It's a nice quick way to see how many times articles are getting shared online. Cons It's not Google, so it won't pull everything. Overall, the design is ok, but could use a little modernizing. You can play with searching and find some gem in process. You have a strong tool to research content in your subject and reduce time to make useless content. That’s great deal. And the support is great, I once messaged them in facebook and they quickly answer all of my questions. Pros The thing I like most when use Social Animal is I can smell what content is trending and best content for my strategy, by that I can do research and have a clear overview for my content plan. More over I can use Social Animal for searching knowledge in some of fields and recognize who is great in the subject I searched. No issues detected Cons I'm still a bit struggeling with the precision of the selection algorithm. Would like to be able to set filters for language etc. as a default. Pros When it finds good results for your search it can give you great competitor or influencer information. The automated mention emails are very useful and probably the best part of the app. If that's all you're looking for, Social Animal is a good option. Cons Unfortunately, a lot of my searches still come up empty. I'm sure this will improve over time, though. Pros It carries over the core features of Buzzsumo into a more affordable package. Cons I would love to have some sort of integrations and automations built-in so I wouldn't have to log in into the web app to check newest updates on the content side. Right now, the search could be upgraded to more advance boolean searches, but that will take time. Pros When you are in need of the software the pros use to create content marketing, Social Animal is the right tool. I am just a keyword away from my next blog post concept with this software package. Cons The search does not have the robust search features that BUZZ SUMO has. I was skeptical that it would help identify trends and important stories about our niche as I’ve used other software that promises similar and the results were very messy. Social Animal is much better than the competition and returned excellent results that I can actually use. Cons It takes a short while to start working at top performance, in terms of getting the search spot-on, but only a week or so. I love how easy it is to set up your alerts and how well you can filter through articles. It's a good alternative to more expensive softwares. Cons I don't like that the alerts cannot be filtered based on language (at least when I tried, about three months ago (today it's 20-7-2020) so that might have changed.) It gave me a lot of spanish results, for a keyword I was testing, for example. That is sub-optimal. Review Source LK Lars K. Pros I think this is a unique social media software in that it actually provides robust content analytics. If you are using influencers in your social campaign, this is also a very useful software. I like that I can find out what types of content are performing for certain topics and build my content strategy based on that. Cons There isn't a lot of data on some of the smaller, more refined niches. I'm not sure where the data is pulled from, but it works best for big, broad topics. Review Source dC dennis C.
