### "Good platform for Telehealth use"

June 2, 2021

4.0

I am grateful that the use of this platform has allowed me to continue running my private practice during the pandemic.

Pros

The privacy, ease of use for both the provider and the client, and the customized virtual waiting room make this a helpful platform to use for Telehealth appointments.

Cons

The need for strong internet connection can be problematic for some clients, especially those who live in remote areas. This impacts the quality of the call.

Reason for choosing Doxy.me

I chose doxy.me because of the assurance of it being a privacy secure platform and the ease of use.

### "Great Solid Product!"

Easy to use and set up. A lot easier than Zoom.

Pros

It was easy to setup and use. All my staff can use it. My patient's love it.

Cons

Not much. It's a great product. I with they had a change background feature like Zoom. Other than that it has been a workhorse.

### "Reliablility"

April 8, 2024

5.0

Overall, I am satisfied and plan to continue to use Doxy.me for my practice within a bigger practice.

Pros

I depend on Doxy Me for virtual appointments with clients. The dependability, the notification when a patient is connected and in the waiting room, and the cost per month are all very important layers of rapport between healthcare providers as well as the service provider.

Cons

The only issue I have encountered of late is the connectivity with patients who may be using older equipment but was able to use it on the same equipment just a couple months prior to the connectivity issues.

### "Great HIPAA compliant option! User friendly on both ends."

July 8, 2018

4.0

Low cost, user-friendly, HIPAA compliant option

Pros

I love how easy it is for me to use as a clinician and clinical supervisor and how easy it is for my clients to use as well. There's no learning curve involved on the client side, as far as I have experienced so far. I utilize Doxy.me for clinical supervision and for therapy sessions with clients. Telehealth is a great option for people for a variety of reasons (transportation, location, family responsibilities, etc.). The video/call quality is fairly decent and stays connected about 90% of the time.

Cons

The video/call quality is pretty good, but calls have been dropped several times. I like having the "call test" option. Do clients have this also? I feel like maybe some of the call quality is affected by the user and not the platform. I have found myself looking at the subscription many times but always deciding that I just cannot justify the cost. Even the basic subscription is a little too high for me. I would hate to have to increase client fees because my overhead increased significantly.

Hi! Thank you so much for the feedback! As far as the call quality, have you checked in with our support team? We would be happy to schedule a test call to see why calls are being dropped. Clients can take the call test if they are in your waiting room. If you are interested in the paid version email support@doxy.me

### "The one easy thing I don't have to worry about"

September 15, 2021

5.0

I am able to easily and safely connect with my clients during a health epidemic. My clients can join the appointment from their own home, and we can have a very successful session over the doxy.me video.

Pros

I love that this is free and that is links up with my EHR, Luminello. When I am scheduling a new appointment for a client, I simply check that it is a virtual appointment and it automatically links to my doxy.me account. Doxy.me is the one easy thing in my life that I don't have to worry about. It functions easily and perfectly for HIPAA video calls and I love that it is free.

Cons

It works off of wi-fi so if my connection or my client's connection is faulty, then it causes issues with connectivity. However, this has not been an issue for me very often.

### "Can't get customer help to improve technical difficulties. "

March 22, 2020

3.0

see above

Pros

It's easy to use. That's it at this time. nnnnnnnn

Cons

I have been getting a horrible connection since about mid month. It has interfered with my ability to connect with my clients. The video freezes, the audio and video fall out of sync. I have used the troubleshooting options in the articles by other users. I have tried using a new computer and even a different internet connection. I am very disappointed because I have been paying for this monthly for well over a year and have been able to use it with no problems on a less frequent basis. Now that I need to use it daily because of the COVID - 19 Crisis, it is not working well. I cannot schedule a call for support because there are no spaces available. I have not been able to get any help. I am at the point of cancelling my service and trying something new as it is imperative that I am able to video conference with my clients. I am really hoping to get some help and support.

### "Excellent experience with Doxy.me"

January 4, 2022

5.0

Doxy.me has been responsive to the needs of the users/operators. Doxy.me fixes problems as soon as possible. The platform is wonderful, easy to use and meets my needs better than a lot of other platforms.

Pros

The inexpensive cost, friendly, easy usability combined makes this software great.

Cons

At first when COVID-19 first started it had glitches and would crash a lot.

### "First rate product"

March 29, 2023

5.0

Patients find it easy to use and are comfortable with this telehealth service.

Pros

Doxy is easy to access and always delivers excellent audio and visual access. Reliability is critical for delivering good care via telehealth.

Cons

A very quick alert appears on my screen when a patient enters the room. I'd prefer that the alert would not disappear in a second since it can be missed. If it were to stay on the screen for 5-10 seconds, it remedy this issue.

### "Free and Easy - over the years"

January 25, 2024

5.0

Pros

I've relied on Doxy for years. I chose it early on because it was free and HIPAA compliant. I have intended to switch to another platform that I pay for, but Doxy is consistent and easy to use - both for me and my clients - on any device, so I have not made the move.

Cons

I have no complaints. The free version does not include texting clients, so I use email, but I that is not a significant limitation for me.

### "Very happy Provider"

September 11, 2021

5.0

Very pleased with Doxy.me and highly recommended it!

Pros

As many of my Healthcare Colleagues after March 2020, we were forced to plunge into the virtual world of Telehealth. The ease of use for myself and my Clients was remarkable! While I do not use all of the features, the most critical one, seeing and communicating with my Clients, has been reliable and safe. The feature I most like is that when there is a technical glitch, the team is very quick to communicate the issue and response/resolution time is relatively very quick and effective.

Cons

The features that I am currently not using.

### "Doxy.me is great!"

March 23, 2023

5.0

I appreciate having Doxy.me available to use. I have used the free version and the monthly subscription version. Both are so helpful!

Pros

It's HIPAA compliant, easy to use, has a wait room, is more consistently accessible then others I have used. It is more dependable then the one on our EHR.

Cons

Once in a great while the system won't work - either audio is delayed or video freezes.

### "Virtual Platform Made for Consumers"

December 17, 2020

3.0

I used Doxy.me when I began seeing therapy clients virtually. It helped as many individuals were able to receive the link either via email or text, thus, they could easily connect and continue engaging in sessions. It is easy to host individual or group sessions when the application is running properly. However, at times the application was very lagged and would drop sessions without notification, resulting in taking more time to reconnect on multiple occasions. It was used in a larger organization and seems to continue evolving as the needs are met of workplaces.

Pros

Doxy.me is made for consumers as they do not have to download anything to utilize the software. Consumers simply click a link that is either emailed or texted to them, making it easy to connect. You can host single sessions or groups. You can send a link directly from the application to consumers without using your email, which aids in maintaining confidentiality. You can also submit forms for the consumer to see and sign on their end, which makes it hassle free and aids in lost paperwork.

Cons

Doxy.me does not always seem to have a stable connection, resulting in lots of dropped sessions. If either the user or the consumer does not have a good internet connection, it may result in blurry and lagging pictures may be blurry or simply dropped connections. If you are hosting a group with another user, only one individual may be the host which can become frustrating as you are attempting to let consumers into the room, mute others if needed, and host at the same time. If you are required to confirm physical location of consumers, there is an option to see where they are located, however, it was not always accurate and would list individuals in other cities/states.

### "User-friendly system utilized for telehealth "

March 18, 2022

5.0

Doxy.me has allowed me to utilize telehealth in a user-friendly, intuitive, and high quality way. I have not once had any issues during my experiences using doxy.me.

Pros

I love the ease of use with doxy.me. It was very intuitive to use from the start. Using the waiting room prior to my appointment allows me to log in early and notify my provider that I am available.

Cons

The one thing I wish this software could do is add more than 2 people to the video chat. It may just not be a function my provider uses, but if I were able to allow 3 or more people to join the meeting at once that would be extremely helpful.

### "Easy to use and reasonably priced"

January 19, 2023

5.0

Pros

The fact that I can use Doxy unlimited free of charge is really important to me as a very small business. Other video conferencing software is more expensive without offering significantly better facilities. Being web-based means I don't need clients to download software before we can connect. I also like that it's designed for healthcare which reassures my clients about privacy.

Cons

I wish I could share screen on the free version, but it's not a showstopper. Occasionally we have connection problems but that's usually the internet connection not Doxy.

Alternatives considered

### "Simply put "

July 14, 2020

3.0

Doxy.me has been the most helpful accessible, easy to navigate, HIPAA compliant softwares that I have used, the picture quality and sound are pretty reliable and it is absolutely worth it to upgrade to the professional setting if you are using Telehealth daily.

Pros

This software is easy to use for the clinician and for clients alike. This software has many great capabilities and even gives you the option to have the professional version for a small fee. The best part of this software is that it gives the ability to have group sessions, which is particularly helpful during covid for family sessions where a member of the family is out of the home. This feature is only available in the professional setting ( $30/mo) which honestly is 1$ a day.

Cons

I believe this software can be better, at certain times there is a rush of people using the software where I have noticed it to crash. Usually during mid-day I have a little bit of difficulty connecting to clients but eventually it works. It would also be helpful to me if there was some sort of log for outreach, like if a text message or email is sent and at what time, how many times, so that it can be logged and there can be a paper trail. Also if there was a way that outreach can be preset and sent out at specific times it would be extremely helpful.

### "Love My Doxy Me!"

September 27, 2022

Using Doxy Me has really reduced patient resistance to trying tele-health - they literally only have to click a link to come to session. Once they use it, they are pleasantly surprised how easy it is.

Pros

Very ease to use for both practitioner and patient The user interface looks great and we're able to customize with our own logo and photos, etc. Customer service is always timely and responsive.

Cons

The group call feature is limited to 8 users and it would be nice to have it be able to host more for larger group prposes like a case conference.

Reason for choosing Doxy.me

Easier to use for patients and providers.

### "Critically needed when shifting to all telehealth due to COVID shutdown"

October 26, 2021

4.0

If it had not been for Doxy we would not have been able to implement going to all virtual appointments last March. They helped us keep seeing clients in a very short period of time. The learning curve was almost non-existent. Great software.

Pros

Easy to use for therapist and client. Same login so clients know how to log on each time. Free features have been very helpful as I run a very large practice - 24 clinical staff.

Cons

Occasionally there are connection issues with the free version that I use. However, they have continually improved this to meet the demand created by COVID. There are a few features that I would like, but I can access those by using the paid version.
