Pros The wizards guide you through easily to make a video. You can upload your own images and clips easily. The cost is good compared to other options. Cons There are only basic templates. But to be honest the PRICE is way to HIGH. Cons I had an Unauthorized Transaction of $180 and I had a dispute on PayPal and Animoto decides to not give me my MONEY BACK and Suspends my Animoto account so I don't have access to anything I tried reaching out and no RESPONSE. They have multiple storyboards to chose from. It's great for newbies and people that just want to create a fun video. You can just add your photos and videos and in a few minutes you're done. They have a large music library you can use. It's easy to download or share on social media. It's very user friendly. Pros I really like Animoto! You can create unlimited videos even with the free plan. You upload your photos/video, add a music track from their library and you're done, it's super easy! Great for newbies and even kids! Cons I'm not sure if Animoto has any cons honestly. Maybe their branding that appears at the end of your video, but it's expected since it's free. You can always upgrade if that bothers you. It is especially helpful for classroom projects where you want students to create something quickly. Pros It is super easy to use. They offer numerous templates and free stock photos, videos and music. The interface is quite intuitive so it is easy to get started after poking around the site for a just a few minutes. Added bonus, it's free! Cons Unless you pay for the upgrade all videos carry the Animoto watermark. Users with more advanced skills may find the format limiting, but it is very easy for novices. Helps me to do separate videos for each product and info on my product. Quickly make what I want with what I choose to put in it. Sharing is easy and helps others to see what they can do with this. Pros I like being able to put together videos with my photos. Easy to use and share my work with others. Pros Hands down, the best way to make professional looking videos, with little time to poor into creating them. Cons When it comes to customizable videos, outside of the templates and computer generated layouts, it's very difficult to customize your layout, other than order of sections. Cons The set up is great very cookie cutter and easy peasy, I do not like how it constricts my creativity in not being able to go outside of the box. You place the photos in the boxes and pick your music and Animoto does the rest. Not saying that's a bad thing for everyone, but it would be nice if you could choose different transitions and choose how long each picture is displayed besides the music length and the ability to star photos. I love that it is so easy to use, and a lot of the time, I just have to add pictures and then animoto does the rest. Very rarely do I need to do a ton of editing to get a good video! It's a pretty basic tool, so I wouldn't use it for more high-profile purposes, but it's great for creating quick videos. Pros It's easy to get started and learn Animoto and the built-in templates look very modern and clean. There are also multiple video sizes, including square videos for Instagram, which some competitors lack. There are also lots of customization and editing features available. Like a few other people they will not refund your money. I canceled it the day it was due only because I forgot about it and can't afford the $264 they are taking out. I quit using this over 9 months ago. During this pandemic you would think they would have a little compassion not this company. Now they have taken food out of my family's mouth. Great job . Animoto videos help us look more polished, with little effort. Loving it so far! Pros Super-easy drag-and-drop software: WYSIWYG interface with a nice array of templates to get you started. So simple that I (Gen X) could use right away without the tutorial. And the basic package is free! Cons The free version includes a product stamp that can't be removed - so all your videos will say "Created by Animoto," which can be distracting. April 19, 2018 5.0 Pros It's great that this program is so simple to use. You simply provide what you want it to say, and the images-and you can use all types of guides to add flare to your video. Pros No pros - average product thats over priced. Cons The product itself was very average and added little versus other products. We stopped using it two months in. However the main issue was we turned the auto-renew off and 10 months later it auto-renewed. There was also no notification before the charge or after the payment that we were to pay - which contravenes Australian consumer law. I am a wedding photographer, so I use this Animoto to create slideshows for my clients. It's very easy to use and client love to see their photos set to music. You can also add little video clips. So cool. Cons I haven't found anything worth listing it as a con. I have thought sometimes that it would be nice to have more control over trimming songs. They have a good music selection and it is easy to get on youtube and share. Cons Limited ability to go beyond the templates. Limited ability to type in the images. It would be nice to be able to write more on the images. It is just a very basic program for videos. We will more than likely be looking to upgrade to something a little more technical.
