What I like most about it is the ability to create customizable reports for specific organizational needs. The information regarding the amount raised was very clear Cons It was buggy to start with and I didn't like how the matching funds were counted as part of the funds raised for the day. Also the process for adding offline donations was not intuitive. I had to spend a lot of time trying to find the place to make the entries each time I made one, which was not often. Downloading donor information was also not simple. Needed addresses to send letters and that wasn't readily available. Matches are a way to motivate donors, because when they see their donations could be doubled, it incentivizes them to give. Regarding addresses, we've heard this feedback from others and are in the process of requesting this information from every donor on the platform. June 28, 2018 4.0 We were able to raise money for our organization. Pros It was fast and easy to set up a link for people who wanted to help raise money for our cause. Instead of having to establish an entirely new account, they could easily do it right from our organizations home page. The fees were lower on Give Gab than on the previous platform we used. Cons Several things: slow customer service response. They got back to me, but I had to contact them three times before they actually responded. There was no way for each individual to select the single amounts of money they wanted to use. The administrator had to pick the denominations and then everyone else just had to go along with it. When an account would be created from one email address, there was no way to edit the user name or information on that account. One of the people who wanted to fundraise wanted to change the username associated with the email she originally put in and it wouldn't allow her to. Review Source SG Scott G. Easy to link a bank. Customer support emails were helpful. Cons Customer response is misleading. There is an instant message that pops up but its just a bot. A little frustrating. Regarding your comment about our chat feature being a bot, the support tool we use has real live people responding. Sometimes our support tool tries to answer questions with prompt feedback through artificial intelligence so we can improve, which may have been what you encountered as a bot. The Customer Success team aims to respond within 2 hours to a chat - but sometimes the "bot" answers questions before we do in a small percentage of conversations (this is usually before 9 AM or after 5 PM EST). We still follow up after the fact to ensure your question was answered! I'm sorry you were misled in who you were chatting with. Rest assured, there is always a human on the other end and we are more than happy to help you with anything you might need :) JG Joseph G. I can say the capabilities are much more enhanced and intuitive than what we had been using. Reports are easy to set up and modify and the customization is great for what we use it for. Pros It is extremely easy to use and if you get stuck on anything, their support is fast and fantastic. Pretty much everything you need for a successful social media campaign is at your finger tips. Cons We were part of a county-wide fundraising campaign and everyone's page looked similar (same color background, etc.). I would have liked to have branded our page to our colors and feel ...but this may be more based on the choices the overarching campaign made. Pros I liked the following most about this software: It was easy to use on most things. Those parts I did not know how to use the staff helped me. They were kind, patient and timely. With this software we were able to reach 72% of our fundraising goal. The previous year (we did not have access to this software) we met 0% of that goal. Cons This software was linked to another system, so we did not get full credit for our fundraising efforts on this platform. We are excited that this feature will be added this year! June 21, 2018 4.0 Pros Customer services is extremely prompt and works via a chat that is right on every webpage. Also the user interface is super straightforward. Cons The reporting could get a bit better. They email you the file as opposed to downloading it directly and the addresses are all in one cell and not broken up into Street, City, State, Zip, Country, which makes importing into another CRM extremely tedious. They were prompt and curious and offered helpful suggestions. The free fundraiser has proven successful and we are up to 88% of the goal. Pros Easy to navigate, even for a non technical person like myself. Cons I had trouble changing font color when trying different themes. I did not change the theme because of this issue. Pros Very easy to set up our campaigns. Then donors get instant gratification seeing their donations and comments posted immediately on the site. It looks so professional and sleek. I can't wait to use it for our upcoming Memorial Walk event! Cons Working as a volunteer for my not for profit organization, I fear for every penny we endeavor to collect!
