For example you can track how long does the user watches the Tutorial video as we did in our app. Though I noticed sometimes it returns wrong value, so for now I would stick to own duration calculations but still send to Mixpanel to track it. The integration is pretty simple, dashboard is nice. Cons Duration tracking is a bit wrong sometimes on iOS. The panel sometimes has delays but I guess it's normal. Review Source EK Eri K. For example creating dashboards, product analysis (both web and mobile) and making funnels is very easy. Cons There has always been an issue where we have trouble attributing events to client IDs when we bring the Mixpanel data outside of Mixpanel (for example our data warehouse). Pros Mixpanel is awesome and really helps you make the most of your website or platform. Flows and funnels are key to better understanding how people use our site and what paths they take to complete various tasks that we could make easier for them. Cons So far, there's really nothing I've discovered that I don't like about Mixpanel. But the happiness lowed down when we started needing more complex things and the pricing went up skyrocketed based on our users database despite the fact that not all of them are qualified leads for us. Pros The easiness to track information and the possibility to analyse it based on segments teams was great. The customer support has always been active and answered fast. Cons When we started needing more complex features, we found out that the pricing was too high and couldn't afford it. For the functionalities provided, we found that competitors much better suited our needs. Cons It's harder to use that it should be, should be easily used by non technical roles. Adding events to the site should be easily done without having to ask an engineer. It's super easy to set up and to integrate into your workflow. It's easy to set up segmentations and flows so you can see how people move through your site or product. This has been hugely helpful in our ability to optimize conversion. Cons I'm curious how they can improve the collaboration abilities with teammates and allow for more streamlined experiments. Cons There's a bit of a learning curve, especially if you haven't used a similar platform in the past. I have also found that certain ad-blockers might cause events not to register. It's really affordable compared to other analytics tools out there. Cons This just didn't deliver what we wanted. We got on a call with their sales team, and they REALLY overpromised what could be done with Mixpanel. We'd ask, "Can we track this...?" , and immediately their response, was "YES!" In the end, we did all the setup and the development team did a lot of customization. But the customization for dashboards just isn't there. We also didn't get all of the onboarding support that was promised. In the end, we just let the rest of the year subscription pass, and we started using an open source tool called Metabase instead.
