My experience has been great with OnSIP. They have exceptional customer service I've received exactly what I needed each time. I have a personal coach who checks in with me every so often to ensure that things are going good as well. I highly, highly recommend using this cost effective service for your at home business!

Pros

I love that I can now add business lines into my home office for a fraction of the cost of doing it through the local phone company and I have clear crisp phone service. Everytime I have needed customer service I have had an excellent experience and they have taken care of each issue with great care and speed getting me back online and going again quickly. With my home office phone I can have up to 4 lines (depending on the phone you can have many more) and I can tell which is ringing so I know how to answer properly and helps me to be more professional. So, so much easier than having my cell phone ring all the time.

Cons

It doesn't have a texting feature, I just use Google Voice to get this feature it just means that I have to have 2 seperate numbers for my business.

Manageable Learning Curve While some advanced call-flow features take a little time to understand, the documentation is excellent. Once you learn the layout, everything becomes second nature. Strong Security Encrypted communications and solid authentication give real peace of mind. It’s clear OnSIP actively prioritizes security across the platform. Outstanding Phone Support Their support team is fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. You get real humans who know the system and actually fix things—no endless waiting or scripted answers. Flexible Call Management Auto attendants, call groups, routing options, and voicemail features work smoothly and reliably. Customizing complex call flows is straightforward. Stable With Few Bugs Problems are rare, and when they do appear, OnSIP is quick to resolve them and communicates clearly about fixes. Cons

The Mobile feature is not perfect. It would be nice to call an extension and see if the person was available insted of instantly tranferring. Aslo, the mobile ringtone. It's obnoxious. Ringtone options would be good

We have been using the OnSIP product for over 10 years and have yet to outgrow its features. Very pleased with its consistent performance

Pros

It works consistently, this is critical of any communications tool. You can setup and forget and when you have need of another feature it is fairly simple to implement. If you have any trouble the tech support personnel are outstanding and patient.

Cons

I do have trouble at times installing the updates. They are not too frequent but I usually have to try multiple times to get an update installed.

While I realize the variation of internet providers plays into some issues, I would like the people who work from home to have more reliable service. The often have to log out and login again to keep their ONSIP working remotely. We also have issues with transferring calls/often needing to hang up and give it a second try.

OnSIP is incredibly reliable and easy to use. Call quality is consistently clear, and the system is simple to manage, even without advanced technical knowledge. The customer support team is responsive and knowledgeable, which makes a big difference when questions come up.

I've had good experience with OnSip. Any question I have is always answered and they don't rush you off the phone, they seem eager to make the experience positive.

Pros

Very user friendly company. Helpful over the phone. They answer when you call, a live person, eager to help.

web app a little confusing. some technical things I don't get and may never. Totally wish they had better selection of music on hold.

We have been with onsip for a decade as soon as we moved to VOIP and it has been great.

Pros

Great customer service for our VOIP service. Ease of service to use with desktop voip phones. You are never going to get this level of help from a huge corporation.

Cons

Voicemail transcription to email and text response to calls from voicemail interface not part of current package.

OnSIP is great to work with. They are always there to help out and get something resolved. We have implemented several installations with them and the ease of use is amazing! Being able to setup the entire install from my desk before we go is also a very solid plus.

Pros

I have used OnSIP now for several years. In that time I have had very few issues that weren't my fault. In those times, the customer support team is right on it with their help, even those times it was my fault, they still helped very quickly. As well, the service is very easy to use, the quality of the interface is spectacular and implementation process was simple. I can't say enough about OnSIP and how great of a company they are. The best part is our clients get a great product at half the cost of some of their competitors.

Cons

Ring tone assignment isn't available, which is a very small issue but it did effect us in a small way. Other than that I can't think of anything.

Reason for choosing OnSIP

As said above, ease of use and pricing. The almighty dollar speaks volumes!

I use onSIP for multiple businesses, not just multiple locations. and I can't see any reason to move or change. The monthly costs are reasonable and the support is wonderful.

Pros

The customer support is terrific. The ease of administrating the system via the web is straightforward and comprehensive.

Cons

When we've used the mobile app, it is a little clunky; frankly, you can get the same functionality, IMHO with a rollover to your mobile phone.

Pros

Simple to use and configure, inexpensive and very reliable.

Cons

The interface is a little clunky. Each feature is a separate set up. They are simple, but it would be nice to have them all in one process. OnSIP does not offer a storage service for call recordings.

I havent had any real difficulties with onsip except for defination of terms. i.e VM vs Outgoing message. which to me is the same . so had a difficult time trying to explalin we didnt want a message thatcallers could leave a message on

CS support would be biggest reason for choosing onsip. CS staff is alwasy polite and patient in describing or instructing system operation

Cons

accessibility and knowledge-base of the system. I was not on the installation project of this system and dont know if I would have chosen this system as a library phone system

Pros

We transitioned from AT&T landlines to ONSIP years ago. We save an amazing amount of money and we’re fully supported during the implementation/conversion. We paid for all the phones/expenses in the first years savings alone.

Tech support is responsive

Pros

We have a lot of seats but not a ton of minutes usage. Traditional per-seat pricing would be cost prohibitive, but onsip's model is great and gives all of our employees options for communication.

Cons

I wish the soft phone had different admin dashboard reporting when the person was "online" vs "offline".The phone app for our receptionist position only had a global DND option. Wish it had a DND the mobile app but still function through the traditional physical phone.

Good company just very expensive

Pros

Dependable service - phones never go down. Also I have found Tech support is quite good. Some Tech suppt people such as Rochel have been superb!

Cons

The cost is very high. I only have two VOIP telephones. Yet the minimum monthly fee with the minutes of telephone use that I pay for I spend over $100 per month! Comparable service for two VOIP lines is about $50 per month total.

To be honest, we find ourselves using Microsoft Teams for most internal calls, and even some customer calls. Users otherwise use their mobile phones and SMS.When the pandemic hit, everyone worked at home, and kind of weaned themselves off of using our VOIP desk phones. We are not maintaining them.

Pros

The 'apps'. We still use OnSip for our main company phone lines' 'auto-attendants'.

Cons

I have trouble with the mobile app on Android. When calls ring, it does not pop to the top, and I cannot answer.This might be an issue with my settings, as other apps have the same issue.I'd like to see Microsoft Teams integration.

Our connection has always been clear and it's been easy to quickly log in and make calls from other devices when necessary. Only wish would be for a more compact version of the desktop app that could be kept open. The existing app takes a fair amount of real estate on the screen.

The mobile app seems underdeveloped in comparison to the web app and overall office phone.
