Makes it easy to find stuff. Helps you stay organized. Keeps subs, vendors, owners, architects, vendors all on the same page. Pros I am a new user of this kind of software. A few months ago I did not even know that something like this existed. It has opened a whole new world for me and I am blown away by what this software can do. We demo'ed a few competing products before making a choice and it was the wide range of features at the most competitive price that sold us on ConstructionOnline. I especially like the messaging feature which is basically an email system dedicated to one specific project. Cons There is nothing I really dislike about ConstructionOnline, there are just some features I do not use as they do not meet my needs as a commercial general contractor. For example, I do not use Estimating and Change Orders as they seem to be less robust than some of the other software products. These features seem to be geared more towards the residential market. However, I realize it is hard to be everything for everyone. A feature, I think, that would be nice would be the ability to sign documents electronically. Maybe one can do it through Redline; if so, I have not been able to figure it out yet. As a general contractor one has to collect submittal packages from vendors and subcontractors, review them, and then attach a separate sheet to the package, that contains your stamp of approval/comments/signature on it, before you forward the submittal package on to the architect/engineer for review. On this submittal sheet there is space for the different reviewers to add their stamps as well. It would be nice if ConstructionOnline could generate this submittal sheet that you can attach to submittal packages sent to you. Currently, I generate the submittal sheet in another project management program, print it, place my stamp on it, sign it, scan it back into my computer, upload it to a pdf editor, add it to the submittal package file, and then upload the combined file to ConstructionOnline. January 9, 2026 4.0 Overall we are very happy with the product. We are over 1 year in and we are happy with the decision to jump in to ConstructionOnline for our construction management platform. We also appreciate the customer service - which almost always solves issues quickly and keeps us moving. Pros The estimating and the change order tools have been very helpful tracking the finances. Before using this application, we had a hard time keeping track of where we were in a project financially - This has been hands down the best part of the platform. Also, having such a transparent tool for change orders and selections has eliminated lost costs which we regularly had from changes getting lost. The tracking of decisions by our client has been super helpful, too. Cons We continue to have problems that almost always end up being syncing issues. We were never able to use the platform to communicate internally, which unfortunately requires us to keep other apps for that. But, it is workable. President Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "ConstructionOnline ...nothing short of a complete failure " October 29, 2024 1.0 Our journey with ConstructionOnline has been nothing short of a complete failure. Despite investing significant time and resources, we were never able to fully implement our system, yet we were charged the full first-year fee with no offer of even a partial refund. Our onboarding and implementation process spanned 3.5 months as we struggled to align with their system. We encountered a major roadblock in adapting their scheduling/dispatching module causing significant delays and preventing us from progressing to other modules. Their workaround instructed us to rely on static reports, which proved impractical and irrelevant to our workflow. Ultimately, we had to make the difficult decision to abandon our efforts to implement ConstructionOnline. We communicated our decision to the implementation team as well as the Sr leadership in writing and requested a partial credit. Given that the system was never fully implemented, we expected at least a partial credit for the first year's SaaS fee. Instead, there was no response from the leadership at all, and the reply from the salesperson simply stated …” that our account would be deactivated to avoid future charges” …. Pros Everything presented in the Sales pitch met with our needs during the original disucussions with the sales team. Cons We could never get Scheduling / Dispatching to fit our needs. We simply wanted to be able to see our backlog of projects and to be able to schedule a technician against the open opportunity in real time. I am difficult to please when it comes to how things intergate with my business and established methods. they hafve really thought through how us contractors "tick" good and bad. Their customer service, support and communication are second to none. Without the team helping me, my consultants and employees, this program would be hard to manage. The team has made it easy to grow into more projects and more difficult contracting situations. KUDOS. Pros I had been a user for a long time though I had to move to Procore for my company's growth requirements but quickly moved back to UDA when I had the opportunity. I love the integration of estimating with scheduling, project tracking, reporting and financial integration. Cons The tiered cost structure is a little difficult to maintain once you become a more proficient user and want to integrate more and more of the functionality with your day to day operations. We work with the C/O team very well and they have always been very helpful. Pros The online platform makes access easy and enhances team communication and project collaboration. For the suite of products and functionality available, Construction Online is a tremendous value for the money/subscription. This is a well rounded construction management tool that is easy to use for all stakeholders from the construction supervisors and vendors to the subcontractors and customers. The online chat and availability of phone customer support is also a plus. I also like the ability to store pictures, documents, drawings and other design documents. We also like the mobile app. Cons We are currently limited to 10 projects a year, and it cost a bit more to expand. In addition sometimes when entering a change order, if you don't save changes, you lose everything and have to start over. We are more streamlined, more efficient and overall more productive. We can follow up on the status of our projects easier. I can see who added and what dates they added into the data base. The Lead data base saves time from entering the same information multiple times on different projects. I really enjoy working with CO and am glad we have it. Pros Construction Online has made our communication on projects 1000 times better. We have access on our phones & computers. The Dash board is customizable per user, which is very helpful. All different employees can use this platform and have the information they need at their fingertips. We have really invested the time to make CO user friendly and we are more through in streamlining all tasks, so that each project has the same information, it prompts us to gather the same documents and information per project. Cons At times, CO gets bogged down. It can run slow. Refreshing in necessary often. Any time we have had major issues, the tech support listened and tried to solve our issues. They helped us weekly, listening to our struggles or wants and tried to fix our issues or help us achieve better results by figuring out a different way to achieve the same end result. We have demod and used multiple softwares but CO has been the best fit for our processes and team. Cons I wish the mobile version was more like the desktop. The mobile version works great but it’s almost like learning two different crm softwares when using both. Any Bugs or glitches in there system have been fixed in a timely manner. Overall this program is well worth the investment and time. Cons I find the categories/tabs a little hard to navigate, but the longer I spend the better it is. also the estimating and scheduling isn't very intuitive. it seems more complicated than necessary. August 26, 2025 5.0 I purchased this software for the introduction use of a small group of contractors. They would not use the program because they were unfamiliar with the program and the benefits of its use. I strongly suggested that they use the training offered by UDA, and they still refused to even try. I'm holding out now in hopes that they will do like I did and begin using the program all of the programs features and the accompanying customer support. Pros At first I was reluctant to use UDA Construction Online. The reason was because I am older and I rely heavily on my own programs which I have to admit were prehistoric to say the least. I could understand them but no one else could. Once I open my own mind to the use of the program and I saw how easy it was to get customer services I was sold. Cons The only Con, I can think of is that sometimes they change things without giving notice and that forces you to modify the use and reporting functions of the program. Pros CO is an excellent platform for helping us run our business: From scheduling, messaging, file documentation, tracking selections, and providing our people in the field organized checklists, and To Do lists to keep their tasks organized. The instant support for problems or questions from the CO staff has also been invaluable. Cons The app is constantly crashing for all of us. When I've reached out for help in the past, customer service acts like they've never heard of such issues. Haha! not sure how thats possible. We've used CO for years and all of our users have always had issues. No it's not our OS or lack of an update or service issue. The app crashes. have to close out, re open sometimes several times. December 6, 2024 4.0 UDA seems to have developed a platform that is incredibly complete and well thought out. Even though UDA has proven itself to be a player in the Technology corridor, the company still has great people working there and great interactions with us, the client. Pros My company enjoys the completeness of the platform and the helpfulness of the onboarding and support teams! COnstruction Online has really helped us streamline our processes. Cons Not really much to dislike. We experienced a learning curve but have migrated successfully from the previous offline version to this one and really like it.
