Overall: Great for a quick start, ready to use, load information and start cashing money
Pros: FloreantPOS is a complete POS solution for small restaurants that want a quick implemantation, ready for several data bases, report costumization and creation, support for kitchen printer or screen.
Cons: Open source tools for creation or modification of reports and tickets can be a little tricky, but you get the job done

Overall: We have experimented with all the open source POS's we could find and Floreant is by far the very best in terms of simplicity and functionality

Overall: Floreant POS is an excellent system with no monthly fees, easy setup and great customer service. You can always contact them to get your questions answered and see if this system is right for your business. They only charge for customization and plugins. Also if you need technical support they will charge reasonable.
Pros: Open source, Simple and Intuitive interface, I am running a terminal in mac.
Cons: I was looking for API to integrate my own site. Just waiting.
