May 24, 2021 5.0 Hello everyone, If you are looking for a flat rate price book for your business in the trades. My opinion is Profit Rhino is amazing. The team is constantly renewing and reviewing prices in the industry to keep up with the vast pace of price changes in the HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing Fields. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] have been absolutely great to work with and have walked me through every process in how this works. It’s super easy to work and very simple if you know your way around a phone, tablet, or laptop. This has changed my business for the better good and I can’t thank Profit Rhino enough for all the things they have helped me with to make my business further exceed. Pros Easy to use, great features with updates, they are improving all the time. As a small business this is great for my company and affordable. Completely customizable. I have tried multiple platforms and this is my favorite. Not matter what platform you get you will have to spend time in it setting it up for your company. Great group of guys to work with and very good support team. Pros The functionality of this software is good. We can easily do add on tasks and change pricing as we see needed. While some of the pricing is out of line, I make some price tweaks to the line items. Pros Profit Rhino is a good starting point but you will still have to make adjustments and additions on your own. Pros This software makes it where my techs (that don't have a lot of experience quoting) can easily give an accurate quote. Pros Profit Rhino is clean and looks very good in front of the customer. Profit Rhino also streamlines the process for my technicians in the home with our customers. Cons Its a quite difficult to get completely setup, and it doesn't have a lot of options for gathering equipment information; ie. model and serial numbers, OR maintenance checklists without pay for extra modules. The new sections for equipment installs is setup backwards as to how it needs to be. Review Source MC Mark C. After being recommended by another contractor on the east coast, we decided to move forward and sign up with Smart Price Pro. So far the onboarding is going great. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is a rock star, she is very knowledgeable with this platform and has answered all our questions up to this point. We are looking forward to going live next month and wait to see the results. Pros So far I like the ability to adjust the costs to our local area. Rep was great and was very knowledgeable about the product. They helped with the start up and has been patient with our team. Customer service is top notch! Our techs seem to like Profit Rhino and it helps bring more profit to our HVAC business!!! Pros I liked how the flat rate system worked well with what we already had going on for our HVAC business. I also like how the price list could go into Housecall Pro. We like that all our technicians have the same prices and pictures for all products and are able to present our customers the products on an IPAD. The price per month and the setup fee are reasonable. Cons We do not currently use all the features that Profit Rhino has to offer (better, best, good options). Customers really like the option boards and being able to choose the level of service they want. Upfront pricing and offering different options gives the customer a sense of being involved in the process just as they should. Pros Software is completely customizable to your business. Pros After implementation, the product works great and has helped raise my average ticket price. Cons I havent been able to really use this product that hard yet because it is slow season, but i have heard from other users that there will be pricing that is way off on some product. Still no first hand experience with that issue first hand though. Reason for choosing Profit Rhino Profit Rhino was cheaper and much easier for a 1 man show to realistically use. Not very good opening for training. Fortunately I finally matched up with a great rep and she walked me through everything with rushing me off the phone. Pros I like the systematic protocol. I love the reminders for other products before the techs sign off. Cons Intial set up. Thousands of products to adjust prices to and its up to the company to do so. November 27, 2018 2.0 It was ok for a base system IMO. as a plumber It was nice to be able to do what i wanted eventually but if paying for a complete setup that had to be rebuilt i was not impressed. i would not use the program. They really need to get people who work in the industry to write their descriptions and fill in materials for jobs. Pros It was cute with pictures and was easy to set up categories & edit. Cons was not right for pricing. had materials listed that would NEVER be used for particular jobs. Descriptions were not very good. i had to rebuild almost everything to how i wanted it to work. Training is available, but you have to know what questions to ask. Pros Built in pricing matrix that is easy to customize to our specifications. Live integration with our CRM. Customizable descriptions and pricing structure by repair. Easy to add categories. Cons A more hands on set up from Profit Rhino would have made the integration smoother. Pros The software as it was delivered was already heavily built out. It was easy to make changes to tailor the product to our needs. The pictures of the products and how things work are great. Cons The software is a little rigid, so not all required features that we would like are possible. I also found some of the pictures of tasks were incorrect, so they had to be changed.
