connects, it works fine. It's just not reliable. Cons I am a little anxious throughout the sessions because I have had so many audio or video freezes, pixalization, slow downs, jerks, disconnects, involuntary refreshes etc. Sometimes these strike during a key emotional moment in a therapy session. It's always quite disruptive and irritating for client and me. Once you experience this fairly often, you worry constantly it will disrupt your engagement. My email is from a .org and the system automatically added a .com after my email. A service rep got back to me within 24 hours, in spite of the number of people trying to get a teletherapy platform up and running on short notice. I felt this was amazing! Pros I have used Doxy.me M-F since early April 2020 due to working in a contract position with local schools. I have found the system easy to use and have had very few issues other than homes where the internet service was slow or multiple apps were open on an individual phone. (I work in a rural setting.) I have been pleased with the customer service I have received as an individual utilizing this platform and would like to upgrade when I am able, especially if distanced PT services remain necessary. Cons I wish the free version had screen share or a good way to print my schedule in a daily format BUT for free service of high quality I am essentially pleased with all this company has had to offer! There are some nice features in the upgrade like multiple connections and (they say) higher processing speed. If I continue doing video counseling after corona, I may invest in the upgrade. Doxy is a good system. Pros Doxy.me is easy to set up. It is also easy for my clients to click the link and be connected. Cons Early on there were occasional sound distortions. That has not happened tome in months. As long as I and the client have a stable internet connection it works well. I have had a few instances of visual pixilation, but I believe it was the internet connection of the client. Reason for choosing Doxy.me I chose Doxy because I have other systems in place for recording notes and billing. I only needed to be able to conduct HIPAA compliant online sessions. The other softwares were not as easy to use (I did try to use them), and pushed their bundled service (which I did not need or want). Doxy.me is perfect for my needs. Review Source GG Gerald G. I recommend without reservation. Pros Doxy.me is very user friendly for both the clinician and patient. Most of the time, no downloads are required, which is a huge plus. Also, the free plan is extremely functional. I highly recommend this product. Cons occasionally there are minor call quality issues, but the majority of the time, it has worked well for me and my patients. Pros The software is easy to use - both myself and my clients, it works well 85% of the time, and the other 15% it either improves while on the call or at worst, we still have audio. This is generally with clients who have tried to do sessions from their vehicles. Cons In a previous program, I liked that clients could leave me text messages via the portal. While this is a viable option while on with a client, I have not seen a way to do this with clients not on the portal. Switched from [VSee Clinic](https://www.capterra.com/p/158468/Cloud-Clinic/) I was having a lot of issues with the video working on VSee and video calls dropping. I can do brief meetings on there or an entire 1 hour session. Pros This program is wonderful for meeting with clients online for therapy or coaching. I love the feature that lets people wait in a virtual "waiting room" until you are ready. The connection is clear and crisp and the audio is great. Cons I use the free version and I tried the paid version and didn't find it to be a good value. I wish I could record sessions to look back on them with the client. I have 2 practices, thus I can use custom forms for my dietitian practice, and then also have my therapist practice. I can create 2 users (both me) so that when I give superbills with codes, clients can get the reimbursement they need. Cons I used the credit card program, which I love, and it is very easy to use; however, I do not like how they take out the charges separately as it is harder to manage and keep track. This platform is easy to use and easy for clients to log into. Because of Doxy.me, I have been able to continue my job when many others have not. When things get back to "normal" and I am able to go back to doing in home visits, I plan to keep my Doxy.me account for other times in which I am not able to make it to homes (ie snow, bedbugs, etc). Wonderful platform to help me work with families.
