We are about two months into the implementation process and it has gone more smoothly than expected. Support training is super helpful in getting the team members up to speed.

Pros

Having the ability to track a project from a an early lead, to an estimate and proposal and through the construction and completion is incredibly helpful to have all the information on one platform.

Cons

The cloud based platform can have some compatibility issues with certain browsers (Microsoft Edge). It can get bogged down in the Redline planroom and takeoff features with really large files.

Using has made keeping track of our projects more smooth. I can easily track job locations while being miles away.

Pros

I think that the software is user friendly. It makes navigating and setting up jobs easy. I also enjoy my agenda because I work work on tasks assigned to me while also setting a task for my teams. It allows to restrict what others can see while also allowing us to work together on projects.

Cons

I do not have anything negative to say about my experience so far. I have enjoyed using and making projects more organized.

Our journey with has been nothing short of a complete failure. Despite investing significant time and resources, we were never able to fully implement our system, yet we were charged the full first-year fee with no offer of even a partial refund. Our onboarding and implementation process spanned 3.5 months as we struggled to align with their system. We encountered a major roadblock in adapting their scheduling/dispatching module causing significant delays and preventing us from progressing to other modules. Their workaround instructed us to rely on static reports, which proved impractical and irrelevant to our workflow. Ultimately, we had to make the difficult decision to abandon our efforts to implement ConstructionOnline. We communicated our decision to the implementation team as well as the Sr leadership in writing and requested a partial credit. Given that the system was never fully implemented, we expected at least a partial credit for the first year's SaaS fee. Instead, there was no response from the leadership at all, and the reply from the salesperson simply stated …” that our account would be deactivated to avoid future charges” ….

Pros

Everything presented in the Sales pitch met with our needs during the original disucussions with the sales team.

Cons

We could never get Scheduling / Dispatching to fit our needs. We simply wanted to be able to see our backlog of projects and to be able to schedule a technician against the open opportunity in real time. Instead, they had us create reports, run the report, and then see the outcome. This was totaly impractical.

Very much like the system while in the field and at the office. Allows me to see where my team is clocked in at and their daily logs

Pros

Ease of navigation through the app. The dashboard is nice to be able to see things at a glance. Ease of use between desktop and mobile.

Cons

Some trouble of clocking into projects correctly. I select a project and click in, the system often reverts back to “general all projects” instead of the selected project

My experience has been great! The customer service team is amazing. I've had a few technical issues over the years that I have used the program but the cs team has always fixed it right away or gotten back to me with a solution in a timely fashion.

Pros

Simple to use. Great customer service. Program has everything my company needs. Easy to navigate the program and upload information.

Cons

The price is a little expensive but worth it. I didn't find another program that met my companies needs that was cheaper.

Our experience with was excellent from the initial contact through the demonstrations and all the way to our starting our 2-week trial. Everyone we dealt with was great at both answering our questions but also in the demonstrations with respect to ensuring all our questions were answered to our satisfaction. We had looked at 3 different software platforms to determine which would best fit our specific needs, and after going through demo sessions with all three, we landed on ConstructionOnline as being our frontrunner. Great people and user friendly software that delivered big results; a winning combination.

Pros

Ease of use and ability for customization specific to our needs were two of the biggest wins in our minds.

Cons

We actually found nothing that we saw as an issue with the software

Great and very productive! Need optional column headings added back for alternative work. Happens on almost every bid and we dont have an option.

Pros

Easy to use, well organized. Easy to create a project, estimate, and send a professional proposal.

Cons

Scope writing process needs some improvements. This is a big part of the process. Needs formatting issues corrected with spacing, etc. Also, we need to have optional columns added back

### "If You’re a Residential Contractor, This Software Does It All"

Aside from its features, the best thing about this software is the exceptional customer support. Wait times are minimal (if any), and the team knows the product inside and out. If they don’t have an answer right away, I always get a quick callback. As a residential renovation company, this software works perfectly for our needs. While I don’t use all the features, I can see how it’s versatile enough to benefit larger construction companies too. Highly recommend

Pros

This software is fantastic and super easy to use, especially for estimating. The estimation section, complete with assemblies, is my go-to. I frequently use stored templates I’ve created, and the ability to save custom estimates as templates is a game-changer. The Redline section is also amazing for take-offs, which can be seamlessly sent to an estimate—something I haven’t seen done elsewhere. All estimates can be exported to QuickBooks or Excel, making integration a breeze. I also love the variety of reports available. They can be used as-is, customized, or exported as PDFs. I often import these into Excel for further personalization. A standout feature is the ability to see your job margin and adjust markup to maximize profit while staying competitive—extremely useful for tracking profitability. The Selections and Change Order sections are incredibly helpful. Clients can easily approve COs and selections, preventing misorders and avoiding inadvertent issues. Plus, clients can access various reports and progress updates, keeping everyone on the same page. We also use the chat feature for job-specific communications, saving us from digging through endless emails. Weekly job notes and progress reports are posted here, and we share updates directly with clients. Lastly, the ability to take and organize photos is fantastic for both internal records and keeping clients updated on progress. This software truly streamlines our workflow and improves client communication.

Cons

There are times when I wish a feature was developed to work better for me, and they are not always available quickly. Usually, I find a way to work differently or export to a PDF or Excel and get what I need that way.

I like that UDA is always looking to improve their product. I feel like they understand that what I need in a management software is evolving and they are keeping up.

Pros

UDA/CO is very easy to use and is intuitive in it's layout.

Cons

Really a small thing. the AI chat feature is always popping up right where I am going when I first open the application. I also find that notifications are hit or miss sometimes.

I am loving how it truly incorporates all of these different aspects of construction management into one seamless program that offers tools for the guys in the office or the field. ( Your work is only as good as the tools you use and this is a tool that every professional needs!)

Great experience with people working at UDA. They know what they are talking about and they have a product that you would have to pay way more to get the same features. I have been with UDA since 2013 and they have never stopped improving their product. I probably will never switch to any other product.

I love this software setup. As I expand my office again, I look forward to using some of the advanced features to help streamline our approach to building.

Pros

I really love the accessibility of all your documentation for each project. Whether it's an estimate for the bank, contracts for the homeowner, or bids from sub-contractors, it's all right there.

Cons

I purchased Construction Suite in the past. I had gotten out of the game for a little bit pursuing some other projects. Now that I am building again, I wish there had been a little more loyalty for past customers now that it has gone to Construction online. The features are still the best that I have seen.

The product is best in class and the customer support is always spot on. I never have long waits for answers and the ability to quickly reach an expert is very appreciated.

Pros

COL is a solid software all around. Very few softwares have the built in functionality in COL. If I was going to design proprietary software for my company, it would look and function very much like COL.

Cons

My only two complaints are the lack of more accounting integrations and the cap on projects. Having a few more options for third party integrations where COL doesn't have internal functionality would be a benefit.

As a designer CO centralizes everything about the project and reduces the amount of redundant software and locations for storing and discussing plans / files with everyone involved in a project.

Pros

Definitely the on-call on-line service. Top notch. There is always someone online ready to answer tough operation questions. File storage and sharing is fantastic too.

Cons

When we first adopted CO we spent a few weeks in online training and meetings getting used to where everything was. Not a week after our meetings stopped the websites layout changed considerably leading to many in our company to lose moral over the switch. There should be an option to choose which version you like new or legacy. Also the webcode seems to bug out often not storing project values such as 'designer' etc...

The platform is designed with a clean and modern interface. Navigation is relatively straightforward for common tasks like scheduling and document management. Some features have a learning curve, especially for new users.

Pros

It Combines project scheduling, estimating, communication, and documentation in one platform. It is modern, clean design that’s easy to navigate.

Cons

The mobile version is useful but not as smooth or feature rich as the desktop version. Some of our subcontractors report occasional glitches when accessing files or schedules.

5 star with exception to the app crashing and not being able to get help for that.

Pros

CO is an excellent platform for helping us run our business: From scheduling, messaging, file documentation, tracking selections, and providing our people in the field organized checklists, and To Do lists to keep their tasks organized. The instant support for problems or questions from the CO staff has also been invaluable.

Cons

The app is constantly crashing for all of us. When I've reached out for help in the past, customer service acts like they've never heard of such issues. Haha! not sure how thats possible. We've used CO for years and all of our users have always had issues. No it's not our OS or lack of an update or service issue. The app crashes. have to close out, re open sometimes several times. Sometimes it will never work.

When changes are made with the build the project collaboration is 2nd to none. Customer support has been available whenever I do not understand a particular component in the program.

Pros

Having information readily available without having to wait on someone taking time out of their day to respond to an inquiry. Having documents put into the system streamlines the work flow.

Cons

.I have not found anything that I am not satisfied with at the moment. As I continue to utilize the program, I am sure I will have a suggestion that hopefully enhances the program/

Excellent. I look forward to learning more about the tool and using it to add additional features to our project managers and job sups.

Pros

The functionality is easy to use and it is very intuitive to use even as someone new at the office but also working with a home builder. It has been easy to search for functionality. I have also learned a lot through the knowledge base on the client selection tool so we can start using as well as the different daily logs like the safety log. The organization is using it minimally now but want to grow our use.

Cons

Right now I haven't experienced any issues with the tool. The chat feature and the online search knowledge base has been great.

Overall UDA is a great product. So far I mainly use UDA for estimating and scheduling only. I love how the estimates can be converted into schedules.

Pros

I loved how UDA intregrates All Submittals, COI and data in place. And has the ability to monitor their status live.

Cons

I really do not like the Daily logs. If I have 7 trades at our project. I have to create 7 different logs for the day to document the manpower I had on site.

Pros

I am not an early-adopter, and will typically wait until things are flushed out and proven. When Construction On-Line came about, I was slow, almost resistant, to jump aboard. I’ve been using Construction Suites since 2009; it’s as critical to us as AutoCAD and Quick Books, and we were very satisfied. If you are like me, and slow to change, I encourage you to jump in, I did in June 2024. The client selection tool, which allows clients to upload choices such as plumbing and light fixtures, cabinet door styles, hardware, tile, flooring, etc. has hit a homerun with our clients. They enjoy the research and selection, and feel a part of the design process. Plus, the added bonus is, it has saved our team dozens of hours by having clients spend their time researching their fixtures before we enter into pros and cons of their selections. Lastly, the client portal which provides for the client selection tool, also facilitates change order approvals, and budget reviews is brilliant. As a design-build firm, the Construction On-Line Client Portal changes the builder/client relationship, by inviting them to be a true part of the team. Since June, I now have 5 clients using the Construction On-Line Client Portal, and they love it!
