Pros

I like that it has exercises that keep you involved throughout the day. The rewards for being active are a nice bonus.

Cons

I don't like that some of the task or exercises are not relevant to me. Uploading pictures is too time consuming and I usually avoid those exercises.

Learn a lot of exercises that I don't think I would do in between working, watching TV or while I am cooking

Cons

Sometime it freeze and have to re-start it. Also some of the goal may disappear once a while and I have to add it again

It is good to be recognized and rewarded for trying to live & promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

Pros

As a member of the Wellness Committee who promotes this tool, I find it easy because the exercises are fun, the information is useful, the points awarded and collected are exchanged for great prizes.

Cons

The turnaround time for point redemption is way too long. Users should not have to wait months to get their e-gift cards.

Pros

I like the idea of promoting good behavior in employees and coworkers. Optimity makes it easier to start good habits and stick with them.

Cons

I don't love the reward structure, it is difficult to accumulate enough rewards to redeem for anything of value. Also, do not like that a health app promotes constant phone checking.

I would take a break from my computer and move around. Good exercise routines.

Pros

Easy to use. Keeps you active. Liked the variety of activities, you can even do them at the airport when you are waiting for a flight.

Cons

Too many activities per day. Could not keep up with my team. They were ahead of me all the time. I didn't know if they were actually doing the activity or just saying they did.

Pros

I like that it notifies you to take action

Cons

It's difficult to figure out. I tried to invite coworkers/friends and it doesn't allow me.

Health benefits and the desire to move from my desk day-to-day.

Pros

Ease of use, ability to set alerts for healthy functions, ease of obtaining rewards and the ability to link wearables to the application.

Cons

Could better link with other fitness apps such as Nike+, otherwise not much to report in terms of negatives.

Pros

It's a good motivator and as I am already tracking my steps, it helps to keep me moving. The reminds to do certain activities is great because it reminds you to stay active during the day.

Cons

It would be better if we could customize activities more and it seems like obtaining rewards has become more difficult so it decreases motivation a bit.

Cons

I didn't like that it was not linked to other applications to offer some kind of incentive such as Scene Points, Rewards

Motivation to maintain health and wellness via specific goals. Metrics to monitor performance are specific, which further help to drive performance.

Pros

Pushes alerts to your notifications bar on a relevant and timely basis. App is very intuitive and accurate displays information that you can use to monitor your health.

Cons

Too many notifications, especially when other users are active on the app. App also has connectivity issues on occasion when connecting using public wifi.

Pros

I like the mini tasks and challenges that are suggested to be performed daily. The activities are great to be performed as breaks at work and throughout the day.

Cons

The rewards platform has disappeared. There really is very little that now separates this from other apps, in fact I think some apps have a better style and design.

Pros

The water duck which is very very amusing. The extended certificate selection was a great improvement.

Cons

I wish you could do multiple exercises in a section in a day. If people are to truly benefit, it will be important for them to do more exercise.

Pros

The ability to compete with other people within the community and see what challenges everyone has been completing.

Cons

There were some software issues (e.g. the meals from different countries) where the functionality could not be used. Also, it was not straight forward how rewards could be redeemed (and they expired extremely quickly - the day after).

Pros

Motivates you to be more active. Helps stay focused and energized at work with small and effective exercises.

Cons

Needs to sync with other apps more frequently. Include more desk exercises. Maybe include some breathing techniques that will help with overall body energy. Also, count calories based on diet and activities throughout the day.

Pros

It is free when I joined. I like that there's a variety of things that it reminds you to do, including counting your daily water intake, different kinds of stretches, and other questions.

Cons

It takes a very long time to get a reward, and oftentimes there's no validation of whether you actually completed the activity so you could cheat on the answer.

It keeps you going.

Pros

The reminders to do your exercises! The exercises and the readings were all beneficial. I liked how they were all convenient to do at work at my desk if needed.

Cons

Repetitive exercises and readings. I would like to see some changes. Some of the material got boring just because we had already read something similar or done similar exercise.

I did not use the software long enough to see any benifits.

Pros

It was easy to use as far as the app itself, aside from tracking steps. The activities were fun and quick.

Cons

The steps that would record on my Samsung phone would not get recorded on my Optimity profile. I stopped using it due to not being able to keep track of my steps on the app.

I love that it's a friendly competetion with my coworkers, it's a great motivation tool to get some exercise done and I love posting pictures of my meal.

Cons

I dislike the fact that you cannot enter a workout other than steps. I love doing classes at the gym but cannot enter it in the app to give me points.

The competitive aspect with other users. Did not inspire me to try harder if I was in the bottom half of the group.

Pros

The reminders that are sent out on a frequent basis- they help me get up and moving during the day which in turn helps my energy level.

Cons

The rewards system feels rather gimmicky- I tried to redeem my points for a Sephora gift card and I never received it :(
