I was able to run a successful fundraiser for my nonprofit last year.

Pros

Ease of use and branding. Running my fundraiser last year to help street dogs was a breeze, especially the ability for people to track campaign progress.

Cons

The fees should be less, PayPal giving charges zero and 0%. I'm sure by cutting your fees you could still cover expenses, gain more clients, and pitch it as a way that your brand is giving back.

Our giving day has been an even greater success thanks to GiveGab, and their team is so friendly and helpful.

Pros

The platform is very simple for both front-end users and administrators, and it has 90% of the features we were looking for. The team at GiveGab is amazing in terms of support.

Cons

A few things were inflexible, so we couldn't customize them. It was difficult to automate some things (specific donor challenges)

I don't know what software you're referring to, because I just reviewed one system but I think you're now asking about Capterra.

Pros

The interface for both the user and the administrator is clean and easy to follow. The integration with social media, use of images and videos, and other features make it friendly and modern.

Cons

We wish we had greater control over some things, like image layout and display of information. You currently have to show your monetary progress, and it's discouraging early in a campaign to show a low amount raised.

Pros

I love the way that we can customize the software to better match our branding for our Giving Tuesday campaigns. I also like that multiple users have the ability to coordinate influencer/ambassador campaigns from a single platform.

Cons

My only real concern is the price, which can be rather prohibitive for a tiny nonprofit such as ours. We primarily use this product on Giving Tuesday, as it is connected with the state of IL's promotion of this day. During this time, GiveGab waives the various fees associated with using the software.

I have a much easier time tracking registrants and donors using GIveGab. It’s been simple to contact previous donors throughout the time we’ve been using the service.

Pros

I love that it’s intuitive, but even if you have a question or can’t figure something out, the customer service chat is extremely responsive.

Cons

I wish they offered a Text-to-Give feature like Constant Contact does.

The customer service team at GiveGab is phenomenal.

Pros

This software is incredibly easy to use for our customers. Donors can easily make a gift online during our Annual day of Giving and we've never encountered any confusion from our customers. The product is also great to use for the variety of gifts we receive during our Day of Giving. We can easily pull reports and determine successes based off of the transparent data.

Cons

When we first started using the product, it did seem rigid without a lot of flexibility. However, the GiveGab team really listens to their customers and each year they make modifications to better serve their customers' needs.

We've used GiveGab for a number of successful giving days. I appreciate the timely replies to questions/concerns and understanding of the community foundation industry.

Pros

I greatly appreciate how streamlined and straight-forward the process is to get ready for our 24-hour online giving day. Having a designated staff person as your contact leaves our the guess-work of who you need to connect with for questions.

Cons

The software is straight-forward and easy to learn. Perhaps additional customization under the matches tab.

Our experience has been very positive. Their customer support team is always there to help, and is open to suggestions for improving the software which makes us feel valued.

Pros

CFOS likes the flexibility of the software which allows us to use it for a variety of purposes for our diverse mix of component funds. It is also helpful that each administrator can log in and make changes without our help.

Cons

We are very happy with this software and do not have anything to share here.

### "Our First Giving Day - During A Pandemic"

When our in-person events were cancelled for the safety of our attendees and donors, we needed a safe way to still raise the necessary funds for our hospital system. GiveGab gave us that way with hosting a Giving Day. The planning period was much smaller than the time we put into our events and our expenses were far lower, with an increased net revenue. This experience allowed not only the hospitals to maintain optimal service, but it gave our donors a way to express their gratitude for our front-line workers in a meaningful way.

Pros

In the time of a pandemic, we completely had to shift our fundraising efforts to a virtual aspect. Everything shut down around us, but as a hospital, the need for funds remained. GiveGab gave us a way to reach our donors in a meaningful way and supported our mission. The customer service we received in putting together our very first Giving Day on a tight time schedule was so valuable and lead to a direct correlation of our resounding success.

Cons

As this was our first Giving Day, we utilized a lot of streaming of videos and this seemed to be something more on the amateur side for GiveGab as there was not a lot of technical support available and this caused some hiccups throughout our day. We pushed thru and still had a meaningful experience, but a smoother execution was desired.

Pros

I appreciate the ease of use and affordability, especially since we don't use it all that often (mostly just for giving days). The pages also look nice and professional and are easy to customize.

Cons

The reporting features aren't as robust as I would like them to be. For instance, it would be great to pull a report of both offline AND GiveGab supporters.

Pros

GiveGab is hands down the easiest giving day platform I've used since working for various non-profits. There are so many ways for admin to make their page as simple or intricate as they want, and their customer care team is with you 100% of the way with any help you may need! I also love that you don't have to wait WEEKS to get your donors information- it is ready SO QUICKLY so that Development teams are able to thank donors quickly and move into the stewarding piece of the puzzle!

Cons

There seemed to be a glitch in the system when the giving page did not work for about 30 minutes at the start of the giving day but was wonderful otherwise.

Pros

Great opportunity for the community and the state of Idaho to generate visibility. The visual presentation is very nice.

Cons

The 'Add Your Story' page works OK but could use more work on the Formatting, as it was difficult to add columns and when placing the Cover Photo, I had to go back and forth to get the image and wording the way I wanted it. Also, it was difficult to figure out where and how the 'Manage Sponsor Matching' appeared on this page. it would be nice to have an easier way to see the names of the donors internally. Is there also a way to add those donors who donate cash? I attempted to get help from your customer service dept, but they never called me back when they said they would be notifying people about extra incentives.

Very good - I had to jump in when an employee departed and they were very patient with my lack of previous exposure to the product.

Pros

We went with GiveGab due to their level of support during your giving campaign creation. We are a small staff and really benefit from their level of assistance!

Cons

Really none, when there is an issue, they are on it immediately and pursue solutions until it is corrected.

Easy to donate, people found the site attractive and liked that we could include pre-populated giving levels, pictures, and videos.

Pros

The customer-facing pages are well-designed and easily editable. I thought the customer service was easily accessible.

Cons

I think the functionality from the administrative user perspective could be improved, including a walk-through of the system when people sign up for an account. I would have set up my campaign differently if I knew some of the functionality earlier.

Over all we have had a great experience with GiveGab. It has made it easy to gain a little extra money on Giving Tuesday.

Pros

I like how easy Give Gab makes it to receive donations for our non-profit organization. We participate yearly in a Giving Tuesday fundraiser powered by Give Gab and each year we are provided with plenty of social media and other marketing tools to get people to donate.

Cons

One problem I found with Give Gab is in completing our profile and uploading our branding. It was difficult to size our images to the specifications set out by the Give Gab platform.

Give Gab facilitates our annual 24 hour giving campaign. It is effective, easy to use, prompt assistance with any problems (usually user error), and a nice looking platform as well.

Pros

It is easy to use and navigate and the response time on help inquiries is very quick. We have greatly benefited from this platform.

Cons

The only thing I wish were different is being able to access the collected date longer into the future after each event.

I didn't make the selection choice, but I know those that did found it was a much better product than what they had used previously.

The GiveGab software is intuitive an easy to navigate, edit, upload and manage.

Remembering from year to year how to manage our profile, but it comes back easily.

Overall, for larger nonprofits, this is a great software for Giving Days and community engagement. We will continue to use them with our local partner but cannot afford to use them on our own (within our budget parameters).

Pros

We like the ease of use in setting up a user profile and telling out story to people who might choose to donate to us (we are one of many organizations using this platform for the same campaign).

Cons

There weren't many downsides except the cost for a small nonprofit. We really liked that donors could cover the fees per transaction and many chose to do that!

Pros

GiveGab's giving day product is robust, secure, and well-maintained. Their product team helped us develop the giving day site of our dreams, and—with the help of their amazing product and customer success teams—we surpassed our goals. Our expectations were high and GiveGab delivered.

Cons

Our reporting for Notre Dame Day is complex and there is room for improvement in how we report our data. Periscope was okay but didn't offer us as much flexibility as we would have liked.

It is very easy to set up. Staff was able to quickly understand the software.

Nothing, using it only yearly it is easy to go back in and update what needs to be updated. The price is in expensive per donation.

Pros

It's easy to customize our non-profit's page, and navigation is relatively straightforward. We also like the option for donors to cover the cost of the transaction fees so we get the full donation they intend. Although, the button to do that could be bigger. We've had folks miss it in the past.

Cons

Getting our donor's information has not worked how it should. Whenever I click export, I never get the email. I have double checked my email address and my spam/junk folder and it just never shows up. Also, while remembering credit card info works well for online donations for individuals, it doesn't work great for in-person events centered around our state's day of giving. Having something like a "I'm done donating, please forget my credit card data" button would help us move on to the next attendee who would like to donate using our tablet or laptop.
