### "Excellent tool that combines e-mail platforms"

December 2, 2025

4.0

Honestly, I have used this software a few weeks but later I have stopped to use it as I am not used to it.

Pros

As far as I know you can combine a few e-mail addresses in a single playform so, you can check all your e-mails in just a platform.

Cons

I get too many e-mails from spam people but I guess it's not eM Client's problem. I need to unsubscribe first.

### "For corporate users looking to get off O365, this is your new email client"

October 1, 2025

5.0

Absolutely awesome. Very happy with this product. Easy to set up, seamlessly authenticates to O365 (including OAuth 2 authentication) and Google.

Pros

Handles multiple calendars and email accounts, including O365 and Google accounts. Calendars can open in a separate window and the UI is excellent.

Cons

A little slow when double clicking on an email message to open in a new window. Also applies to replies, so you have to wait a few seconds after you hit "reply" before you can start typing your reply.

### "Ok email server app"

July 10, 2025

2.0

It was ok. I will not use it again as it was not effective for my work load and caused more headaches then solving problems

Pros

I had an app to log into instead of online web browser only. I could also change the color to fit my personality

Cons

It kept logging me out. I would have to uninstall the app and then redownload it sometimes. My emails would not come through if the eM client server was down.

Response from eM Client

October 3, 2025

Hi Shauna, thank you for your review. eM Client is a desktop program so there shouldn't really be something to log out of, can you please reach out to our support with more details on what you mean by "logging you out"? Can you copy the error or warning you received? Also your emails are not received via any of our servers, we only have a server for our licenses, but your emails are received from your email server, our server being down would not affect your emails at all. We would be happy to look into this and assist if you can reach out to our team, thank you.

### "Decent mainstream alternative "

December 26, 2025

4.0

I started using em about a year ago to access a customer email server as I wanted to keep this account separate from work or personal accounts in Gmail or outlook.

Pros

It was pretty straightforward getting my email account working to send and receive emails using this app. Even for a beginner.

Cons

The user interface wasn't the prettiest but that is really being pedantic if I had to be. Otherwise if say composing mail is better on something like outlook.

### "Competitive & fully featured email client"

August 15, 2024

5.0

Fun to learn for professionals used to more limited Gmail but not as visually seamless although newer updates are very promising.

Pros

Very easy to use for beginners to e-mail clients, allows easy addition of accounts and quick to learn all the features.

Cons

Not as sleek as outlook & gmail competitors, doesn’t have an easy way to remember original license key account as it isn’t linked to your license key.

### "eMClient Windows application CANNOT send larger attachements (3MB +)"

February 3, 2025

1.0

No longer willing to deal with a company that cannot assemble a team to follow up on reported fatal flaws. I even pay extra for "VIP Support", but they don't even respond! Unbelievable.

Pros

I needed an email client to serve as a capable Windows email client for both POP3 email servers and for IMAP servers. eMClient was such a program and did work well for several years.

Cons

Beginning in January 2024, I started reporting a failure of emclient (for Windows) to be able to send emails with large (3MB or more) attachments. Initially, emclient support replied and asked very low level questions to determine how I was using emClient. When it became obvious that I knew more than their support staff, they stopped responding to my requests for help. Sending the same email through the Outlook web portal works fine. Sending the same email through the iOS emclient app works fine. Disabling Windows Defender firewall and antivirus doesn't help. I think this is a bug that they are unable or unwilling to tackle because only a small number of users are complaining and it is easier for them to lose a few customers than it is to fix the problem.

Hi Dean, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you experienced issues, but we do not plan to stop troubleshooting the issue just yet, the new technician assigned to your case is indeed newer but he is communicating with our devs to help you resolve the issue. We do not ignore any tickets intentionally - so when reporting a new issue or even reaching out after a while, make sure to start a new ticket instead of re-opening an old one. If the technician no longer works with us, it might unfortunately take longer for us to notice that an old finished ticket was re-opened. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

### "An email Client you should use"

May 25, 2024

4.0

I use Emclient on a couple of computers and I am really satisfied. It works perfectly, it is simple to use and you have all the mail features, such as contacts, calendar, email filters, rules. Sometimes seems to slow down if your computer has few hardware resources, but I recommend it anyway.

Pros

if you come from another email client, EmClient import your previous email configuration so you do not have to worry/bother about what to set in server and ports, very useful feature, especially for those who aren't skilled. Em Client is easy to use and you can have two email accounts in the free version, suitable for most people that have only personal email addresses. If you use at work you may need to set 2+ address but the license is very cheap. It is a valid alternative to Outlook (you must pay to use it) and Thunderbird (a bit confusing for me).

Cons

It's a bit slow if your computer is old, better to install in newest computers

### "eM Client an interesting email client"

May 20, 2024

4.0

I use eM Client on a Windows 10 computer to manage a couple of email accounts. The programs is easy to use, just a bit slow to load sometimes. I will surely install it on other computers. I suggest to try it

Pros

In the past I had several problems with an old installation of Outlook that stop working and I did not fix; as I needed my mailbox to be restored as soon as possible I installed eM Client that import everything from my outlook profile and worked without any problem, nothing to set. Wonderful! I like the interface, clean, you have your email folder, your calendar, activities and contact. I use on Windows, but it can also be installaed on Mac and mobile phones. The free version allows you to manage two email address. The paid version offer more features and unlimited email account and the price is really cheap. Highly recommended!

Cons

### "Light weight wonderful mail client to start with for free"

A stop shop for your personal mail management. Easy navigation, better features as compared to other mail clients, professional version available for business needs.

Pros

### "Love the features of eM Client. It feels snappy and is much prettier than some others"

February 8, 2022

5.0

Pros

I love how fluid the UI is. It makes checking email and understanding it a breeze. The built in calendar in the sidebar is a nice easy to use feature that makes looking at my day at a glance very easy.

Cons

There is a limit of three email accounts for free, which then gets quite expensive. There should be a mid-tier plan.

### "I was excited, but terrible reliability and horrible support changed that."

June 2, 2020

1.0

The reliability is awful, but the customer service... wow. If they were any quieter over there, we'd have to be in the vacuum of space. If I could buy this company, fire every employee and finish their system I would. I suspect they have very little development capability, or they are outsourcing all of this and that explains why getting fixes done is impossible at best.

Pros

The interface looks great (but has issues), it's fast and has some good features, but mostly they don't work as expected.

Cons

The search function doesn't work. That's right IMAP users... No searching for e-mails. No matter what. If I am looking for an e-mail from my #1 client, I first have to look on my cell phone, find the date and time in eM client and then sort by the Received By name. Sometimes it is there, sometimes it isn't. 99% of the time I am stuck using my cell phone to reply to people because eM client search doesn't work. If I have an upcoming meeting, occasionally (1 time out of 30) I can find the e-mail by typing in any ONE word that I can think MIGHT be in the e-mail message. You can't search by e-mail address, or name, subject nothing. I dealt with it for 2 years. I submitted countless documents, proof and technical information to support, and all they do is ignore me. I now am forced to just send them an e-mail every two weeks saying "Hello? Any update?" .... Silence. I'm a software engineer. I own a software company. I told them how to fix all of it. I offered for free, since it's been 2 years. They're not interested at all in fixing it. Beyond that, e-mails in the inbox show that they are from different people, people that I haven't talked to since I created my e-mail account. Why you ask? They blame it on "incomplete headers". I submitted header comparisons between all sorts of mixed up messages showing no difference... What was their explanation? Nothing. Silence.

Reason for choosing eM Client

Reviews online seemed promising at the time. They were likely bought.

### "Great option for a next-level email client"

September 5, 2019

5.0

I've used eM Client for the past few years and have been overall happy. That said, there have been frustrating moments with support and I really hope they fix the current print glitch mentioned above.

Pros

The main reason I use eM Client is the speed of the search. My job has me constantly searching a large database of emails and it's imperative that I find them quickly. When put side by side with Thunderbird, it absolutely dominates in search presentation and speed.

Cons

The most recent update has made it so that when I print emails, another daily task, eM Client always opens the system print dialog box despite that box not being checked. This takes a considerable amount of extra time with the number of emails I print. I opened a ticket but wasn't very happy with the reply which suggested that I move to a previous version which carried the risk of losing my fine tuned settings and more. In addition, for most users without search needs, I don't feel it's significantly better than Thunderbird so it may be hard to justify the cost.

Reason for choosing eM Client

Search on Thunderbird had formatting that I didn't like and was much slower for the number of emails and inboxes that I use on a daily basis.

### "Good solution for managing complex, integrated email communications"

September 5, 2019

5.0

I have found eM Client to be the perfect solution for my needs. I am able to access my saved messages and folders without having to pull them from the cloud. This is huge. Also I find the email interface to be much more user friendly than any of the cloud-based services. Finally, on the original setup, I migrated from Thunderbird and the entire experience was incredibly smooth and easy. This was a big plus as I was getting started.

Pros

This software allows me to manage 3 or more email identities from a single platform. It allows me to organize my saved messages for easy retrieval and long-term record-keeping. It allows me to search and quickly find past messages.

Cons

When Windows reboots the system automatically following an update, if emClient is running, the software has been vulnerable to corruption, and the process of checking and rebuilding the database can be cumbersome. This problem has improved over time, but the program remains vulnerable to sudden shut-downs.

Reason for choosing eM Client

This offered the best and easiest solutions for me to manage 2 professional and 1 personal email account through a single platform.

### "Could be the best email client on the market if not for license pricing"

May 2, 2023

3.0

emClient has the ability to be the best email program of its kind. It has everything going for it but still needs some polish and I am not certain the developers are "game" to doing the improvements that should be done. For starters, there is no message directional delete. This is a basic function in most email clients, most notably, Apple Mail. Delete a message and it should move up to the next newer message. Nope. Does not do that and when I suggested it to customer support they didn't even acknowledge the request and simply said that I should just highlight the messages I want to delete and hit the delete key. Sorry, after having the feature properly implemented in Apple Mail, there is no substitute.Setting up RULES is a bit of a cumbersome process compared to Apple Mail. It's really wonky compared to other email clients. There are too many steps with templates that you have to go through to set up a simple mail filter. I consider myself a pro at doing it on multiple clients and I ended up having to contact support to figure out how to do it with theirs.Still, I think the client is fantastic enough that I would want to purchase it, that is, until I got to their licensing policy. A license costs about $70. However, that's for one computer. Most people have at least two devices in their homes so $70 doesn't cover more than one.So, if you want two computers licensed, that's about $105. But wait! That $105 is only for the version out at the moment. Want future lifetim

Pros

Feature-rich, supports all major email accounts, has integrated calendar

Cons

Too costly for personal use, mail deletion not on par with other clients, creating rules a cumbersome process.

June 23, 2022

4.0

One of the best email clients I've used, better than outlook (otherwise I would be using that).

Pros

The main feature I was looking for when I found eM Client was the ability in integrate multiple email accounts from different providers into one email client. I reviewed many at the time (including Outlook)and found eM Client to be the best.

Cons

While you have added a theme builder it's not the easiest to use.

Pros

Cons

### "EM Client is amazing"

September 30, 2019

5.0

Started using it a few years ago with the free version but loved it so much that I decided to buy the license. I recommend it to everyone over Outlook because it's much faster and easier to use.

Pros

I love that this program is so user friendly. It's essentially the best desktop mail client I've ever used. Easy to navigate, easy to organise and super easy to personalise which is a great feature.

Cons

I'm pretty disappointed that with one of the more recent updates EM Client got rid of Frozen Smart Folders. That was actually one of my favourite features. I use so many folders so that really helped me make the decision to switch from Outlook and when they took that away I considered going back. With the most recent update I am no longer able to save jpg/jpegs from the email which I depend on a lot.

### "eM Client has been a useful and easy to use program to keep all of my emails in order."

July 23, 2018

4.0

The benefit is that I can keep all my jobs separate and manage them all at the same time. We work on 10-20 jobs at a time and this software has helped me keep organized and records of everything for those jobs.

Pros

eM Client is very straightforward and easy to use. It is what I like most about this program. I had never used it before this, but within an hour I felt like I had been using it for years. While it does lack the bells and whistles of other email software, it is for that reason that the ease of use is so good.

Cons

I don't really have many cons for this software, but it does lack in overall appearance. The other email software's that I use are easy on the eyes and look aesthetically pleasing. This is not really a con, but more of a personal preference for myself.

Don't go for it. I just put extraa burden on your employees.

Pros

Our organization recently started using eM Client, previously we were using Microsoft outlook. And sorry , I don't have any pros to tell but regret and frustration.

Cons

Here you go- 1- totally confused GUI. smart folders , local folders and exported folders all would have inbox. You will wonder why is that ? 2- I experienced a real hard time while setting it up.. I wasted my 5 hours too get to know it basic functions and how we can use things which very simple in outlook. 3- I used to send DSR form outlook daily which is in form of table. When I first start to do that in eMclient , oh my gosh, I can't customize a table , can't merge to rows, can't copy same row with its properties in other rows.. 5- if I compare crating an DSR mail avg time in outlook and eMClient , it have 10 min difference. 6- it always ask you whether you forget to attach a file in this mail? Even on a simply two line mail. Zero intelligence lavel lavel.

Pros

Cons
