"The best dental software on the market! "

Overall: Overall great experience working with Core Practice! very happy out surgery decided to change over!!!! best thing that we could have done!

Pros: Its so simple and easy to use. Has so many great useful features!!! Has the best perio charting system iv ever worked with integrates so welly with all the x-ray/imaging software we use cloud based & is accessible for outside of the office from your phone!

Cons: I cant fault it so far. Iv been extremely happy with it all & its got ongoing features that come out regularly

Switched From: Dental4Windows
Reasons for Switching to Core Practice: Head office made the decision to switch, i had no part in it & dont exactly know what made them, but i am defiantly happy about it.

"Half done product. Bad Support. Terrible practice to keep you locked in."

Overall: It started as a very nice one with lots of promises and excitement. Slowly it started turning into bad one with frequent problems with no solutions, bug that don't get fixed, blaming everything on something else. Literally no improvements for 2 years and even when there was one, we would never get it. Do not know who got it. The last straw was when we decided to switch to another platform and they are not willing to provide full data. It's been almost 6 months and we are still waiting. Just making it difficult for us. Not a very good move to keep customers locked in. So beware.

Pros: Only good thing I can say about Core practice right now is ease of use. It is fairly easy to use system compared to others.

Cons: - Frequent problems in basic functions and full of bugs - Some features are half done and when you reach out to them they suggest not to use it. Why have it then? - Not everyone gets the updates - Lack of integrations - High SMS cost - Lack of customer service. They don't listen and their support people have no idea about anything - Worst one for our industry is that they don't give you all data if you decide to move away from them

Reasons for Choosing Core Practice: They showed promise. It was a new product and the team was very nice back then
Reasons for Switching to Core Practice: Needed something that is cloud based and based on modern platforms. Core practice sales team made it sound really good.

"Core Practice review"

Overall: Find it very cumbersome and frustrating.

Pros: Ease of logging in through mobile for quick overview of day book

Cons: No ease of use at all. Too many steps and clicks required to do every little thing. Cannot rearrange items on a treatment plan in order that you want Can't click and drag items Can't have notes written up in 'unsaved' form, so that rough notes can be jotted during appointment, then checked and 'ticked through' later- so rough and often incorrect notes are 'saved'. No easy way to know which ones haven't been double checked. Notes templates too complicated- have to spend time to keep modifying templates to work better No provision to write personal patient notes- regarding family, hobbies, etc Invoicing and payments in separate tabs and so complicated. Used to use EXACT Dental and it was so simple. 'Comments' easy to select, but cannot be edited and also don't print out on pt records. 'Treatment notes' harder to select- too many clicks No prescription pad template. I still have to use EXACT template to print out prescriptions.

Switched From: EXACT
Reasons for Switching to Core Practice: Accounts team found some features harder on EXACT. Reports were harder to do through EXACT.

"Worst software I have ever used"

Overall: Terrible .It doesn’t make appointments easy , makes simple tasks too complicated. Imagine having a stupid appointment book that when you click today page on Friday takes you to the previous Monday. What moron made today not today and thinks that was good

Pros: The most important part of dental software is to make dental appointments.Core practice is just plain rubbish. You lose patients, Staff hate it.

Cons: Over complicated . To manly clicks. Useless at making appointments.
