Pros: Record calls automatically is the best thing that can happen on call centers. You do not have to worry about click windows or buttons to record all calls.

Cons: There should be an option to pause the recordings. Only the admin can access to them which is a good thing. There should be an option to pause them, but I have not figured it out yet.

We use this as our main phone service. I love that we can forward to our cell phones or use phone.

Pros: I love that we can have a desktop version or have it ring to our cell phones. I also enjoy how easy it is to record personalized messages. Another feature that is great is the fax feature. Being able to send and receives faxes without a fax machine is fantastic.

Cons: I don't like how sometimes it changes the routing of the phone calls without us having changed anything. Currently my line rings straight to my cell phone instead of first going to my desktop and I didn't do anything to make that happen. I wish it didn't do that.

Overall: It is a great priced phone system. Very happy with the value.

Pros: - Good call quality. Since it's VoIP, I was worried about call quality and dropped calls - but we've had RingCentral almost 2 years and I've never had an issue. It's all dependent on your internet connection, so if your internet is not great, then RingCentral probably isn't the best option for you. - Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to manage accounts and set up new users. - Great if you don't have a receptionist, or if most of your employees work remotely. You can have physical phones, as well as and app so that employees can use their cell phones. - Much cheaper than most standard phone carriers. - Fax option is great, you don't have to have a real fax machine - just a scanner.

Cons: - Implementation wasn't hard, but their administrative account is not the most user friendly. There are a ton of settings options, and if you don't use the phone system exactly how RingCentral assumes you will, it can take a while to configure your way and get around certain defaults. - Customer service is about what you'd expect - only a call center with agents that are hard to understand. Luckily we only needed customer service during implementation, we haven't had any issues since. - Employees will need to be trained, you can't just hand them the phone and account and tell them to run with it. One older employee had an extremely hard time with faxing - couldn't get over the fact that there wasn't a real fax machine.

Pros: I like that when I get a call through the app on my phone, it rings over as a normal call, but still shows that it is from Ring Central. I can use it on my Desktop as well as my phone which makes taking calls on the fly easier. I like that I can send and receives texts as well

Cons: It is slow to update when I have a new text or missed call. I will get an email, or notification from the app, but it takes a minute to actually show up in the app.

Pros: The features that are available are great. Setting the system up and new users wasn't nearly as difficult as expected. The app (both on mobile and desktop) is great and fully functional. The ability to text is a bonus!

Cons: The call quality is usually very good, but there can be delays when speaking on the phone. Some of the Customer Center call queue configurations aren't as fully functioned as what our old system had, but we are adjusting.

Overall: It allows us to make calls and manage our call queues with ease. So far, our team has been very pleased with the call quality and feature set available (although, we are excited about more possibilities).

Pros: The voip quality, especially with the HD voice, is amazing! You need to be sure that you have a good mic and headset to take advantage of it, otherwise you wouldn't see too much improvement. The bandwidth requirements are minimal and I rarely have issues with calls/faxes/messages.
Being able to call, fax, and message to/from DIDs is really handy and makes this service even more valuable to have.

Cons: Support has historically been hit or miss at times, but overall has been very helpful and productive to work with.

Comments: I find it very easy to use and very user friendly.

Pros: I love how easy it is to transfer calls between different depts. I love the hold and ring tone music it has.

Cons: I don't like some of the ringtones.

I love having the ability to connect with my clients with video conferencing.

Pros: Simple to use. Loads quickly and all attendees are easily visible via video. I like that I can screen share and that others can do the same.

Cons: The invitation to attendees isn't very flashy and it doesn't include the date and time in it so I have to add that info each time.

Pros: Does exactly what I need it to do, call quality is great, easy to administer (once its setup) features that would normally require a very expensive phone system now at our disposal.

Cons: The backend can be confusing the first few times you log in, I can easily see how a non tech person could get a bit overwhelmed with all the options. There can be lots of fees besides the base cost per month.

Overall: Gives our company the phone system capabilities of a much fancier and more expensive system.

Pros: Our company switched over to RingCentral earlier this year and we are extremely pleased. The implementation process went really well. The customer service department is probably the best of all of the CS depts we have to work with regularly. They're incredibly helpful and kind. Everything seems to work well as is planned to. I can't think of anything that has been a big issue that has been the fault of RingCentral. Most issues we've had have been network or phone related and not specific to RC services. We are very pleased. Just wish it were cheaper.

Cons: There is little i can complain about. We are quite happy with our service with RingCentral. Just wish it were a little cheaper.

Ring Central is a great system for small businesses. Love the phone App, makes it easy on the go!

Pros: The best part about this software is the phone App. You can control everything from your phone, including calling from your business number from anywhere. Conferencing and Meetings are especially easy from your phone, so missing a meeting due to being stuck in traffic is no longer an excuse! I love Glip, the new messaging ability as well.

Cons: It would be nice to have a little better connection with Gmail, but as far as phone systems go, I get everything I need and more.

Overall: Easy on the go use. It's like you're never away from your desk.

Pros: Trust me I've looked into other companies and no other will deliver like RingCentral.There's never any service interruption and the price is great for our small business and it gives us the flexibility to look as big or small as we want.

Cons: Customer Service is great but sometimes communication with reps can be frustrating but overall they are great.

Pros: Reliability is most important, and it has been very reliable. We used it every week with multiple users for internal meetings, and frequently for external meetings, as well as conference calls and even webinar purposes overseas. Always worked well.

Pros: Functionality is decent, and covers most of what my business wanted in terms of flexibility and convenience.

Cons: The support is absolutely unacceptable. Transitioning was a major pain, and involved the RC team not adhering to the schedule we agreed on, resulting in my business losing phone coverage and having to scramble. The sales people are competent, but once they have your money you get shoveled through to people who are difficult to communicate with and aren't very interested in anything other than getting you off the phone as quickly as possible. Don't expect any follow-through at all once you're no longer physically on the phone with them, and get ready to be transferred and put on hold without notice. If you go with these guys anyway, make sure to record the name of everyone you speak with, so you can at least call out who's responsible for your bad service when you send through your inevitable complaints.

Overall: Increased functionality relative to our old provider, Jive.

Comments: We have 20 locations all using Ring Central and it's a huge help.

Pros: Hard and Softphone capable - if you have people like me that travel around, having an easy to use softphone is mandatory Great Android app - app works just like you'd hope for it to Simple call recordings Easy conference

Cons: Backend dashboard is a little clunky but it's fine once you figure it out I really wish they added the ability to function as a call tracking system as well

In my experience, the customer service was not that consistent.

Pros: I like that this software offers so many features and that it operates on an established platform with an overall good reputation to back it up.

Cons: Unfortunately, we have not had the be best customer service experience. Some of the reps and tried the hard sell (which is real turn-off) and then you might get a rep. who respects your budget and is willing to discuss what is best for you based on that and the needs you express.

Pros: The ease of scheduling a meeting and inviting people in the e-mail is very helpful. I love the mobile app but it doesn't offer 100% functionality as compared to the desktop version. Still, it enjoys the same level of attention to HD quality that RingCentral does, so call quality is constantly being monitored to assure your video and audio connection is as good as it can be, whether you're using WiFi or cell service to connect to the call.

Pros: Never had any downtime with RingCentral, which is a big deal to compensate for the fact that we all work remotely. It's important to feel that we can JUST call.

We had the occasional weird softrware incompatibility issues withe some USB headsets with the Softphones, but besides that, it felt like it just worked.

We have always been able to set up any menu tree, any re-routing option, any special hours of operation we wanted to, in order to suit our occasional business quirks.

They have also been quite flexible with our contract, with the occasional downgrade, even when they did not have to.

RingCentral also helps us comply with HIPAA standard, which allows us to have health-realted video calls with our clients on a secure platform. The video calls are really quite good, with little to no lag. RingCentral Meetings seems to be another one of their services that seems to just work.

The admin portal seems to get better and better, and easier and easier to use. Even though it has a very extensive list of features and options, we seem to be able to manage each individual line ourselves almost all the time and do everything we need to without calling tech support for help.

Cons: The only cons I can think of are the price (although not as high as 8x8) and the occasional (quite rare, really) long wait time to call support.

It can feel a bit overwhelming at first because of all the options and features, but once the initial setup is done, it should be fine.

Overall: It's really quite something to have a portable phone system that you can use on any device that can access the internet.

Pros: I love being able to take my office phone calls on my cell while away from the office. The fax feature from my phone is invaluable, and I love the GLIP app which allows me to have "facetime" meetings with my team.

Cons: There are times when the GLIP app can be unstable. We have five schools right now and we only have 3 of them using RingCentral right now. The biggest con is that it takes forever for our current phone company (BIRCH) to release our numbers!

Pros: I like the admin portal the most. You can do everything you need to under it and manage billing and each line individually.

Cons: It's pretty expensive and it seems like you could just have a corporate cell phone plan instead at the same cost.

Overall: It's a phone service so it does work for that and at the end of the day, that's really all I need for it to do.

Pros: Desktop application is very easy to use and figure out. Doesn't take much technology knowledge to get the service working.

Cons: In the beginning of the using the product, we had a few issues with the service dropping mid-call. This was confirmed to be on RingCentrals end too.

Pros: The support staff provided individualized attention to assist with onboarding of the software's many features and resolving concerns.

Cons: I had to find out about the contact centre services myself. My own account manager who was my first point of contact provided little assistance to me after I signed the contract. However, once I connected with the contact centre, I really felt like the team "has my back"

Overall: The multi-level IVR enhances and connection music elevates the image of my law firm.

Pros: The RingCentral app is very straight forward, and simple to use! It does exactly what you need it to do. Which is make calls and send texts.

Cons: The cons for this app is the integration issues. It doesn't appear to integrate with the apps we primary use. It also had quite a few dropped calls, or just random errors.

Pros: NONE. Quality issues on a large network that they cant resolve, we confirmed Ive done everything on my side that is possible. The other issue is that half the time I call there customer support department I have to tell them how to do there job... very frustrating.

Cons: Our company purchase Ring Central thinking it would save us money by consolidating the phones and webinar. The lines are horrible. When you call someone, there's a delay then you hear your own voice in the background as you are speaking and you are talking over your caller too!

Overall: As a smaller company, ringcentral worked okay for us. But as we grew the call quality we received continued to get worse. We would try to work with the support to figure out what was going on but we could never fully resolve the issues.

Pros: Did a lot of homework for an affordable solution for one issue. I needed to route my business calls through my cell phone without giving away my cell phone number. This software allows that via an easy to use app.

Cons: The only issue you'll have is trying to stay up to date on all the new services they are always providing. I get emails monthly on a new service that is available to me, or an upgrade of some kind, and though I don't need it, I appreciate their effort to stay best in class.

Overall: All I cared about was the ability to route call to my cell (and return calls as needed) without giving my personal cell number out. This service allowed for that, and made it easy. It was a very specific reason for me choosing them. Couldn't be happier!

Pros: I like that I can get my work phone calls anywhere - my cell or home! I like that it emails me my faxes and my voicemails.

Cons: It takes a long time to get set up and to transfer the phone numbers from our previous carrier. But after that, I think it will be smooth sailing!

Overall: More accessibility to my phone calls, faxes, and texts.

Pros: I like this product a lot! I love that I can use my computer for everything and not need to have a landline phone. I can fax from my phone and receive faxes. I can review everything and save it without ever needing to print it and wasting paper!

Cons: I do not like that if I log into one computer with my extension information, I cannot then go to another computer and log in. I have to deauthorize the computer I was using, and authorize the new computer. This makes it difficult when switching between a desktop and a laptop. I do have unlimited sign ins with smart phones and tablets though.

Ring Central is far from my first choice for VOIP

Pros: I do like the voicemail feature and how it is sent to my email. It makes it easy to keep track of missed calls.

Cons: It drops connection far too often. It frequently will say it's "reconnecting". It also rarely gives me the ability to transfer calls to my coworkers when necessary. Overall, it's just inconsistent.

Overall: I did like being able to give my clients a direct number rather than an extension, but that didn't outweigh the issues I had with the product.

Pros: Easy to use, instant notifications of incoming calls, all pertinent information included with message, good customer service

Cons: The ability to call customers back from the app has a delay and poor sound quality, so I typically have to write down the number and call them back from a normal line. When I'm away from my desk and only have my personal cell phone, I prefer not to use it because I don't want tenants having my personal information, so this is the only main con.

Overall: Great way for tenants to call in and inquire about rental properties or report maintenance issues.

Pros: It works. Cloud based setup that doesn't require hardware. Nice looking application. Easy to use.

Cons: No method of tracking calls or metrics It just doesn't do much outside of answering phones for you. Customer service was lacking when I used it.

This makes managing quality control for our scheduling department a breeze!

Pros: I like how well organized and easily accessible the audio recordings are plus the recording quality is incredibly clear, which has helped tremendously in making sure processes and protocol are being implemented and executed properly.

Overall: It has helped the training in our scheduling department tremendously!
I have no complaints with this software; it has worked exactly as described and done exactly what I need it to do.

Pros: Easily transfer calls to any number all online. I love the ability to review all messages in the application allowing me to be anywhere (away from my phone). Being able to send and receive fax messages through the system is huge as well!

Pros: Simple to add contacts. You have the ability to have multiple extensions if needed. It is easy to tell where/who the faxes came from and you can respond simply by clicking on the number or contact it came from. You are able to create a cover sheet when uploading the needed file(s). You can easily tell if the full fax was received because it will show the number of pages that are supposed to have come through.

Cons: A couple businesses have had issues sending faxes to us; but the problem is more than likely on their end and not related to RingCentral. Everything else about the software has worked smoothly.

Overall: Easily send and receive faxes without having to worry about the confidentiality of the information included in the faxes.

Pros: Integrates across desktop and mobile apps along with desk phone. Handles both inbound and outbound fax and calls with the same line. Call quality is good and connections are reliable.

Cons: They really REALLY want you to use their Glip service and for a while the iOS app was asking you to rate their app multiple times a week. There's some quirks such as missed calls don't want to sync between the desk phone and the app.

Overall: Business phone and fax with on demand call recording.

Pros: Use this software for our e-fax. It's worked well for us so far. We get our faxes right to our email and it makes the fax process a lot easier and definitely faster.

Pros: I have just in the past couple weeks started using RingCentral for our office and the difference is night and day! We had been using an old Rolodex with business cards. That was copied onto an excel sheet. Everything had to be updated all the time and when it was updated, the entire staff would not always get the memo. With RingCentral, everyone's business contacts are updated simultaneously. We no longer have nearly the headaches we used to. If you have an office ten people or more, I would highly recommend looking into RingCentral!

Cons: The only negative thing about RingCentral is that if you are not around wifi, it can run up your data charges with your carrier if you are not careful. I think you can fix that in settings though.

Comments: RingCentral works great for VOIP and offers useful features, from call forwarding to custom hold options. The iPhone app, however, is spotty. It is common for us to see that we have a voicemail via email notification, but no message replay on the mobile device.

Pros: It is very hand to be able to forward actual messages to other company members. I also like being able to send calls to my land line. And compared to three other VOIP providers for business, the pricing is the best.

Cons: The mobile app! Also, tech support is pretty non-existent.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you don't mind resetting the mobile app, RingCentral is a reliable VOIP option.

Overall: RingCentral is a slick way to fill the need of a digital fax machine right on your desktop. If you are like me and prefer to create .pdfs as fax packages, RingCentral is for you. Simply input the fax number you are transmitting to, select whether or not you want to include a cover sheet (RingCentral makes it very easy to create a custom cover sheet on-the-spot for that particular fax) and upload your file. Hit send and you are golden. Send faxed immediately or queue them up to strategically send later. Very easy and user-friendly.

Comments: We have used the tool for over 3+ years. It is generally fairly stable, though we did experience issues when we expanded into different geographical areas. Ring Central has a vast variety of features which I think will work for most Mid Size Organizations.They have a phone app which can be downloaded and used. We did not actually need phone lines for every rep because of its technology (I keep forgetting that name) . With this you no longer need a traditional phone. Comments: This seems like a great way to have a portable office and travel for work, work remotely etc. The problems I run into are 1) the desktop app crashing and having to restart everything 2) the annoyance of having to deauthorize other locations 3) having it ring on my cell phone after hours even though I have setup allowable office hour times in my account 4) finding the help I need in their forums/boards and 5) having it just plain not work sometimes.

Seems like a great idea and works as it should about 70% of the time.

Comments: This software is great. I love when software lives in the cloud like this. This stuff is fairly easy to set up, and we rarely need to log in for anything. I love how easy the app is to use and make calls. This is the perfect solution for freelancers who want the flexibility and power of a full fledged system.

Pros: Good performance and optional tools selection. Professional-style tools for conference calls.

Cons: The tools for syncing with Google contacts doesn't work properly. Also, the desktop app takes a long time to update the call log. If you miss a call, you have to look at the smartphone app to see who called.

Overall: This is a handy product! The smartphone app adds a unique and useful tool too. We are a small business and the RingCentral system really help us.

Recommendations to other buyers: Don't use the Google sync option because you can't remove old numbers.

Pros: Seamless and easy to use. The quality of the recordings was good. Ring Central offers a large suite of communication tools. If yu are already using RC, this is a natural add-on.

Cons: I am not a fan of RC's customer service. They always seem to be blaming the customer for the issues. They make no apologies when something goes wrong and service outages more prevalent than one would expect.

Overall: A seamless way to record calls for quality assurance and training purpose. We actually used it in our office to listen back to sales calls of our reps to better analyze what the prospect said and how our rep reacted to it. It also helped us pick out missed opportunities.

Comments: I love having the ability for my customers to contact me through my web site by calling my 800 number and I get an email with the recorded message. Very easy to use!

Pros: Works with no effort if you use the automatic call recording

Cons: You have to make sure that it's turned in for all extensions.

Overall: I started using the call recording to make sure that my employees were taking care of my customers and also to document conversations with customers.

Comments: Our company purchase Ring Central thinking it would save us money by consolidating the phones and webinar. The lines are horrible. When you call someone, there's a delay then you hear your own voice in the background as you are speaking and you are talking over your caller too!

Pros: NONE

Cons: Not worth the aggravation...look for something else!

Overall: Extremely poor customer service and sales. Will lie, steal and cheat. Their prices are high too. Claim they're the biggest but that definitely does not mean the best. Don't ever expect to speak to anyone in the US.

Cons: Customer Support is almost non-existent. It is a waste of time to call them.

Overall: I have used them for 10 years. In the past few months, several of my phones have had issues. Actually, 6 out of 8 phones weren't working. When I call tech support there is always an issue. They can't fix it, they are going to call me back but they don't, they need to get a manager, we get disconnected, etc. After I spent calling them 3 days in a row I gave up and am canceling my service.

Comments: My company started using RingCentral Office about a year ago and it has completely changed communication within our organization and with our customers! The system is completely online, so no need for a bulky office phone on everyone's desk. There are so many customizable features available through RingCentral that would not be as easily possible through a standard phone system. We are able to have separate lines and voicemail boxes for each person and we are able to alter the order of who receives a general line call first. Working remotely has never been easier with RingCentral! I am able to log in to my phone line on the mobile RingCentral app and take calls, send messages and make phone calls just as if I were at my desk! This feature has truly been life changing in our office!

Pros: ease of use, customizable features, easy to work remotely, mobile app

Cons: Because the system is all online, the system has been down a few times in the past year and a half. It was only down for about 30 minutes, but still frustrating! We were unable to contact customer support at that time either.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are contemplating ditching your standard phone system, consider RingCentral Office! The system has helped streamline our office phone system completely! We are able to customize so many features now that were not possible before RingCentral! My favorite part of RingCentral is their mobile app. I can travel and work remotely but still log into my phone line through the app and be able to communicate with colleagues and customers just like I was at my desk!

Comments: Being highly customizable with many features, there is a bit of a learning curve, which is why I gave "ease of use" only 3 stars. Once you get the hang of it, though, it's well worth the complexity. The web conferencing is a great feature. My only other criticism is that the mobile apps have not been reliable.
