Like I mentioned, the ease of use for a non-CAD professional and the ability to translate multiple CAD file types makes this program very versatile and an extremely useful tool in my business. Pros As a VP of my company, I am not in the "trenches" of using CAD software. I use this software to view CAD files of incoming RFQs, get box dimensions and take a general view of the part and feasability before the design guys get it. What I like most about this software is the ease of use for someone who is not a CAD/CAM professional and the ability to easily save CAD files as different types. Cons What I would like to be able to do in this software, that is not available, or I have not figured out how to use it yet, is to create preliminary drawings and print them PDF for our tech-reviews. There is no "mask feature" that can add a drawing border or a plotview type of area. At least I have not found it. Review Source OW Oded W. Cons Trail - very limited. I had to open minimum number of files to assure that i will be able to proceed to open models when needed. In General, i need it for short uses a few times a week... We needed something that would allow us to view models upfront during the quoting stages and this software has allowed us to do that with ease. Pros The ability to open 3-D models no matter what format our customer's sent them to us. You do not need to have prior knowledge of 3-D software in order to use this product as it is very user friendly. Cons Would have liked the ability to just click a button to show all dimensions, but with this version, you can click on each location and get the information you are after. Review Source AS Aaron S. The program works with large assemblies with reasonable speed, although loading could be faster. I'm able to use the program easily to get the data I need from it, in terms of CAD conversion and measurement images for stress analysis reports. Cons Compatibility with current Catia releases. Our customers use newer releases of Catia than EnSuite has compatibility. Unfortunately, that simply makes the software inadequate for our needs. Review Source PH Paul H. Pros I do not remember much about using this software. I was looking for a free CAD viewer and our IT directed me to this program. I used it primarily to view CAD files to understand what the parts looked like and didn't have the opportunity to explore it's feature in the short trial period Cons Trial period was too short. It expired before I was able evaluate if it was something I would want to purchase. It allows me to review models that customers send me and have better conversations as we troubleshoot part problems, without needing to travel on-site. Pros It is very easy to use and understand the features. I primarily use it for reviewing CAD models, and it can import any file type I've tried on it. So far, it's been a pleasant experience. Cons Since my current needs don't require many of the tools that are offered, I currently just have a free trial of it, which allows me 5 files per month of viewing. After the 5th, i use a backup software that i don't like. Having a true "lite" version that had fewer tools but was cheap or free would be nice. Review Source MC Matt C. I only use the "free" version so some features are unavailable, which is okay because I typically only use it to find dimensions on solid models. Pros I like how user-friendly it is. It gives me the simple dimensions that I need. Cons Sometimes it doesn't recognize radius features on CAD models so I have to use a different software to pick those up. Review Source MK Manish K. Pros It gives an option for users to continue their work without getting into buying expensive software. Pros The software was pretty straightforward once I got accustomed to where the buttons were. I was able to easily upload the models I wanted to view. I mostly used the software to gather dimensions from 3D models. Cons It was sometimes difficult to get the precise measurements I was looking for, but that may have just been able a familiarity issue. I was able to easily find workarounds. I used it to quickly calculate some volumes from some designs we had in a hurry. Unlike a lot of other CAD tools, we could analyze the models in no time with EnSuite-View, that's a thumbs up from me.
