That was me once too, and I'm so glad that I came across ClickUp. Just look at the positive reviews that are out there, then imagine your most edge case need and I'd be surprised if this baby doesn't exceed your needs. Seriously take it for a spin, it will cost you nothing and you (and your team) will love it. Pros 1\. The amount of features and ability to turn them on and off depending on needs 2. Simple, easy integration with other tools like Slack, email etc... 3. Adaptability that lends itself to a plethora of diverse work processes. 4. Dark mode = Awesome 5. An active dev team that engage with users and push out regular updates 6. Different views, board, list, calendar... and they are working on Gantt Charts too 💣 7. It's like a supercharged to-do list for our entire (distributed) team 8. Transparency of what is being done (and needs to be prioritised) across workspaces 9. I use it to streamline and organize the numerous tasks and phases of managing an interior design project. Cons There is big learning curve. It took me a while to understand the terminology... Pros Easy to use, avaliable on almost all devices, awesome customer support. All in all a top product at a very good price, it is making our day a whole lot better. It has been difficult getting others to start using the system vs email. Reason for choosing ClickUp I found the organization of the product logical, allowing me to organize my teams work. I am able to easily track what my team is doing, gauging productivity. Monday.com was similar, but the user interface on Clickup is better. Slack was very disorganized and was not a viable option for us. Basecamp's interface is behind the times, seemed like an system developed 10 years ago with no updates. When co-ordinating between different teams that need to work together to accomplish a goal / project- ClickUp is the best system to use. Pros Click up is a great way to set up task dependant project management. If you need to systemise projects where certain tasks or projects can only be done after preliminary tasks are done by others- ClickUp is the system for you. I used to use 5 different softwares and now I only need one. It’s cut time in half and increased our efficiency like crazy. The best part is they make improvements constantly! ClickUp just keeps getting better! Pros It is everything I need in one place! My team is spread out all other the place and we are able to seemlessly communicate, track, plan and grow through ClickUp’s all in one software. Cons The mobile version isn’t very user friendly. I almost would rather use it just for chat & checking notifications since it can be difficult to get to what you need. I think the only thing with ClickUp is it runs the risk of having too much going on but I’d rather lean that way than not enough! June 7, 2021 5.0 ClickUp makes it easy to keep track of and share updates on projects that are in progress. I love that it is easy to add users so I can add clients so they can stay in the loop as well. Pros ClickUp is not what I would use as my main Project Management Software, but is fantastic for keeping track of tasks and providing updates along the way. I like to utilize this for projects with clients so that I can keep them up to date on where items and tasks are at since they don't have access to our internal program. It's powerful, I love that I can control exactly what kinds of notifications I get, and it looks great. Setting up a team as an admin still has room for improvement / a need to prevent overwhelm unless the admin is willing to spend a ton of time learning about ClickUp before setting anything up. Pros I was added as a team member to a project and I was surprised by how clean and easy it was for me to jump in and begin working the tasks assigned to me. ClickUp's use of whitespace and keeping a minimal appearance makes it easy for me to navigate through the kanban board and notifications and tasks. I like that I'm only shown what I need to see and the whole UX/UI looks and feels modern. Cons When I was setting up my own team and projects, it was so overwhelming to start to understand how to make sure everything was set up how I wanted. There are a lot of videos that ClickUp has made showing every feature and how to set them up, but I felt like I couldn't even make a little traction without spending a couple hours learning about how everything works. I jumped in, set up a team and some tasks, but it got really messy when I had to go back and adjust things I should have set up another way before I even begun. I realized that a ClickUp team's success is totally dependant on how much understanding and time an admin has put into setting up the team and knowing all about ClickUp. Review Source AM Ashen M. There are lots of ways you can use it for - time tracking, workflow management, task communication, etc. It's inexpensive and quite feature-rich. Cons The initial setup is a bit complicated. Pros ClickUp has more features than I can even keep track of, it can do just about anything our staff need. And they keep bringing out new features on an almost weekly basis! Pros I loved how easy it was to upload docs for editing between several people. I loved that you could have several versions of the same doc uploaded for tracking purposes. Also being able to make notes for others was huge. Cons It was easy to 'save over' a currently uploaded doc for some added confusion. Also the learning curve was pretty steep.
