Have offered many more services that we did not have available from our last payroll company. Pros The customer service has been excellent. They are very responsive and they made the transition from our previous company so easy. Highly Reccomend! Cons No complaints thus far. There are always a few things to work out when you switch service providers, but they have been extremely responsive and accommodating. Reason for choosing Asure Highly recommended! They even helped me look into cal savers information as a new business that I was unaware of. Pros They are always available to answer phone calls and your questions and are very quick to make changes if they are needed. " January 16, 2026 2.0 We did not stay with asure for every long and changed over to a system that can handle multi-state and more advanced payrolls. Pros It is easy to use for a small business, but was very much out of compliance with multi-state taxation. Cons The system was a small business platform with no real single database for what we were looking for. The tax engine was not compliant. Reporting was minimal. In comparison to other systems, the pricing should have been much less to be competitive. Review Source JM Jenna M. In our experience, everytime we called in the person that could help was "in a meeting" and "would call us back in 15 min" just to never get that call. Even if you do not have issues just to submit payroll it's overly complicated system is not worth it. I would recommend other services which are cheaper and more user friendly. Pros There was nothing while working with this company that I would cinsider a pro. Basic payroll functions were overly complicated and there was no one who you could speak with that could help with issues directly. Cons After switching to Asure I had to reach out mutiple times to get questions answered and finally was able to get someone to walk me through how to submit payroll. It was an overly complicated process and almost no support. At the end of the year I was informed by the state they had not filed any of our withholdings for the entire year. It took 3 months to get someone to actually address this and get it corrected. We still have ourtstadning penalties and intrest from late filings that they have not resolved. My days are very busy and require the utmost attention in many ways. Using this tool is like have 2 more employees that work for me! Pros I liked its easy comprehension and practical usage. I have several businesses and it is crucial that certain aspects are made easier. This definitely aids in that. Cons It took me a few times to navigate, but is to be expected. Doing taxes, bookkeeping and payroll isnt always the most pleasurable tasks, but they have to be done. Then that company was bought out. Experience not so great, see above. Pros Originally with our 1st contract the pricing was stable and steady. We have 2 payroll employees getting paid once a month. Every year or so they raise my rate without warning. I then have to call and have them research the increase. They then do reduce it a bit. I feel that the year end pricing is quite high, once again, for 2 employees (24 checks per year). I called yesterday regarding this, was told management will be told and I would get a call back. Have not yet received a return call Cons Have not had a constant representative, seems that my original rep is out a lot. Have difficulty getting to my quarterly reports, have had to call several times to get my information. But I am remaining confident that we will get there as they promised. Pros We have been with them since it was Payroll Maxx. The people that work there are always very nice and willing to work with you. They seem to genuinely care about your company not just a name in the system. Cons The change of our contacts that do our payroll. We have had a new person most every year. Wasn't happy when the old one retired and no one told me and I was hanging out there without one. Pros Once I got the hang of the program it is pretty easy to use. I also have a good representative that responds back in a timely manner. Cons Training doesn't teach you enough when starting because it isn't user friendly and there is no manual. Pros We only use the for our HSA account. Can't say anything about the payroll and tax management department. They respond quickly to any questions or issues we do have. When I had to keep explaining what I needed info on it was hard not to get a response that same morning. Not necessarily Asure's problem just that I only work a few hours a week. Pros They will send quarterly reports to my home email as well as church email. Cons Someone different every time I call with a question. I only work 1 day a week in the morning here at church so they do not necessary get back to me that morning. Pros if it works.. great.. but the time and money paid to the states on our part is not good.. Cons the fines and penalities from our state payroll tax returns not being filed on time.. we lost our lower rates from state because this was happening.. your training was very weak.
