LPC Mental Health Care Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great option for Telehealth" April 1, 2020 5.0 I use Doxy on a weekly basis for counseling and it has been a nice transition away from the office. Clients can use it on their phone or a computer. Pros Doxy is easy to use for me the counselor and for clients. I love that they don't have to create yet another password or account... just type their name and wait in the virtual waiting room. I can see the signal strength of the client and can chat with them if needed. Cons I haven't found any true cons for Doxy.me. Even though I have a fairly good wi-fi signal at my home, it still had problems and many clients could not connect at all because they did not have a good signal. Pros The program was easy to use and once on, it looked professional. The price was also very good compared to others. Cons I could no longer connect on my computers and so I had to speadily find an alternative to see clients and have meetings thru telehealth. Pros I find Doxy.me very easy to use. Instructions are straight forward. I have tried other telehealth companies and they are not as user friendly as Doxy.me. I also like the waiting room aspect where I was able to load my own photos for the client's enjoyment while waiting. Cons In the beginning of use, working out any kinks until comfortable using it. Cons The whiteboard could be better and I wish I could give other people control of my screen -- but maybe it already has those things and I don't know how to use them right. Having some sort of built in signature capacity would be life changing. Both therapists and client appreciate how easy it is to use and as a company we do appreciate the high value for the money. Its important that it is HIPPA compliant and very easy to use. Cons We have some patients that only speak spanish, it would have been nice to have more than just the doctor and patient on the video. Could be better in relation to presentation. Pros I liked that it was easy to use, easy to set up. Cons The editing facility for the waiting room area is a bit primitive. I would prefer a better choice of layout, media, more like a webpage, with drill-down facilities even. Pros I really like Doxy, it’s easy to use, I very rarely have any issues, I know that it is HIPPA protected so I feel safe talking to my clients online. I really like the flexibility of being able to use it if a client can’t come into session or if I’m at home I need to talk to a client. Cons I have found that the app is a bit less reliable but since I’ve been using it through Safari it has been fine. I wish that I could customize my homepage a little bit more and have some more options there but otherwise I think it’s great. Cons Nothing to complain about. sometimes the connection can be difficult but I believe that has to do with my client's connection rather than Doxy. Not sure Doxy can do anything about that.
