Once I got the hang of it, I was able to reduce other collaborative tools and having a one-stop platform saves me time and mental energy. It's customizable, but that is also where some of the initial overwhelm stems from Pros All-in-one space to track tasks, documents, goals -- it can replace a lot of other tools/platforms. It's customizable to support anyone's workflows, and the ability to set up automatic tasks and tracking is great. Cons At first, it can be quite a challenging learning curve and the multitude of options can feel overwhelming and cluttered. It is a tools that helps me with my daily tasks and organizes my work. Sometimes it can be a bit laggy, but except meetings it doesn't happen really often. Pros ClickUp can make your work more organized by allowing you to create various spaces in which you can divide your companies or departments to make your tasks be where they belong. You can use a few default views to sort your lists of tasks. It is perfect for managing projects, keeping your work documented and well planned. It is also great for collaboration. Cons My biggest issue with ClickUp is it has a lot of problems during meets. I am not able to comfortably present the project to the team, or scrum along with them. It's kanban boards are very easy to use, and the overall aesthetic is pleasing to look at, and also intuitive to some extend. What was more difficult was the integration with github that had it's limitations on the free plan and wasn't quite clear how it's done correctly. It really is a great task management software and the ease of assigning specific tasks to people, assigning time, assigning additional subtasks, adding attachments and then having them all in the kanban board - it's just amazing! Cons At times ClickUp just feels too heavy, in my opinion some of the features that are there are nice but for most of the time we haven't used them, they felt rather unnecessary and just bloated the UI. The desktop app allows you to do so in real time on any website or document that you are in Cons There is a steep learning curve, and although I have used Asana, Trello and other project management software, this one is by far the hardest understand and get used to for me. the other part is that as they continuously evolve the product, it seems like some features that were included in the free version were move to business and enterprise, so you kind of have to use a paid version. When I was using Asana, the free version had all of the bare minimum features I needed, so the added cost is a con.
