August 23, 2022 5.0 Confusing to start with because none of the tram had ever run an ecomm business before - let alone designed and setup a website! So a very steep learning curve with the website an associated integrations…which worked out ok in the end. Now that we’re more familiar with everything, RocketSpark (and the integration with Vend/Lightspeed & Xero) has become the backbone of our operations -we rely heavily on it’s ease of use, reliability and support. Pros Suitable for newbies (that was us!) and experienced ecomm business - with a professional end result that customers expect to see! Easy to use with new features being added and updated frequently - all with great support. Cons We still struggle with not having the ecomm categories in the hamburger…so it feels like the customers don’t get a good enough GUI…but so far all of our requests have been actioned so maybe this is on the way too! They respond quickly, are knowledgeable and helpful. Overall, we give them 4.5-stars. Pros We have used Rocketspark for approx. 5 years. In 2023 we roll out our new website with them. We investigated going to WordPress but decided to stay with Rocketspark because they have been a good support over the years. While WordPress offers more functions, there will not be any customer support. The Rocketspark designer has been excellent to work with, listening to our brief and engaging with our team well and we look forward to a seamless web launch. Their customer support is quick, knowledgeable and helpful. Cons The features our current website has have been sufficient up until now. We have struggled with the lack of flexibility in making some changes due to the inflexibility of our current website. Pros Not only is the platform extremely user friendly, the support service is ABOVE everything else. If you have a problem, they are there! If you have a quick question, Rocketspark has a quick response! They make working with them a dream! Also, they are constantly adding & updating their platform which makes creating websites even more exciting. Most weeks there is a new email with new updates or integrations & it's a very exciting environment to be amongst. Cons As everything, there is always room for improvement or 'addons'. Happy customers are our top priority and even though you had cancelled, and we had no obligation to refund you for the service you had used, we did indeed refund you (before you'd posted reviews). Also, your review is not correct in that we don't charge extra for variants of a product but where you do have more products than your current plan tier allows for there is a higher price to have more products and this is very transparent on our website and when you choose your plan. Pros Rocketspark is a New Zealand company and customer service is based in New Zealand. The site is set up for New Zealand GST and shipping/postage options. Cons Currently I have the basic Web Builder package, as I am just starting out in the world of e-commerce. Although I know that this is the basic package, I would have preferred full integration with an app. like Go Sweet Spot, as navigating NZ post is a nightmare (especially when mailing overseas) and an option to hold sales (if there is a sales option, I haven't figure it out). I would like to show the standard price and a sales price. In comparison to some overseas e-commerce builders, Rocketspark is pricey; however, it was very important that I have a store that included local support and GST. Since I am a sole trader (artist), it is extremely unlikely that I will ever have 400 merchandise items, and wonder if there is a possibility of a plan that contains between 10 and 400 items for customers like me? Reason for choosing Rocketspark Rocketspark is a New Zealand company (I wanted to support local business), has local customer support and is set up for NZ GST. It was also cheaper than other Kiwi e-commerce builders (though not as cheap as many international builders). I also appreciated the customer-friendly Rocketspark website, which was easy to navigate and information was clear and easy to understand - none of the other Kiwi sites were. Pros Very easy to set up and get going. Using their templates meant I could easily fill out the relevant pages and edit and change images quickly and easily. It was very easy to use as it's quite logical and I never got stuck for long trying to figure out how to change something. The way it's designed helped me keep my content logical, tidy and looking good. Cons Sometimes it was slow to load the different changes but probably more of a server or connection issue that the website builder issue. The feeds to my social media is great. Customers report the website is easy to browse. In general this is very good and reliable software so well done guys and thank you. Cons I don't like the check-out of my shop. Current configurations are confusing to customers. I don't think long term having to use only one drop down for customers to state where they are from and what area delivery is for will be sufficient. Also not even being able to change the wording on that drop down to indicate delivery instead of country is a little frustrating. Overall customer feed back is its clumsy and difficult to understand. When a customer has a purchase in their basket and wants to go back to the store, it returns right back to the start of the shop not where they left off. Luckily for me, Rocketspark was one of the preferred vendors of VEND (my store's POS system) I had the added benefit of Rocketspark and VEND collaborating seamlessly together which halved my work load when it comes to syncing my store inventory with my online store. The money and time saved far outweighs the per annum cost of subscribing to Rocketspark. The servers are super-fast and the nightmare of nit-picking over SEO is a thing of the past. We have noticed a sharp rise in our Goole rankings, which I put down to Rocketspark. Pros Very easy to use and understand, with a good choice of template themes which are also easily adapted to suit your preferred style. Cons For the more advanced or ambitious web site owner or developer, there are some modules that you will need to ask the support team to have them included. That decision has just been validated...my website went live only a fortnight ago and wow!!! what results to date. Your SEO tool Flint really works....I've quickly moved up in the Google search listings and as of today, am almost to the top of the page (not paid advertising)...well above some of my competitors. Pros I was a little apprehensive about building a website myself, but I found it all very straight forward and am pleased with the result. June 9, 2017 5.0 Pros I can change anything l want when l want, l can alter the whole look of the website if l want with the click of a button, but best of all and the one thing l found much better than other website providers that l found was these guys really mean what they say when it comes to after sale service, they have gone far beyond my expectations. When l needed advice, layout support, technical support l found them very approachable and supportive. One thing that also makes them stand out is when your not tech savvy, they speak in normal peoples language, so that you actually understand what they are saying without feeling stupid. I can't say enough positives about this company, they are what they say when they say it, which is much more than the other companies who spouted the same notion but never delivered the after sales support. Rocketspark have provided me with the best to do just that especially since it is so easy to set up, easy to modify, structures that could compete with other more expensive products and with a most excellent customer support system. Pros Easy and simple enough to set up and yet the finished product looks great. The step by step instruction is excellent for non technical man like me. I give Rocketspark all the credit for the reason that I was able to build my website by myself but under their close guidance. Needed to transfer my domain and refresh/rebuild my website including eCommerce. Was determined to move to a NZ host. Tried one crowd, couldn't even get an account without an 'error, refer to support' message. And I'd spent two days trying to work with another NZ host/website builder that was complicated and a bit unreliable. That just made me feel stupid. By Weds lunchtime I'd found Rocketspark, and by Friday afternoon I had a new live website and had received my first orders. Brilliant - success! Pros It's straightforward & easy to use. There were lots of guides, FAQs and videos to teach me how to build my website. There's a lot of creative flexibility. I like the drag & drop/block building approach - similar to MailChimp that I've been using for newsletters for a while now. They're based in NZ, which meant I was getting top quality, timely support. Everything feels really 'solid' and dependable. They're reviewing and updating info very regularly, so instructions don't get out of date.
