### "A very good decision I am still proud of"

Difficult. I like it! Had some experience with Workdays in the company before and was at the beginning a kind of sad that little business has not the budget for such software. But now I am even happier because Personio not only is quiete as good - it is even better for small business purpose because it's less complex and allowes to stremline processes better for our needs.

Pros

It's HR Software with service for every employee, managers etc. - and so what I like most is, that nearly everybody likes to use it though we did not have much training effort. Big benefit (usualy) is as well, that Personio has an ongoing development nad gets even better every month.

Cons

Some "improvements" - especially in design - are not really steps forward but seem to complicate work - but usually respective suggestions are heared and drawn into account.

Reason for choosing Personio

Originally becasue Personio was the only Provider with servers lokated in Germany (it was the time of the new data protection rules). And it was real SAS while one of the other products (the European one) would have to be customized with big effort (and costs)...

### "Easiest to implement HR tool "

We implemented Personio as Serdar Plastik's first core HR tool. Applicant & personnel management, payroll, employee forms and surveys, and approval flows were all shifted into the system in a short amount of time. It was very easy to set up on the IT side, but a bit harder to implement across the organization due to a lack of support documentation. But once we had it up and running:- It saved our HR team hundreds of hours from having to push papers around- Reduced human error - Provided us a more objective way to evaluate applicants- Increased our data integration abilities

Pros

It supports advanced automations which is fantastic because:1. The system largely eliminates human error and doesn't cause our HR staff a lot of issues.2. The data is sent over to our other tools very smoothly.

Cons

English support is a bit lacking. Also, there are recurring performance issues in the applicant management dashboard. We submitted a ticket but the issue wasn't solved for a couple months

### "Missing features, unhelpful customer support, no room for error"

very negative, started ok, but worsened over time- support is very bad - just "here is a link and read about it on our helpdesk page" - there is not time for that- had to push to even get in touch with my account manager- no notification on automatic ANNUAL renewal - this i find very unfair; if we are locked in for another full year and still need to renegotiation the conditions, would expect a call well in time so we can decide to cancel- issues with vacation day calculations

Pros

european based company, fairly easy to navigate

Cons

customer support is very unhelpful, the tool is immature, there are a lot of logic mistakes - e.g. no room for error - if you mess up, you cannot correct it, you need to delete the whole user.

They also have a decent amount of workflows that you can build to automate your processes. Easy to set language you prefer the tool to work in. You can handle proper review cycles, a product still in development but may have a fairly promising future.

Pros

They are constantly developing and holding the end user in mind fairly well. For the German Market they are very adequate and they can handle complex payrolling and the different bureaucratic administrative requirements in German labour and law.

Cons

They sometimes lack specific localisation such as Netherlands holiday allowance. You need to buy extra entities if you fully want to embrace international.

Pros

Simple uncomplicated work management app. I love the fact that they made it easy and focused on just what i need to request holidays, view my work documents, request reimbursements and everything related to my employment.

Cons

There could be other features for adding quarterly reviews and some reporting to enhance performance review just like some competitors.

Easy to use tool - widely accepted through the company, also for all entities and countries. Needs little to no onboarding from user side.

Pros

Time submission, absentee, vacation, leave mgmt all in one place. Nice visualization for org structures and easy to self service for employees

Cons

Document management such as reference letters are difficult to handle, little automation to write and create.

Excellent. Clear, chic interface. Also great to have the photos so you know people within the organisation immediately. Easy to edit and request changes with HR.

Pros

It is very intuitive. I also love the dashboard that gives you a clear overview of the info you need.

Cons

I sometimes get confused when the absences are limited to the year (ie overcarried absences arent subtracted from the total).

Pros

I was easy to keep an overview over what still needed to be done, it made the onboarding and offboarding process very easy

Pros

Personio has nice and clean aesthetics which I appreciate.

As Personio is a well-known tool I expect a bit more user-friendly interface and expect more innovative features

We were very happy with how Personio was able to boost our HR work. I only used it myself when managing the HR tasks of my department, so I'm not familiar with some of the modules. But the ones I was able to use, I was very satisfied with the automated workflows, report tools, data syncing, and all the other stuff they offer.

Pros

The onboarding module was a treat to use for our marketing dept. It's easy to assign and monitor each step within the onboarding flow. The automated assignments and reports are also a great addition

Cons

The advanced field options for the course assignments are very limited. There really isn't much advanced logic other than basic if conditionals

I believe that Personio really helps us to become a better company on the operational side of things. Also, they really listen to what you have to say. Personio is under constant development and since it is a SaaS product, new and useful features will pop up all the time as part of your SaaS plan.

Pros

I like the UI. Most of it is self-explanatory and specific topics can also be found by entering a search term, for instance "notification", into a Google type search window. Personio's implementation team has some really bright people who understand what your needs are. I think we had 6 video calls over a period of six weeks. They help companies with the implementation because a lot can go wrong: users getting to little or too many access rights, workflows not defined properly, data not imported correctly etc.

Cons

Sometimes there are global system outages. Also, synchronisation with the Outlook calendar is a bit bumpy.

All in all our company is very satisfied with Personio. Especially to emphasize is the very friendly customer service. Personio takes care of the needs and problems and tries to improve continuously. Furthermore we have to highlight that the bugs we had to deal with became much less.

Pros

Compared to other software for HRM, it is very easy to understand and to handle for the whole company with a great interface and all useful functions you need for a good HR management, including a safe data protection which is very important. It is well structured and helpful for the preparatory payroll (incl. time tracking of working students etc). The Customer Support is always friendly, fast and helpful- until now we have never had a negative experience. Great price-performance ratio. From recruiting-side, a big plus is that you can easily customize the evaluation forms. In general, Personio develops the software continuously and implements new helpful functions. (+introductions via little webinar's).

Cons

Sometimes the reports are not correct or have bugs. For the recruiting area, there is still some room for improvement, for example, the integration with outlook. Although it has become much less, there are still every now and then bugs which sometimes effects the communication with the candidate negatively.

As a practitioner in HR it's a core tool in all the day to day activities such as attendance performance,payroll , time sheet and employees welfare , it's been of great assistance in this.

Pros

It has streamlined administration activities by the HR by simply tracking all the projects and tasks as well as employees performance in one place. Improved transparency in employment and pay roll. Integration with many systems at our disposal made it even more reliable.

Cons

It had a great return on investment and achieved almost all the objectives expected and so I'm thrilled by it's performance.

On the whole very satisfied. The tool covers our complex requirements very well. Feedback is processed quickly. Personio develops quickly which is mostly positive. Sometimes there are smaller obvious errors with releases. We use the SW over 3 countries. This works quite well. Partly one notices, that it was primarily developed for the German market (e.g. with withdrawals and holidays adaptations). Otherwise, it is a great relief for us compared to the many manual processes we had before. It requires relatively little to no instruction effort for the employees. We have only adapted the presentation of Personio and handed it over to the employees and this works well. Many things can be configured so that you also have control over the data that is captured.

Pros

It can be easily configured. The fast implementation. Good and fast customer service. All inquiries are answered within 24 hours (weekdays) and 80% of inquiries are resolved within 24 hours. Usually within 6 hours. The software is constantly evolving and is becoming even more customer-friendly.

Cons

Partly the red thread through the SW is missing. For example, the date can only be recorded with 24/12/2019 at one location while it must be recorded with 24.12.2019 at another location. There are newer reports, especially in recruiting, where the figures are not correct. Further input fields do not always correspond to the same logic. So you have to be careful in the salary area if you overwrite a number in the salary field, an additional "0" is added. Just some small things.

Love it! The Sales Manager and Implementation Manager were very helpful

Pros

The software is easy to use and all the most important aspects of HR can be portrayed in Personio. All employee data can be stored there safely. Also, Personio provides helpful webinars and lots of additional materials such as document templates, employee surveys, and best practices for any topics which are very helpful.

Cons

The Recruiting part is maybe a bit less intuitive compared to other software that specialize in Recruiting

all colleagues have an overview about their personal data and HR documents, they can see the absence of the team members (even with a exchange with our team calender) and the administration of holidays is quite easy.

Pros

It's really easy to use and implement the tool. And I really like the support material - you can find very good articles about each topic and question and if I cannot find the answer there - I get quick help from the support team

Cons

some features are only provided on the basic level - but telling it to the support can help, one of my issues is now solved and a new standard in the protfolio. but it would be great to have the possibility to set a date when I want to send a message to a applicant.

Pros

It has become a regular part of my job. I clock in using Personio and it is very simple and straight forward. I can add multiple breaks in my daily hours log. All my information is stored at one place, and i got notification if any of my credential is expiring soon. The onboarding section and Vacation management modules are very handy.

Cons

It could be a little tricky sometimes for new users to get a hold of it, other than that, I dont have any complaints.

Actually, as a fast-growing company 2 years ago, we were just looking for a recruiting solution and found Personio. Already during the two-week test phase we had all our employees with many individual attributes live on their own and only on the basis of the educational Videos. We now have a vast variety of templates so we can do a lot of manual work more efficiently through Personio and focus on strategic HR topics. And this, although we do not use some features because they do not fit our processes, such as Performance or payroll.

Pros

Ease of use Excellent UI Great flexibility with templating, Attributes etc. Automatisation of the Recruiting Process Highly efficient

Cons

No Datev interface Many of our suggestions were received as feature requests, without feedback and without implementation Many new developments, especially in recruiting, have not led to an improvement, but have taken the clarity

Pros

\- As we were one of the early adopters, we got personio for quite a cheap rate - There was no tool that was as comprehensive and could be used without GDPR issues - It saves a lot of time vs. our setup before, which was Excel

Cons

\- There are a few open requests from our side regarding more flexible reportings - There is an obvious bug in the dashboard that just doesn't get solved (always shows that "everyone is in the office today")
