We moved different teams from different tools (Trello, Basecamp, Google spreadsheets, etc) years ago and combined everything into ClickUp, which brought all teams to the same platform, which is easier for cross-team training and consistency across the company. ClickUp is also easy to use, easy to train new users, easy to customize, and serves all different needs from different departments across the company. Their customer support team is also excellent. Any time we needed support, they were available and helpful. Pros ClickUp is extremely easy to use and adaptable to different needs. Since we have multiple (distinct) departments with very unique needs and processes, we like the fact that we can customize pretty much anything (custom fields, custom statuses, custom structure/hierarchy), etc. This also makes project collaboration a lot easier. Now, with AI and automations, we're taking our project management to the next level. Cons Some features and update requests take months to be implemented by their development team, and sometimes, upvoted features are never considered. Review Source Hannah M. Easy to use, visually pleasing, and gets everyone in the right spot to get the job done. It's about mid-range when it comes to how much it costs to use as a company. Depends on the size of the company! Their social media page is also brilliant. Pros ClickUp was a great tool to use for project management. It had the nitty gritty that's sometimes needed for project management, but you could also keep it simple if needed. I liked the collaboration and easy visibility on who was working on what. You could easily add yourself to a project, watch a project, add tasks and subtasks, tag people, etc. I also like that you can easily see all the projects on the side and collapse what you need to collapse. You don't to go to this page, then this page, then that page. You can get an overview on the left and collapse anything you're not working on or don't need to know about. Cons It's honestly pretty user friendly, but it does take a minute to learn and get everything up and running. You do have to learn the specific intricacies of it, but that's true with anything! It helps a lot when there are many deadlines at the same time. I can quickly see what is done, what is overdue and who is working on what. Pros Recurring tasks are very useful for things like month end checklists, reconciliations and regular reporting. We also use dashboards to get a quick view of overdue items instead of going through each task one by one. Comments inside the task help as well because the discussion stays within one place Cons There are so many features that it can feel a bit confusing at first. We tried some automations but didnt really need anything advanced. Pricing can also get a bit expensive when more users are added. It’s easy to start off with for basic tasks and setting up your week, and you can get a good flavour of it with the free version. That said, it does have a bit of a learning curve because it offers so many features. And like many users have noted, you really get the most out of it if you decide to go all in and integrate it fully into your processes. The free version is more of a starting point, and you’ll eventually need to commit if you want to unlock its full potential. So in summary, it’s a strong tool if you’re ready to embrace it fully. Pros I found ClickUp really intuitive and easy to use for all the basics. It made collaborating with my team simple, allowing us to assign and manage tasks seamlessly. I also appreciated its AI features, which added a nice boost to handling tasks. Overall, its strength in task and project management stood out and made the whole experience really effective. Cons While ClickUp was easy to set up for the basics, its wide range of features could feel a bit overwhelming. In other words, its strength was also a bit of a weakness, because there were so many layers that it took some time to really get to grips with how everything worked. Another downside was running into paywalls fairly quickly. You’d see what you wanted to do, but then you’d hit an upgrade prompt, which could be a bit limiting. Yet, it has been necessary to streamline our way of working and centralize how to use the tool as it can become quickly messy if you don't administrate it. Pros Clickup is really easy to use but also really customizable. We have several teams in my company and each of them has its way of working, ClickUp is enabling us to fit their requirements. Also, it's very visual and there are a lot of automation possibilities, helping us to gain significant time. Cons The UX is sometimes too heavy: it can become difficult to navigate from one view to the other as there could be lot of items on a single page. What I really appreciate is how everything can live in one place...Tasks, comments, drafts, deadlines, and client notes. It makes it much easier to keep track of what’s done, what’s pending, and who’s responsible for what. For content planning, having different views (like Calendar, List, and Board) helps a lot when organizing campaigns and seeing the bigger picture. It also saves time because clients can leave feedback directly inside tasks instead of going back and forth through email. Pros What I liked the most about ClickUp is how flexible it is. My clients managed 6 brands, and I can create different spaces for each and manage simple to-do tasks. The customization options are great (views, fields, and automaitons let you shape the workspace to fit exactly how you work. As an email marketer, my clients and team appreciate the different views (calendar, lists...). Cons The only thing I'd point out is that it might feel a little bit too complex for someone who isnt very comfortable with technology. We needed something exactly like Click Up where if you are collaborating on a project, you can assign tasks, a due date, can track how far the task is and can attach files as well. You also have the ability to customise Click Up to your liking, which was a winner for us. I also love the fact that you can create workspaces, sub-tasks and with the notetaker, it makes it easier to get minutes from meetings that you can easily access and you have all the action items from meetings and can easily convert them to tasks that you can track. ClickUp is an awesome tool and I love using it Pros Click Up has made life easier for my team as we can collaborate remotely and always be in sync. It’s very easy to manage projects, assign roles and tasks and makes it easier to track these. It’s very easy to customise and user friendly and with the new Notetaker feature, it just makes Click Up more desirable as a tool for managing daily work and projects Cons There is nothing I do not like about Click Up so far. And then it gets you to try to pay for the service based on the AI tasks being over the free threshold. Working in the accounting field due dates and timelines are very important and this was a great way to keep me on track. Reports on time tracking were easy to use. Pros I liked click up because it kept me on task. It was very easy to add tasks, sub tasks and assign different members of the team on projects. The ability to see what everyone has completed cut out interruptions which was a huge time saver. It also worked great for time tracking for billable hours. I've used the version where you pay and it was a good value to hold shared documents. Cons The only thing I think that would improve click up would be a reminder. If you are active, but not clocking any time a little reminder would be helpful. Or if you are on a project for multiple hours, an are you still there pop up to avoid over charging for time.
