"Great dashboarding tool!"
Overall: Helping to build out the working relationship between finance and other internal stakeholders
Pros: Integrated with host analytics system, nice to create more user friendly dashboards that are easier for stakeholders to view & use
Cons: Takes some ramp up in learning curve and can be a little bit finicky. Can be frustrating for pure finance where excel workbooks & the freedom offered there is nice, but is important for connecting with stakeholders that are less excel savvy.
"Great Value for Forecasting Software"
Overall: Implementation was a bear, but now that we have it working and our processes in place, it's a great tool and value for the money.
Pros: 1) Ease of importing. 2) Budgets and forecasts included. 3) Forecasting by month using % of revenue or fixed amounts (level or variable). 4) Ease of adjust forecasts each month. 5) Easy and flexible reporting including analytics and comparisons and trend analysis.
Cons: 1) No phone support for smaller clients. 2) On-line help and training videos need to be more comprehensive with step by step instructions. 3) Although importing is easy, it doesn't have many safeguards or instructions and resulted in a lot of clean-up (months worth). 4) Support is primarily through correspondence. Because of time zones, it can take days or weeks to resolve a problem when a simple phone could resolve in 10-15 minutes.
"Nearly impossible to cancel "
Overall: decidedly underwhelming difficulty to cancel and constant charges
Pros: The product is pretty good - not as good as Reach but better than the cheaper ones - easy Xero intergration
Cons: Price, Difficulty in cancelling (you have to contact customer service and they delay response) I keep getting charged - there is asneaky 30 day cancelation clause which ensures they can rip you off for another month
"Great reporting tool"
Pros: We bought this as a supplement to QBO and it has really enhanced our reporting features and allowed us to show our finances in a better way.
Cons: You cannot set up different templates, if you make a major change, it keeps that for all the reports.
"Spotlight Reporting "
Overall: I am completely satisfied with it and I can give it a 4.
Pros: The best part about sportlight reporting is the visual graphs which draws a clear picture for the user and also forecasting for decision making.
Cons: It is not recommended for a small company that does basic bookkeeping. It will be complex for them to understand the reports. It is also pricey compare to Syft Analytics.
"Spotlight Reporting review"
Overall: The overall experience is great. Once you get a hang of the first company and group, the rest are easy to update
Pros: Most of my clients love the way it summarizes financial information into charts and graphics
Cons: The Consol can get complicated if there are many companies in the group and I need to justify a balance
"Next Level Reporting"
Overall: Overall, Spotlight has been a great add on tool in preparing management reports for clients to help them really understand their business and point out any pain points.
Pros: Spotlight lets you import budgets straight from Xero and allows you to customise report layouts and also offers in-depth charting and graphs which offer simple conversation starting points with clients.
Cons: When initially beginning to use Spotlight, it may feel a little overwhelming due to all of the options and layouts on offer. Can take a while to get used to it.
"Easy Financial and Project Reporting tool"
Overall: I was asked to recommend an efficient reporting tool to our financial department and this software stood out
Pros: This software uses brilliant for financial reports. projections and summaries. It turns small bits of data into sensible financial information. You don't need to be a financial expert to make proper reports. All you need is this tool
Cons: You may need to be patient and some of the functionality are not so easy to use. But once you get a hang of it, its very good
"Less time spent compiling reports"
Pros: makes it easier for multi tasking, report writing and submission of account summaries. The forecasting also helps the company to make decisions on the flow of finances in the company, so its easier for the decision makers to spend on the necessary areas in the company. The pricing is also an added bonus.
Cons: There were no cons experienced so far with the software.
