Pros Sign-up was too easy and the free tier is very generous. Installation was time consuming but this is mainly related to our codebase. Segment integration is working like a charm. The best app for setting up analytics for SaaS apps. Additionally, It has an intrusive and easy-to-work-with user interface with good customer service. it's cheap & affordable and suitable for most beginners Cons I won't recommend Mixpanel for large businesses that receive massive monthly traffic or run large campaigns. We've tried Google Analytics, and other free services that have consistently shown us messed up data. Mixpanel is super easy to set up, it gives you the data you need in a digestable format and allows you to make quick decisions. Cons To be honest, I used to be quite upset with the pricing of this software but they have recently lowered the monthly costs and it is on-par with what I would expect to pay. Good job Mixpanel. With the collected data, we set up visualizations and dashboards to make decisions in our product, and in our sales proccess, because we use MixPanel to tracking our Free Trial. For Product Analytics, I do not doubt that the MixPanel is The best choice, even more, than we are a Startup and we have been counting on the startups program for some time. Pros Mixpanel interface is excellent. For anyone who works with software as a service, this tool is essential! Distinguished product teams use this tool. MixPanel have too many resources, all you need when the subject is Product Analytics you can do with Mixpanel. Cons The initial configuration of data tracking is a bit complicated, especially if you want to evaluate everything that is possible. You will take some time to setup the events, mainly the custom events of you product. This is awesome as it provides critical precision on what and where to make improvements.We used it for mobile and web analytics, and used it to conduct product analytics as well and it kind of works for these purposes. However, Cons What I personally do not enjoy with Mixpanel is how saturated the UI is. There are just too many options and this gets me confused at point. I hardly figured out certain features on my own. It's not a great deal if you ask me and I highly recommend the developers make adjustments and take a minute to think about their customers.Not everybody is tech-savvy and not everyone can possibly tackle this mixup by themselves. Pros The new UI is really nice (visually), I love how graphs look like Mobile app is super snappy Integration is easy Automatic insights are actually useful Cons Building useful graphs can be challenging and sometimes counter-intuitive. Of course, I could watch all their education videos, but I simply don't have enough time. I think there's a lot that can be done in the "getting started quickly" category. After that, we could understand our gaps (where users were getting lost, where they were dropping off, etc.) and use that information to make improvements to our own product. Pros It is very easy to visualize and read on the screen the data exhibit. And it has a great set of filters and options to display and configure your own insights and reports. As a Support Rep, I use mixpanel primarily to track users, see if they're able to function properly within our mobile app, so mixpanel is fantastic in this function and am sure provides much more to our team. Cons The User interface within Mixpanel can be a lot for first time users. Even using the product for a couple of months now and I'm still not fully aware of how well to use it. I wish I had more time to figure out the different functions and learn the system more but that would be it's only drawback, that it's not for beginners. Cons We had a lot of issues with the reliability of the data based on how MixPanel captured it. It's also a very difficult product to use and requires extensive training to get the most out of it - even for a user that wants to access basic reports. April 2, 2018 5.0 Great analytics but the pricing is no longer worth it. Pros Compared to others like Flurry and Amplitude there are much more features in Mixpanel. Lets you explore user profiles and see each users revenue and target push notifications to users with campaigns. Also lets you set properties on users so that you can enable features specific users and do A/B testing. Cons The pricing is way to high for anyone other then a large company they used to have a good free plan but the current free plan with its limits is useless for production apps.
