Totally positive and will continue to use this for our content creation on linked in, email and you tube.

Pros

Easy drag-drop and play! We use this from time to time to make informational content, video installation, and drip marketing materials for customers. Hundreds of templates to choose from, applicable to almost every platform we use.

Cons

Can be time-consuming if you don't have edited material to upload into this software, blocking out sound adding audio, etc.

I actually use both but for different purposes, animoto is more detailed and involved. Magisto is quick for disruptive content.

It's been the best! The customer service is amazing. The people are so helpful and it's very personal service. I never feel like a number! There is always someone to help you, whether it's IT, accounts etc

Pros

The ease of use is the best thing about Animoto with the ready to roll templates and the variety of styles to choose from! The end product is so prefessional looking!

Cons

I prefer the old system where you just load all the photos in and can switch between styles. One other thing is that if you click off "Hide Animoto", it still shows animoto when you post to Facebook etc, so I have to download and upload.

Terrible. Ripped off for a renewal when i haven’t even logged in for ove 10 months.

Pros

It is fairly easy to use, and has some music track options

Cons

They autorenew your account with no warning and will not refund. The cost of a subscription is far more than the value of the product. There are free video editors that vastly exceed the features of this rudimentary interface.

It enables users to upgrade their branding with ease. Almost anyone can create contents with it. I loved the user friendly interface. Ideal for small businesses. One of the best options available. A powerful tool but it certainly needs to add more features.

Pros

It is very user friendly. Almost anyone can create amazing video content with it. The large template library makes it even easier for users. Creating videos takes a very little time and adding effects, transitions and text overlay is relatively very simple.

Cons

The templates can sometimes be very restrictive. If a user has a proper idea about how the video should be then it is not for him.

Pros

I love Animoto’s ease of use, along with the amazing quality final product. It looks professionally made, even when they’re created by 4th graders.

Cons

I love that there are templates to use, but I find them sometimes restricting. I also wish we could control the amount of time in each slide.

If I had known how dated the templates would look at the lack of functionality and customization, I wouldn't have bothered testing it out.

Pros

Animoto provides an easy to use platform to upload your videos and edit them together using various templates they have. The platform is very user-friendly and they have a decent amount of templates and animations to choose from.

Cons

The overall app seems a bit expensive for what you get. The templates themselves appear very dated and there isn't a ton of flexibility with the templates. You kind of get what you see. I wasn't very impressed when comparing this to other tools like Promo.com

I have used it for over 10 years to create my end of year slideshows! I hope that the Memories format doesn't go away because I find it unique and no other product has what Animoto has! It has always been way ahead of its time!

Pros

As a teacher, it is so easy to use! The ability to pace itself to the music saves me so much time, and the uploading of my own music is great!

Cons

The promo codes are great, but I would like more promo codes for monthly pricing and not just annual.

Pros

It is so much fun to create using Animoto. My staff and I are always experimenting with different messaging and find it's so easy to use and allow others the opportunity to create with confidence.

Cons

Editing music and timing is a challenge. Also accessing the workspace to review the other projects is not as easy to find.

Animoto does not have a complex editor like other platforms and thus video creation becomes seamless. It has unique features that are not available on other platforms. For example: 1. You can add your own fonts. 2. Easily share videos created on social media

1\. You can easily add a watermark to the videos 2. It has an option to add intuitive backgrounds and animations 3. You can easily add any filters to enhance the video 4. You can easily undo or redo changes to a video 5. It has Getty image library integration

Cons

It is relatively expensive as compared to other tools.

Pros

Easy to drop in video clips and photos to make really cool promo videos! We've used this for years - but only because they give us a discount on the pricing. We do love the software and the quality of videos produced. Can use their library of music or import your own. Best part is that they automatically sync to the rhythm and speed of your music so your photo transitions attractively flow with the background.

Cons

It's overpriced. They used to do a non-profit pricing package at discount, now we have to apply for that every year.....with more competition in the market, I don't know if we will continue to be willing to pay this or not to be honest.

I've used Animoto for marketing videos over the years. The render time is fast, the templates are ok and the interface is probably the best I've ever used.

Pros

I enjoyed the clean and easy to understand interface. Without it, I would've abanded it a long time ago. The timeline feels snappy. The elements don't get in your way. And each template video is split into sections, which makes it easy to only edit what you need.

Cons

The templates are probably the weakest part of the tool. While it shows that they put in the effort, the overall result is beneath Canva templates, for example. Some work well, others are way too generic to be used as is. And it would take a long time to change most of it to make it usable.

### "Take care with the auto-renewal! "

The option to turn off auto-renewal is hidden away. You may struggle to get a refund after the auto renewal has gone through. So be careful.

Pros

It works for what it is designed for. I used it a couple of times in 12 months to put together slideshow previews of photoshoots for clients. You can add music and it's not difficult to use. They have lots of YouTube videos on how to use it.

Cons

The option to turn off auto-renewal is hidden away. Initially, they refused to give a refund after my auto-renewal had gone through. However, I wrote another polite email pointing out that the option to turn this off was not easy to find. They gave me 50% of my new one year subscription back. Not great, but better than nothing and lesson learned about auto-renewals. Interestingly, there is a Government review going on in the UK about subscription auto-renewals and it will (hopefully!) result in companies having to give you notice before a subscription auto-renews

Pros

The ability to compile videos with premade templates allows making videos to be a breeze. Have a video you make often? Copy the template and update the photos. A wide variety of music and sharing options are available as well.

Cons

There's minimal flexibility when it comes to scaling photos, but you can use many different sized templates to fit your needs.

Pros

I first saw an Animoto at a friend's wedding over 10 years ago. It was pretty amazing. I turned into a fan and made a few 30 second trailers out of photos for friends of mine who ran small businesses locally. It was easy to make and the templates and music choices were pretty awesome.

Cons

I didn't like that the free version came out so grainy and lo-resolution, but I get it. How else are you going to pay for a product like Animoto? Premium subscriptions!

Pros

Animoto is an EASY to use video maker software. Anyone can use it right out of the box to make great sliding presentations or other types of videos.

Cons

Subscription based, and without paying you will have the watermark from them in your videos. Would be great if they lowered the cost as there are other options out there as well, and some have a set price.

Very good. It has made our social media and fundraising strategies much more strategic, engaging and successful.

Pros

Super easy to create professional polished videos for social media, marketing, advertising, fundraising, events and more. The drag and drop interface is easy for anyone to use.

Cons

I'm disappointed that they made the video clip library only available under the Pro+ plan when it used to be available under the Pro plan. I also wish the new "branding" option didn't put your logo in the corner throughout your video, or that that option was editable.

Animoto is a very easy tool to edit your video. It's best for those who don't have any video editing experience. They have great collections of music in the library, templates, stock library, etc. It comes at a very cheap price, I really liked their pricing plan. I think they should add a few more features like animation, motion graphics, etc.

Animoto has been a go to software for me for many years. I have used it for small business advertising, my own college class projects, my daughter's pre-k class projects, invitations and show and tell videos.

Pros

The results the generator produces after you pick and choose your music, photos and animations. The site will provide a preview in the style you pick and if you are curious about other styles you can swap them before production.

Cons

That is it not totally free. The company provides a free trial but there is a watermark that overlays the video after production.

Pros

Some of the easiest video making software around. Use one of their templates or start from scratch and customize how you want. Yes, there are some limitations but I've done social media marketing videos, wedding videos, even a silly one about my dogs, and they all look professional. There are tons of music choices, fonts, colors, slide effects...it's just great all around and really easy to use.

Cons

As with most companies, you have to pay more for the good stuff like premium templates. The character max when you want to add text is very low. It resizes your pictures for you when you don't want it to. Little annoyances you end up having to find your way around but again, worth it.
