We have enjoyed using Techship overall and are going to continue to use it. It has opened up better and more cost effective rates

Pros

TechShip has allowed us to use freight as an additional revenue stream. It allows us to give our customers better rates while make money ourselves

Cons

Does not seem to work well with TechAudit. We are still having a lot of trouble with chargebacks from carriers

My overall experience with Techship has been very positive. When we first started working with Techdinamics in 2022, the platform was a bit more developer-focused than some of the other shipping solutions on the market. The UI wasn't as polished as some competitor products, and it felt like it was built more for 3PLs and technical users than for front-line shipping staff. That said, the underlying functionality was what mattered to us most. The platform already excelled at handling both LTL and small parcel shipping with advanced business rules, which was something we struggled to find elsewhere. One of the major reasons we selected Techship was its cartonization capability. We were actually the first company to implement their Cartonization API, and it solved a significant challenge for us around rating shipments before orders were fully picked and packed. That functionality remains one of the strongest differentiators of the platform. Over the years, the product has matured considerably. The user experience and overall polish have improved, while the platform has continued to expand its capabilities. What has remained consistent is the flexibility. Whether you're a shipper trying to manage complex fulfillment workflows or a developer looking to deeply integrate shipping into your business systems, Techship provides a level of configurability that is difficult to find elsewhere. I highly recommend Techship. It's been a strong fit for our business and a platform we've successfully built many critical shipping and fulfillment processes around.

Pros

We've been very happy with Techship overall. One of the biggest advantages is that it acts as a central hub for both parcel and LTL shipping. Instead of maintaining separate processes for each carrier, our users can rate shop across carriers and quickly identify the most cost-effective option. For organizations that operate in a mixed shipping environment, Techship does a much better job than many competing platforms at handling both parcel and freight within a single solution. Another area where Techship shines is its flexibility around shipping rules. We can control which carriers are available based on things like the shipping location, customer, account relationships, or specific business rules. This level of configurability has allowed us to model some fairly complex shipping scenarios without having to build extensive custom logic ourselves. From a technical perspective, the API capabilities are excellent. Techship feels like it was designed with integrations in mind. We've built our own custom connections between our CRM, ERP, ecommerce tools, and Techship to automate rate shopping, shipment creation, label generation, bill of lading printing, manifest generation, and freight reconciliation processes. The platform has been flexible enough to support those integrations without forcing us into rigid workflows. One feature that particularly stands out is Techship's cartonization capability. Many shipping systems expect you to know exactly how an order will be packed before requesting freight rates. In reality, that's often not possible. For example, an order may contain a mix of warranty parts, hardware, and retail-packaged products that will ultimately be consolidated into different cartons during fulfillment. Techship allows us to configure packaging logic so that rates can be accurately estimated before the order is physically picked and packed. That capability has been especially valuable for customer service and finance teams. Customer service representatives can provide shipping charges up front, while finance can use expected freight costs for accruals and reconciliation long before the shipment is finalized. For companies with complex packaging requirements, kitting operations, or mixed-product shipments, we've found this to be one of Techship's strongest differentiators compared to other shipping platforms. Overall, we'd describe Techship as a highly configurable shipping middleware platform with strong integration capabilities, support for both parcel and LTL operations, and advanced cartonization features that solve real-world fulfillment challenges.

Cons

The platform does not provide full UI customization capabilities to expose all system configuration and API-managed fields. As a result, key values written through API integrations remain hidden from end users, limiting troubleshooting and visibility. API calls may be required to be resent using Postman or other services during the troubleshooting process if the API-written fields are not exposed for editing. When investigating shipping, rating, or fulfillment issues, users must rely on backend access or technical resources to view and validate API-populated data rather than being able to review and manage it directly within the application interface.

After the new contract and the update we have been less than satisfied with the service. Even our CSM had tried to meet and it never happened which is disappointing from a customer service aspect.

Pros

It is a solid platform with very little to no bugs. User interface is good. You can still add clients and carriers with ease. Adding a carrier has been easy and probably the best feature. Being able to change accounts when creating a new order has been very helpful, even when you select rate shop you can still change to a specific account which is great.

Cons

We were forced into a new contract that cost more and we have nothing benefitting from it. The advanced mark ups were a big selling point and we were shown a simple demo of how to but were not helped actually setup our mark ups and we have never used the advance mark up. After the last io update it has been a mess with all the accounts and their locations, you have carrier accounts, baseline accounts, and billing accounts and all in various locations yet somehow tied to each other causing lots of confusion. The design change has a few bugs in it which is annoying. There is a bug when you click the save button after entering the address on a new order but it actually does not save it. You have to click the save button again on the main page after the dialog box disappears.

Pros

TechShip has genuinely transformed how we handle order fulfillment. The speed at which we can now process orders is night and day compared to before — it's saved us significant time across our team. The rate shopping feature is especially powerful; being able to set up numerous conditions and rules means we're consistently getting the best rates without any manual legwork. It's made our operation leaner and more efficient in ways we didn't anticipate.

Cons

The sheer number of features and configurable rules means the learning curve is real — getting up to speed takes time and patience. That said, it's a con that comes with a silver lining: the depth is exactly what makes the software so powerful. If you're willing to put in the time to learn it, you'll be glad you did.

Overall experince is good. Ticketing system can be run better. Error received during shipping is too vague and the same error covers a multitude of issues is very confusing

Works well WMS. It has made shipping the orders 100% easier. Processing at the packing stations has helped management in the area focus on other tasks instead of processing.

I mostly handle the user access as I'm IT Helpdesk. It is easy to manage and works well for us. It seems to work well for our end users as well.

Customer service via a ticket is always handled quickly and professionally. The answers are always clear and to the point.

Overall, my experience with techSHIP has been positive. It’s a reliable tool for managing day-to-day shipping operations, especially when working with multiple carriers. From a Pet Valu standpoint, it helps streamline label creation, rate comparison, and shipment processing, which makes operations more efficient.

Pros

What I liked most about techSHIP is how it simplifies carrier management in one place. From a Pet Valu perspective, it makes it much easier to compare rates, generate labels, and manage multiple carriers without switching between systems. It helps streamline day-to-day shipping operations and reduces manual effort.

Cons

One of the challenges with techSHIP is that it can feel a bit slow and not always very intuitive, especially when handling a high volume of shipments. At times, troubleshooting issues or tracking shipments isn’t as seamless as it could be, and it may require going back and forth with carriers or support teams. Also, some features feel limited when it comes to deeper reporting or customization, which makes it harder to get detailed insights without additional manual work. Overall, it works well for daily operations, but there’s definitely room for improvement in terms of speed, usability, and analytics.

I would Rate the overall experience, support team and sales team 10 out of 10. Repeatedly having reps go above and beyond to make sure our systems are online and warehouses processing orders.

Pros

Ease of use, in person support sessions anytime I need help. We’ve been using Techship for 3.5 years now and love it.

Cons

This product more than meets our needs and works very well for what we do. We have zero complaints about this solution and that’s rare to say in the IT world.

My overall experience with Techship has been excellent. The platform has helped our 3PL organization serve our clients more efficiently and reliably. While no solution is perfect, Techship consistently works to meet client needs, actively seeks feedback, and continuously improves. Their tools make complex shipping processes smooth, and their dedication to excellence truly shows. Highly recommended!

Pros

Techship has been an outstanding solution for our business. Its functionality is top-notch, making shipping and order management seamless. The integrations with platforms like Extensiv save us countless hours, while their reporting tools keep us informed and efficient. Beyond the software itself, the Techship support team is exceptional—always responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Overall, Techship makes complex shipping operations simple, reliable, and stress-free.

Cons

The new Techship interface works well but comes with a small learning curve, and the colors could be a bit brighter for easier navigation. That said, these are minor issues in an otherwise excellent platform—it’s hard to find anything significant to complain about!

techShip allows to unlock new revenue streams that were not truly being captured. It has helped us stream line things operationally as well

Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Techship. It’s highly customizable, generates labels efficiently, and my team finds it easy to use. We also haven’t encountered many bugs, which has been great. Whenever an issue does come up, the customer support team is quick to help.

Pros

It’s very fast and handles large order volumes easily. It’s also highly customizable for each client.

Cons

It has a lot of settings, which is great for flexibility but can feel overwhelming when you’re first learning the software.

Our company, Lacore Logistics, is very satisfied with Techship. As a long time partner, Techship is always listening to customers and rolling out new features to better their systems and stay ahead of the competition.

Pros

Rateshopping features help maximize profitability. Cartonization helps our teams to pack orders in the correct boxes and also get cubic savings with carriers like USPS

Cons

The reporting aspects for Techship should be more customizable and also contain more data elements.. For example, it would be very nice to see isolated reporting for Rateshopping groups such as ECO, STD, EXP

What I like most about TechSHIP is its ease of use, responsive customer support team, and its RateShopping tool, which helps us stay competitive.

Error messages took a little getting used to and can be difficult to decipher at first, but customer support is always available to help.
