Pros: Customizeability (Is that a word)? You can customize the software pretty easily. For instance I have a field where I can tag someone a "walking placement". Then I can search a city for all of those that I tagged with that term. There is so much you can do.

Cons: I am concerned that support for 8 will go away. I've been using the old school version for over a decade and I don't want to learn 9. If I have to I guess I will but would rather keep it old school.

Overall: I live on PCR. It's my job. Don't know what I would do with out it.

Comments: PCRecruiter has more useful features, such as the LinkedIn parsing feature with pics, than enterprise versions of large ATS products like Taleo. You can keep all your business in one place, including contractors. Interfaces with Quickbooks, but not the online version.

Pros: Support team-can make changes or additions to software fairly quickly; customizable; parses from LinkedIn, including picture; cloud-based; can do everything.

Cons: It has so much available that it takes time to learn it well. Not much color on the GUI, but still looks nice.

Recently implemented the newest PCR responsive job board for a global environment.

Pros: Simplicity . Very intuitive software which our internal HR team has easily adopted.
Reliability. No downtime in my experience.
Customer Service. Best customer service interactions I have experienced on so many levels.

Overall: It really serves all our needs, and then some. Most internal HR departments fail on the Candidate experience and on being disciplined in consistently applying recruitment processes. PCR allows you to focus less on the tool (its intuitive and reliable) and more on the recruitment processes..... which is where the true value is.

Pros: This software is quite dynamic and has a lot of features that exponentially facilitate recruitment processes. All in all, this program is easy to utilize and manage.

Cons: Lack of complimentary educational resources, such as webinars. Also the scarcity of video tutorials. There are plenty of written instructions and online help. However, for visual learners, video content would be very helpful. It's unfortunate that in order to receive visual training is so costly. "Two Minute Tuesday" videos are helpful, but the variety of topics explored is limited.

Overall: This software has allowed me to keep track of recruitment processes in a very organized and simple way. There are so many helpful features, and the potential this program has is incredible. It's just a matter of digging and practicing.

Pros: This is one of the easiest ATS system I have used before.. I like how it is easy to upload candidates and companies

Cons: The only think I do not like is it is not very flexible for the Mac Users, I have a Mac computer and I cannot integrate it with my Microsoft office email, I have to use the email in PC Recruiter to get candidates who apply

Overall: It is very helpful

Pros: PCR can be customized to do just about anything you might need. It integrates well with LinkedIn through PCR Capture.

Cons: The online instruction tool is not as detailed as it was in previous versions--you can't always find the answer to your question on basic things like formatting reports online.

Pros: I love the fact that they are constantly improving, updating and adding new features and functions that make things easier in the digital world. I would recommend PCRecruiter to anyone whether you are a 40 man office or a "one man band". Technical support is great!

Pros: Tie in's to LinkedIn, Ring Central, Resume Inhaler.

Cons: I've found it very hard to delete Industry Codes that were automatically part of the PCRecruiter Default without doing it one by one. Unfortunately, there are 987 codes and it's taking me way too long. I need to call, because it's probably my mistake; there has to be an easier way that I don't know about.

Pros: The recent update has addressed prior issues with duplicate entries and the software is a great asset if you're trying to build out your database.

Cons: Select company from PCR Database still seems to have issues populating, although I'm not sure if that's an issue with the software itself or the way it is configured in my office.

Overall: It's a great time saver.

Pros: Rich and deep in functionality that allows the user to use the product on their terms. Frequent updates and very stable since the product has longevity. Outlook and social integration good.

Cons: Could use a more robust mobile experience. Could also be a bit more intuitive in navigation and setup with the ability to create and post a note to several records automatically.

Pros: The Capture tool is excellent. I really like how you can get into a nice rhythm and import contacts as you view their records.

Cons: It can lag a bit. I also do not like that when I capture someone's information, I then have to search for that person in PCR to open their record.

Pros: Ease of use, increase in productivity, easy navigation for both current positons we are working, candidates, tracking interview process and prospecting. We have not found or experienced any negatives. There is so many options and customization options that we are not using all that is available.

Pros: I like the ease of being able to add people into the database through LinkedIn, it makes working between CRM's much easier.

Cons: When someone lists a professional license or has a maiden name and married listed it doesn't always connect the accounts together and has to be merged after manually

Overall: Ease of adding people to the database, was the biggest benefit out of pcr capture

Pros: Everything about it is a time saver designed so that you don't have to go back and forth from PCR to LinkedIn, which is fantastic. Huge improvement overall but . . .

Cons: The only problem I noticed with this version was that - despite what the training video says - it does not give you the option of adding a name to a rollup "on the fly". Instead, you have to designate the rollup in the default settings. The video specifically mentions that this is not the case anymore, but I just downloaded this latest version 5 minutes ago and there's no option to choose a rollup on the fly. I imagine that will be fixed soon, however, and when it is it will be perfect.

Overall: It's a time saver, helps me stay organized, and ultimately helps me put together more deals! It is also affordable and priced correctly.

Pros: -Ability to customize name, company, and position record layouts to optimize work flow
-Ability to show/hide all menu options and arrange as needed
-Built in email client (PCRMail) integrates directly with database, so all correspondence is recorded automatically under the record's activities. Can easily move from email to client's record in database
-Can configure multiple email aliases for each user and assign custom SMTP settings to each respective alias (useful for dividing marketing and transactional emails between separate ESP's)
-Live Chat support allows for much quicker response times to issues and support staff is great to work with

Cons: -Limited email marketing functionality (can't send bulk marketing emails to a list of companies, can't schedule a future email blast to send out on a certain date/time, no way to configure a default bulk sending dedicated IP for marketing efforts, spotty "resend check" feature that only checks bulk email correspondence but skips all direct email activity, etc.)
-Can't search for record activities (i.e. sent someone an email) and record data (i.e. in the state of Texas) at the same time. Cumbersome process of having to do one search, save those results to a list, do the other search, and filter by that list.
-PCRMail has been notoriously problematic at times over the years (address book issues, email encoding issues, spell check problems, inbox refresh problems, frame sizing issues, etc)
-Unable to search rollup lists by rollup code (even though rollup codes are used in all advanced searches)
-No way to unmerge merged records

Pros: good to store information about both candidates and client companies and hiring managers. Good tool for multiple users to see each others activity.

Cons: Sometimes it was slow or would go offline, we used it a couple years ago, so this could have been resolved by now.

Pros: We love the customer service! Our account rep. is so responsive and easy to get a hold of when we need it!

Cons: There are many parts to it that sometimes can take a long time to get used to, but once you do, it's a great software!

Comments: I was with them until I retired and loved the experience

Pros: Everything a recruiter could want is in the program. Everything is searchable, however see below. Customer service is great. Their people know you personally.

Cons: Not always as intuitive as it could be. Searches could be a little difficult. Doesn't integrate with my softphone

Pros: large database of resume. ATS from third party portals.Harvesting is good feature . not so costly.

Pros: Inhaler, Linkedin Chrome feed, easy to status candidates through the process, you can set up different position question profiles tied to each postion for candidates to complete when submitting their resume. There are automation rules for candidates that can be set up to decline low skilled or highlight highly qualified candidates. Nice time savings features!

Cons: Many steps require multiple page loads to move forward. Their software team should consider to have all the decision items on one page through drop down lists for selection to allow to move forward, rather than separate page feeds.

Overall a good product that meets the needs of our business for an affordable cost

Comments: Overall the Pros outweigh the cons and for a small business like ours, PC Recruiter meets our needs allowing us to spend more time doing the work we should be doing.

Pros: It has all of the features that we are looking for in an applicant tracking/CRM system. The customer service rep that was assigned to do our training was excellent. She spent all the time we need and followed up quickly on open items. The cost is also very affordable.

Cons: Navigation is a bit tricky and sometimes not as intuitive as we would like. There are some short cuts that appear to be missing. We do much of our work from roll-ups but it does not appear that everything can be done from the roll-ups which requires us going out to a function we want. The scheduling of follow-ups is not up to standard and does not interface with Outlook well.

Pros: Very responsive and able to get us started in a short amount of time. The software is very user friendly and easy to understand.

Cons: We had expressed interest in having an automatic posting to external sources like we had with our previous ATS. We were told they partnered with LogicMelon for that and it was supposed to be affordable. After getting a demo, we found out it was double the cost of the ATS, so it is unfortunately not an option for us. That means manual posting to multiple sites which is very time consuming.

Comments: The product isn't overly expensive and has everything you need with regards to tracking, reporting and connectivity. But you need to know the "ins" and "outs" to navigate effectively and efficiently. In today's world, most ATS's can be used with little or no training. Not the case here. We are opting to change directions after about 6 months of fumbling around with PCR.

Comments: My organization is an RPO company in which we engage multiple clients. In most of these engagements, we bring an ATS solution. We use PC Recruiter as our primary system. We have worked with the team from PC Recruiter for almost a year now and have had great success with their ATS. Overall we are very satisfied with the functionality and features of the system.

Pros: The greatest "Pro" that I can point to is the team at PC Recruiter. They have been extremely responsive to our needs and have been there every step of the way as we configure and deliver their system. They have also been very willing to receive feedback and develop upgrades that have been "game changers" for the way we work. The Customer Service team is fantastic. Very knowledgeable and timely in their responses.

Cons: Some of the system terminology and field names are confusing. The system is not overly intuitive. There is a bit of a learning curve if you want to leverage all of the bells and whistles that PCR has, but the Customer Service team is very helpful in helping you in your education.

Comments: The system seems to be able to do many things, but putting everything just does not work. It's like "Yeh, let's put everything that we can come up with, so it's very helpful when you need it!" well, in fact, it just makes everything messed up and too complicated.

Recommendations to other buyers: Simplify it. I think that is the IT trend of 2017. (or even well earlier) The user interface, easy to understand and grasp at once is the key for all the technology - when standing that point of view, PCR is an obsolete system to me.

Comments: My experience with PC Recruiter has been positive. When I was looking at ATS', I had a list of must have features. PC Recruiter was one of the few, that could deliver and at a better price than most.

Pros: I like that we can produce templates for our interviews, with the questions we want to ask. The recruiter can pull up the template, ask the questions, not the answers, makes notes and save the document to the candidate's profile.

Cons: Mobile app allows the user to view contact, company, or position details, but adding details like conversations, notes or schedules is not possible. It would be great to be able to have full usability on the app.

Comments: As a user of their recruiting software, the transition to their ATS was simple. There are a lot of features so for new users it can seem overwhelming. However, asking a lot of questions on the front end and setting up the system to mirror your recruit flow and taking advantage of the automated systems will greatly enhance your experience. Great technical support and quick response at all levels.

Pros: Lots of features, as a user the dashboard information is incredibly helpful, the system layout can be customized to accommodate your personal workflow.

Cons: It's a complex system so for new users it will seem a little overwhelming. Manager portal is very weak from a UI perspective.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you're looking for a system that will help you not only manage applicants but also act as a database for candidates for future use this is a great system. Be sure you have a defined applicant work flow process and ask questions on how the system can accommodate your needs.

Comments: My experience with PCR is not the best. It takes a lot of time to upload all the information about each and every candidate to this system. Everything has to be put manually, if the layout of the resume is not standard the system does not recognize the right information and then all that wrong info has to be changed manually again. When I look for some candidate who I know for sure is in the system PCR tells me sometimes that this person is not found. Also what is not convenient is that it doesn't collect resumes from the job boards. The layout is a bit complicated, you have to open every window separately, so when you open the candidate's page you can't see the whole info right away, you have to open notes and then if he had an interview you have to go to those notes to find out the feedback. This system does not save your time, but takes a lot of time to use, for no reason.

Pros: The only think I like about PCR is that it can capture profile from LinkedIn.

Cons: Everything has to be put manually, if the layout of the resume is not standard the system does not recognize the right information and then all that wrong info has to be changed manually again.

Pros: customer support and service

Cons: cumbersome to use, for most features/actions.

Overall: I have used this for about 10 years and am going to a new system. Support has always been great, but the software itself is very cumbersome to use, IMO. It's not intuitive and processes are very lengthy, even to attach candidates to jobs, which should be one - two clicks. Search isn't that great and again, cumbersome. I am a sole proprietor so perhaps this may be better for a larger shop, but I still think there are systems out there that are much easier to use.

Recommendations to other buyers: It might be a good solution for a larger agency, but not a sole proprietor who does retain search and finds candidates through sourcing, vs. posting replies.

Pros: Outlook portal, Capture feature for social networks.

Cons: Inability to link Chrome to the outlook portal when using the "Capture feature.

Overall: We have been with PCR for close to 15 years, the new tools they have come out with making it easier to use than ever before. The "Capture" feature, the Outlook, portal, and the ability to integrate with our Outlook calendar are game changers. The training and tech support have been excellent as we are in the midst of a major database update.

This is an awesome system for a small to medium size organization that is growing. We've had the pleasure of expanding our organization and were able to do so easily in PCRecruiter!

Comments: I had been with Bullhorn for 20 years and saw the functionality decrease over time, while the monthly costs tripled. This May, they ended Inbox support so I switched to PC Recruiter, which was a 60% monthly cost savings with far better functionality, including the ability to incorporate social Media, LinkedIn and Facebook, into contact data.

Comments: There are several features of the program, however, there are several steps to do an action that should take one or two clicks to accomplish. The viewing and setup aren't user-friendly and could use some work. They make it difficult to edit things such as lists or "rollups" you create and the search function isn't ideal. I would like to have more flexibility when searching for candidates within the system. It would also be nice to have an easier way of reporting and matching candidates to open positions as well as seeing the activity in that position. Definitely, more account manager/sales driven.

Pros: The parsing or "capture" capability from LinkedIn is a nice feature as it will use the picture and put it in the system as well.

Cons: It is more company focus rather than candidate overall. I would like to have something that was more of candidates with more detailed profiles and easy to navigate searches.

Pros: It works! It provides us all the functionality we use on a daily basis. In fact, it provides far more than we actually use.

Overall: We have been a customer for a long time. We evaluate the market and competitors products every couple years and continue to stick with PCR. We have found PCR to give us the all the necessary functionality at a great value.

Comments: I completed a demo with a sales representative. The functionality was impressive. It was fully comprehensive with nicely color coded activities. It was mobile, , web / cloud based which is nice. Integrated with job board companies was also very easy to use. As a start up staffing agency it was more than what we wanted or needed. It was a little out of my personal budget but I would absolutely recommend this software.

Comments: Having used PCR for about 14 years, I've been very pleased with the company, product, and support. The ability to customize various fields, forms, etc. allows us to really sharpen the saw in our business. Example? We are able to produce robust client reports driven by metrics and share them with our clients.

As with most tools, PCR does require new user acclimation but the intuitive web-based interface is fairly easy to navigate. More detailed knowledge is required to program certain customizations but the Main Sequence Team customer support is excellent and they stand ready to assist!

The company also asks its users what features are important to them and most often, deploys them. The hallmark of any strong software company is paying attention to the voice of the customer.

Recommendations to other buyers: In sum, PCR should be on your short list if you are considering a robust ATS.

Overall: I have used PCRecruiter for over 10 years now. The product takes some time to learn, but once you invest the time to learn it's functions, it provides an amazing solution for the recruiting function. I have used this product in three different companies and implemented it with two clients at the corporate HR level. Because of its flexibility, PCRecruiter can be just about anything you need it to be... and MORE.

The training department and technical support have always been able to get me and my team back on track when we have had issues. Up time is extremely important to us and our clients, and PCRecruiter has never failed us. I can think of only one time in the past 10 years where we have had a system failure that lasted about two hours. The product is very reliable.

You need to spend the time necessary to learn the product. It's not necessarily a con, but more an investment. You will get as much out of this product as you put in. Spend the time with the training department and implementation team to explain exactly what you are trying to do and they can make it happen. Another option is to ask them for best practices... either way, if you are willing to learn how to use the product, it will pay off tremendously.

Cons: Sometimes customization requires a lot of adjustment to work just depending on what you are trying to do and reporting can be a little confusing until you spend some time on it. We have been using PCR8 still so some of this may have been improved in V9.

Overall: Our agency has been working with the PCRecruiter software since 2011 when we adapted it to our use for job placement services in the public workforce system. We started our on a totally paper-driven filing system. With our focus of helping prepare job seekers for the interview process and recruiting for employers to fill their job orders, we needed a software tool that could provide the recruiting tools but also an electronic file management system to track data on the job seekers and their activity. PCRecruiter provided all of that and then some with a little help from the MainSequence software development team. Since our use extended beyond the basic focus of the system it took a fair amount of customizing profiles, activities, reports, and related to get it right to where we needed the software to be. Fortunately PCR allows for this. You can customize a large portion of the software to meet your individual needs. The support techs were very helpful in creating our first evolution and we have continued to refine our database since that time. I think I've only stumped the techs once or twice but they eventually uncovered the solution to my issue/question. Once we pioneered the system for our workforce needs, several other partner agencies and employers also picked up on this great tool and began using it when they saw how effective it was with data management. The speed at which we can pull demographic data and get a snapshot of current recruiting patterns is great. Yes, the costs associated can be tough depending on your number of users but this is true for any of the top recruiting/electronic file management systems. It takes a little getting used to at first, especially some of the Admin functions, but once you have the basics down the software becomes very intuitive. Rarely have we found something that we could not get the software to do. Overall, an essential workforce/recruiting software tool to help efficiently maintain information.

Comments: The initial conversations/demos that we went through worked very well and the functionality that was shown was extremely appealing. PCR worked well for about the first month and a half and then issue after issue kept coming up...first the LinkedIn integration tool wasn't working on one employees computer which then slowly made it to the rest of the company. Then, the Outlook stand-alone browser (which you have to use in order to have PCR log emails) didn't work. Over the course of the next two months, neither of these tools were ever resolved and after bringing up the issues over and over again (that kept getting ignored since it was clear they didn't have a solution) we cut ties since they weren't even willing to offer us any sort of refund or discount and seeing that those were the two items that we were the most excited to use, the product held no value.

Pros: Unfortunately, there aren't too many things that come to mind.

Cons: The lack of solutions was the biggest, any time an issue arose, there were always "very helpful" people to let us know that they were on it right away (but then tried to sell us on some new functionality). The price they charge for a tool that doesn't work was very disappointing.

Recommendations to other buyers: Have a backup plan for them to refund you if certain tools aren't working. They're not in any rush to fix existing issues since they're more concerned about pushing out new functionality so be cautious.

Pros: Layouts setup exactly how and where I want see the information helps productivity. Entering candidate resumes and personal data is highly automated. Individual users can set it up the way they want to create a workflow that makes the most sense for them.

Cons: PCR is optimized for Chrome.

Overall: PCRecruiter lets me easily configure the system to the way I think and work, without having to worry about functionality or programming. Setting up form letters and agreements to populate candidate/client specifics, save preparation time and enable fast, accurate action.

Comments: After using PC Recruiter for several months one thing that has to be said is that it has been a breath of fresh air compared to some competitors.

Being located in Australia and having technical support in the US was daunting initially however the sales and training representatives for our region are on the front line when it comes to helping solve any issues or questions relating to functionality.

It is value for money compared to some competitors, even after converting to Australian dollars. Other similarly priced solutions (and there are not many) do not provide the functionality and customisation options that PCR delivers.

Whilst there is always room for more features and I do feel that there are a few that need to be implemented, there are regular improvements and features added every month or so which improve the user experience and the workflow. PCR appears to be driven to constantly improve the product and I am hopeful this will continue.

Comments: I like PCR now that I received more training. The only problem is that you cannot upload a file of resumes as fast.

Pros: Easy to use, reliable, scale-able, customizing options galore, can be conformed to fit your style, and is easy to use 'on the fly'. For beginners and advanced users, there is excellent training available. If you're stumped on an issue there is excellent LIVE support available. And these are knowledgeable support people who understand our business.

Cons: I honestly don't have a complaint!

Overall: I've used Main Sequence's PCR for many years and it is truly the recruiter's companion. Do you think you have what it takes to bill a million plus? You might, yet not without the right tracking software. I should know because I've billed many millions using this system and this is the system that made it possible. High billing activity takes a system that is easy to use, scale-able to large volumes of activity yet useful for part timers, saves time, performs solidly, and has the backing of a knowledgeable support team. I've explored the options and nothing compares.

Recommendations to other buyers: I recommend using both the Web version and the Portal versions in unison. It's the best of both worlds if you enjoy using MS Outlook.

Pros: It has a lot of power once you learn the ropes.

Cons: No texting feature or method to broadcast text on a rollup
No search feature on manage profiles page and you have to go thru the list to find what you want.

Overall: The service at PCR is great. Sean McLaughlin is always incredibly helpful and a pleasure to work with! The service team is kind, patient and diligent in helping you.

Comments: It is an applicant tracking system that I started using regularly (after intensive training) in June 2016. The software is pretty user friendly, once everything is set up. It took them a while to start the training (not sure if it was circumstantial or if this is regular practice). Then, it took a little while to get everything set up for the connections between the PCR and the web and email extensions. Once all is set up, it¿s relatively easy to utilize, however gets a little cumbersome when you need to make changes or add fields, etc and training is a must.

Pros: Great features! Has everything you need in a staffing agency ATS system

Cons: Cumbersome and time consuming to set up and get ready (between working with the software company training and set up team and own team ...it took about a month and a half, it also takes time to make changes or add fields

Recommendations to other buyers: There is setup cost that I think are unnecessary even though it is less than other companies.

Pros: Very customizable, easy CSV data import, good email integration.

Cons: Every task takes a long time, and there is no way to quickly screen through candidates in a pipeline. Customization is great, but finding where to customize is not intuitive. It also lacks modern interface and continued development seems slow. No trial period.

Overall: After trying PCR for a few months we decided to go back to our old ATS. There is no question that PCR is powerful, but it is probably too powerful for the average user. I need my recruiters to be successful quickly, and there is certainly a large learning curve. We also all agreed that tasks took much longer in PCR and a lot of modern shortcuts were missing. I think PCR could be great with continual development to keep things fresh and modern. An overall UX/UI facelift is badly needed. More integration partners would also be nice. I will say that customer service was wonderful. They really worked with me to make it work, but there were some things my organization simply could not overcome that cost us valuable time. I do wish they had refunded my setup fee, which was supposed to be for website integration... we never got that far.

Recommendations to other buyers: Insist on a trial. They do not offer one, but I find that the things that are important are often not obvious during a guided demo.

Comments: I found the product to not be very user friendly. I can recruit faster from out Outlook email - I simply type in a few key words and boom, I get many applications at my finger tips. I'd like a software to have an option to enter an applicant and track them all the way through to termination/layoff, with readily available tags showing his reasons for leaving, eligible to be rehired, etc. PCR just didn't have that that I could find. There were multiple click you had to go through to get to the tracking part. Egh, we don't use that any more.

Pros: PC Recruiter is a pretty good software to use.

Cons: I find myself getting frustrated with their resume inhaler function. The way I use this software is more of a repository for resumes. I don't use it for client management at all. I wish it was a little easier to use but I'm not unhappy with it.

Recommendations to other buyers: I've tried a variety of these types of products. Go with the cheapest one. Nowadays everything is pretty good and these companies try and rope you into buying packages that sound great but that you'll never realistically use...

Comments: Our recruiting firm reviewed 4 software systems and this was our 2nd favorite. Some great features, including backend (payroll) functions, but ultimately went with another system.

Pros: Backend (payroll) functions--a great timesaver! Customizable dashboards, reports & web links. Post to FB & LinkedIn.

Cons: High $$ start-up fee; we would have to scan all our current documents (that we don't have electronically) to import into system. Resume "inhaler" then parses info into one of 3 subfolders. Too many steps.

Recommendations to other buyers: A good software system, but we ultimately went with another one that fit our needs better.

Pros: The product is set up in a way that parallels the way we run our recruitments.

Cons: Salespeople provide support during the set up. Hard to get help since they are focused on selling, not supporting.

Recommendations to other buyers: When you aren't getting responses from your representative, call the main number. Also, be sure you know the steps in your process and look at how the system will work with your process at each step. We found we needed some customization for candidate registration.

Pros: All the wishes and ideas I had for Bullhorn, were in PCR. Bullhorn may have them now, yet the ability to have full reporting features (without extra costs), automated emails, roll up lists, scheduling events, rating systems, Outlook integration (without the extra costs) was amazing! Plus, the were excellent on contractual obligations, and very flexible.

Cons: Right now, as all tracking systems, it does feel like a challenge to get use to a brand new system and logic. Yet this is for most systems. It would be nice if their 1 user package was just a bit less expensive, though they did work with me on start up costs.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure the full package is what you get. PCR will give you the cart AND the horse. Other ATS's tend to give you a base package (that doesn't fit most ATS needs) and then try to sell the Cadillac package after you lock in, which you really do need.

Pros: PC Recruiter is a relatively inexpensive basic recruiting tool. For a small business it provides a reasonable capability to track and categorize candidates.

Cons: Poor customer service response. Tried to call early on, and did not receive a response. I stopped trying to use the tool.

Recommendations to other buyers: Could be more intuitive. I took over a tool with little recruiting experience, and I found the GUI and usage to be a bit complex.

Pros: The cost is low, so we have a place to store resumes and post jobs without breaking the bank.

Cons: The customer service is terrible. I reached out for a demo and some general questions when I started with the company. It's been 6 months and I still haven't heard back or been reached out to.

Pros: The customizability and functionality are excellent.

Cons: While it's easy to add info from a LinkedIn profile to the PCR database, it's not possible to edit the info before it's ingested. For instance, I'd like to be able to put certain candidates in one folder or tear sheet while putting others on a different one. The only way to do this is to individually go through after ingesting the profiles and sort them into lists.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you use LinkedIn as your primary candidate database, definitely take a look at PCR's LinkedIn Chrome extension. While it doesn't have official LI integration like Bullhorn does, PCR is actually MUCH superior at quickly ingesting candidate info into your database. Also make sure that the UI and workflow feel comfortable to you. The way that PCR is laid out makes a lot of sense to me, but my coworker had a hard time figuring things out. It doesn't have the same level of user friendliness as Bullhorn, but that doesn't mean that it's not as powerful!

Pros: Product has a very rich toolkit of functionality. The people with whom you interact at Main Sequence are very friendly, responsive, and helpful. Pricing model is consistent with the competition. Thorough understanding of how Staffing Agencies function.

Cons: Unfortunately the User Interface is awful, requires too many mouse clicks to accomplish simple tasks, makes terrible use of screen "real estate," and has the look and feel of a pre-90's product; not in any way up-to-date with Web 2.0 functionality. It's unfortunate, really, because the product does just about anything that a staffing agency would want - just very clunky (and for the uninitiated very confusing). It feels like the company has grown complacent because of its very large install base.

Recommendations to other buyers: As with all vendors, 1) ask if you can have access to a "sand-box" environment to test the product, 2) evaluate the product against your list of feature "must haves," and 3) consider who your end-users will be and what their technical proficiency is. This product was so clunky to use that most of the recruiters in our office, and the other 14 around the country, never really used it much.

Pros: This is a very comprehensive product with a ton of functionality. Some of the strengths are the intuitiveness of tracking candidates through the pipeline, their templates, their very tight integration with Outlook, their on-boarding training and their customer service. They have some great people over there and they're all very professional, responsive and helpful.

Cons: The biggest downside for me is that although any email you receive through Outlook will automatically be synced with the candidate or contact record as long as there's an email address match, there's no way to turn this off, and there's no way to force a sync of that email with a different record. For example, if I am corresponding with a hiring manager about multiple candidates, I don't want all of those emails attached to the hiring manager's record because I won't be able to find anything later when I need it. What I want is to be able to attach that correspondence to the respective candidate it pertains to. This was a show-stopper for me, but they have a large customer-base so apparently it isn't for a lot of people.

Recommendations to other buyers: Figure out how you operate as a recruiter on a daily basis and find the software that will best help you facilitate that.

Comments: Last year I spent a great deal of time evaluating cloud based tracking systems. I have been recruiting for 22 years and have experience with a few providers' recruiting software solutions.
I evaluated several solutions and narrowed my search down to three companies. We looked at ease of use, price point, functionality and technical support as the key criteria in making our decision. I can tell you unequivocally, PC Recruiter was the best solution for our firm. Easy enough to use "out-of-the-box", yet robust enough to allow for customization to suit the needs of our firm. The technical support has been very responsive, professional and consistent. I am very happy with our decision and could not be more pleased with PC Recruiter. If you are evaluating software solutions for your firm, I am confident that you will be as pleased as we are with the product and the people at PC Recruiter. Comments: I'm quite honestly amazed there is anything listed other than a below average review for this software platform. PCRecruiter, PCR from here on out, has been one of the single most frustrating programs/softwares/apps I have ever tried to use. There's nothing streamlined or simplistic about using PCR, form a user experience standpoint. From major job functionality, put a grinding halt to daily operations issues to admittedly more nitpicky grievances.

Pros: - Generally good Customer service. They do their best with absurd limitations in the program.

Cons: - Almost literally everything - Customizing anything is like pulling teeth - Training was misleading, as our more raw data transferred in was not nearly so seamless to use - Data transfer could've been improved - Poor integration to social media - Every single window, tab, button, etc. is decidedly annoying to use, and for some reason there is no ability to change size. So if you can't see everything you want to see better scroll through 200 lines to find it... carefully.... so you don't miss something - User Experience, in its entirety, is atrocious.... honestly, are the updates being rolled out from 2001 or has no one noticed how the rest of the internet has changed since then

Comments: The PCRecruiter software is intuitive and easy to learn. The staff was outstanding in transferring our existing data into their format. Training was interactive and assisted us in quickly being able to get right to work after the conversion. On-going support or questions have been timely.

The website interface and parsing tools have saved hours of work.

I highly recommend this product.
